Laudna and Fresh Cut Grass cast Message to talk some of the party members, and Fearne tries looking under the door. From the second episode of Critical Role Campaign 3. Subscribe if you want, and stay tuned for more videos~
@@KingsBard I didn't finish ExU, but Orym was always my boy. I'm really happy Liam and Ashley kept their ExU babies around. Same goes for Dorian, hope we get to keep him around for a good while.
@@KingsBard I generally liked the EXU characters, but Orym was probably my least favorite. This segment, however, convinced me he's an excellent addition to this campaign. Sometimes a campaign needs a straight man and he's it.
If every single Laudna message from now on has this (or at least if they remember to do it when its most creepy) I will be so happy. I have already headcanon'd this as being just something that happens when she casts messages. I love it.
Laudna's Message spell echoes in voices not her own, Imogen's is clear but faintly booming, and I like to think Fresh Cut Grass' has elevator music playing in the background.
@@Dyneamaeus "... Fresh Cut Grass' has elevator music playing in the background." This is pure brilliance. Muzak or Greensleeves like every telephone hold music ever? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ioi_-5sAuXQ.html
From the clips that have come out so far, Orym seems like a well-balanced character that is going to end up the most unhinged out of all of them by no fault of his own.
Horrific and wonderful. Loved Laura's cartoonish creepy little girl voice at the end. I want Laudna to be the Jester of messaging this time around, whispers every time.
@@francisxavier8374 i feel she would get the chains boon. She introduced Peté de Rolo as a talking semi familiar roughly similar to sprinkle or frumpkin
This was so great. They left Orym hanging in a horror movie with creepy whispers and weird metallic banging and noises drifting in. The little murder man will be ready to annihilate anything that tries sneaking up on him haha
How is it that after only two episodes, this is by far my favorite of Marisha's characters? Still a fan of Keyleth and Beau, but there's just something so fun about Laudna...and these whispers definitely add another amazing layer.
So I would like to point out that Imogen has had a problem with her telepathy and all the voices in her head and Laudna being the ONE person who could legitimately understand and empathize with her. You don't need the characters to ever say it, you just know that's what first glued them together.
I have a feeling do to whatever Laudna is that she may be absent from Imogens telepathy problem which is why they may get along she can help when it starts to go out of control.
@@SgtPriad She's confirmed by her abilities to be a Hollow One. That is, an undead person who retains all their memories and personality, but lacks a soul. Usually, they look like a living person, unless you use a spell to identify them. They can, however, use a feat to give people a vague fear/sense of unease around them, without them actually knowing why they're afraid. Her terrifying form isn't because of what she is, it's from her warlock patron. Warlocks of the Undead patron get a Form of Dread ability that allows them to channel the patron's horrifying visage.
I bounce back and forth between Marisha and Ashley... Each time either of them speak, that's my favorite. Until the next one speaks. haha I am so happy Ashley is here for the campaign and we get to enjoy her developing a character along with the others.
I really like the whole cast so far, but Laudna and Fearne are definitely my favourite. You can just tell Marisha and Ashley are having a blast playing them, and that might be my favourite part about it.
Just in case the cast is in this comment section y'all gotta know now how much we love Laudna's creepy messages. Keep doing it please? Thank you for entertaining us.
The official youtube video will be uploaded in a day or two. Be sure to comment on that one too. That would have a better chance of being seen by the casts.
Oh man I can't wait to watch this episode!! The costumes this year are amazing!! Seeing Marisha with purple hair threw me off and the more I looked around the more bewildered and confused I became!!! 😂😂😂😂
c1: Another luck roll- wow so broken. c2. Oh no, Sending ....this is broken. c3 Hold my beer- twice the sending and with themes. Wotc forced to make public apology.
at some point they're gonna have Sam saying something else at the same time eg. "We're coming for you" "We're coming" "We're coming" "coming" "where's my money"
It's going to be much harder to pull off with an audience, but I would love for the sound guys to plant echo boxes in the crowd to go off when Laudna sends a message.
@@chromegaman I think the point is that we hope it'll be as good as it was with the "Uk'otoa" or "the wolves" gags, which became amazing in live shows. It's a little creepy and fun when 8 people are whispering Uk'otoa at once... But when it's _hundreds_ of people, it really became something eldritch
I dont like some of the Characters. Travis always plays a better character than an 80 year old geezer. Laura seems to fade into the background as Imogen compared to Jester. Its been the FCG and Laudna show so far.
I honestly don't like the characters presented so far. Sure there's epic momentsl ike this for Laudna, but I don't like any of the other characters outside of Bell. And I also cannot STAND the bad southern US english accents, especially as someone that is FROM The southern US and is around the actual accents every day. These characters and the setting have so far been underwhelming compared to the start and cast of C2, who were FULL of charm from the moment they appeared on screen. Absolutely do not understand the fascination with FCG who is just this annoying 'look at me I'm the obvious cute fan favorite' and honestly that feels like the ONLY thing he's bringing to the table right now and seems pretty useless otherwise. This campaign has, so far, done nothing for me. I may just sleep on it and come back to it next year when I can just binge it in large quantities which might help me enjoy it more.
Been loving Marisha so far, it's great to see how much more into roleplay she is this campagn, in C1 she was pretty much herself as keyleth and pretty much herself as Beau too to the point even the others joked about how much like Beau she was irl but this campaign she's full on roleplaying and i love it Laudna and FCG are my favorites so far.
Erm... I hope you see the inherent logical flaw in your post. Keyleth and Beau are two insanely different characters. One was powerful yet timid, easily overwhelmed, goofy when stressed, and having to deal with a position of leadership thrust upon her against her will. The other was brazen, cocky and self-assured, and wildly out of touch with her emotions, and had to learn to deal with past issues instead of ignoring them. Marisha is definitely a multi-faceted person, 100%, so you COULD argue that she was playing a part of herself in both. But it really feels like you have a very narrow vision of what 'roleplaying' actually is, and are downplaying Marisha's abilities in both prior campaigns... All three characters require a great amount of RP to delve into their characteristics, emotions and insecurities, and they all are played in different ways. She's a great actor, basically! Just for future reference - you can easily compliment Marisha's roleplaying in this campaign WITHOUT having to play down her previous efforts. Laudna IS amazing, and Marisha IS playing her amazingly... just leave it at that. Hope that helps :)
2:10 they are now stuck with the canan that every time Laudna uses Message, there'll be creepy echoes. 4:00 how long have been sitting on that sitting on *that* joke, Sam?
Travis is Sam, Robbie is Matt, Marisha is Talesin, Sam is Marisha, Matt is Laura, Ashley is Travis, Laura is Robbie, and Talesin is... Ashley? Which leaves Liam as... Liam. Thoroughly confused at the end.
Man, I saw the title of this video before I got to this point in the episode. Please don't include spoilers in titles of videos; even minor ones like a joke a cast member makes. It really ruins the moment.
