YES. That drives me crazy on other cooking channels.. or watching them spend forever inefficiently scraping out a bowl with a tool that doesn’t work for scraping .
If you don’t scrape thoroughly you will leave a bite of dessert undone. On your dying day, gasping for your last breath, do you want to think about that missing bite you could have eaten. I think not
I immediately used this recipe this morning to make a lazy peach cobbler. It is such a great recipe. I made it in a cast iron skillet by doubling the recipe. It tastes like a chewy cookie on top of a soft and fluffy cake layer with fresh peaches mixed it. Oh my heavens is it ever perfect! This recipe is a keeper!!
This is a special recipe…..love it! I love that your Mom is in your head telling you to scrape the bowl well! 😁 Your attention to detail and explanation of why you do certain things makes your recipes memorable! Thank you! 💕
My mouth is watering right now 🤤 it’s my birthday today while hubby is at work I will make this as raspberries are my favourite fruit which I prefer over cake anyway. Thank you for sharing these wonderful recipes. Hi from Canada 🇨🇦
I just made this recipe using what I have (Blueberries) and OMG! How delicious!! I served it with whipping cream because I don’t have ice cream at the moment. But thank you for all of your delicious recipes! 😋
I already made a similar thing from your website/RU-vid channel and it tasted delicious! These types of desserts are new to me but they are really good.
I tried this and used 4 tbsp of powdered sugar instead of the cup of sugar, and vanilla almond milk, instead of dairy milk. I sprinkled a little powdered sugar after it cooled and it was amazing!!! Thank you for sharing your recipe!! This was so easy to make and very delicious and fun to make with my grandkids 😅❤
Hi, Kaleb! I made your cobbler last night! SOOOO yummy! (I had one peach and a small amount of blueberries… so that was the filling.). We loved the taste and texture of the “cobbler”… how the batter bubbled up over the fruit, and cooked to almost a cookie-ish texture! Thanks for sharing!
When will you be picked for a TV cooking channel?? ! EVERYTHING you do and explain is so simple .We could all try these recipes. Your demonstration is superb!
My Scottish grandmother made this , she called it pudding cake 😊 She also did it with a variation with caramel or butterscotch!!! Yum 😋 Thanks for another great visit 😊🍁
I just made it with strawberries and it's so freaking good... I wish I had some raspberries on hand, but even with strawberries it's perfect, thank you so much for your recipes
Here in the South, we call it "cuppa cobbler." Raspberries are actually quite strong or perfumy. We make this with peach slices for a great flavor combo.
looks amazing...i just saw someone else make one using buttermilk and lemon pie filling from a can.. i thought it was so easy..cannot wait to try one with blueberries..of all my utensils and appliances in the kitchen, my favorite hands down are spatulas..i love them for the fact i can clean the bowl out that it barely needs washing, (even though we obviously do) thx marie from canada
Perfect! I was looking for an easy recipe as I didn't have time to cook the raspberries and has no frozen. This was IT!!! Thank you, and thanks for scraping the bowl so I didn't have to yell at the screen lol😂😂
Looks delicious Kaleb!!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes with us. My husband and I enjoy your vlogs. I hope you have a blessed and beautiful day.
I got the same recipe for peach cobbler from a peach farmer in South Georgia 45 years ago. It's super simple and tastes very buttery. I think I would at least double the amount of raspberries . I use 4 cups of fresh or frozen sliced peaches, and there is a very good ratio of peaches to topping.
You came up in my Google homepage. I love how you explain this recipe and little stories while making it. You are so adorable, I HAD to subscribe. I’ll be binge watching your channel tonight!! ❤
This recipe just saved me. I was doing a different recipe with peaches. Batter was not right😱I looked this and changed to your batter measurements and dumped the peaches instead of raspberries. It worked and was awesome! Thanks for the recipe!
My grandmother and my mother would make this same thing. They called it Cup a, Cup a, Cup a Cobbler. They didn’t add the vanilla flavoring, the dash of salt or the baking powder. Now I’ll have to try it with the extra ingredients and taste the difference. My mother grew up in the depression. She said this was their go to dessert cause they usually had the three main ingredients. The freezer or pantry always had the fruit. Thanx for bringing the memory back. Maybe this weekend.
Absolutely love you, your country lifestyle, and the simplicity in your recipes. Reminds me of my farming upbringing, except they didn’t have a Wolf range. lol
We're selling our house so we've put all our "extras" in storage. There are so many things I cannot make -- right at the peak of fruit season in FL -- because we only have basic equipment. This is PERFECT. I bet it'll make the house smell amazing as well.
There's nothing better than eating any dessert with fresh fruit! Crisps and cobblers are my favorite desserts and since Kaleb put his peach crisp in my head, I just had to make it and it was absolutely delicious so next will be a cobbler. I cannot wait! I think "dump cobbler" is a great name Kaleb because even though it really is easy to make, dump cobbler sounds even easier. 😃 Oh my gosh my mouth is watering!
Mine is even MORE lazy…We make the crust with 1 c. Self rising flour, 1 c. Sugar, 1 c. Milk , 1 stick of butter. This the recipe my Mema ( grandmother) taught me when I was little and now I share it with my grandkids. So good!!!
Thank you for this recipe. I think my batter was kind of a bit thicker than yours, so my fruit didn't sink in, but it tasted great anyway. I love raspberries and this is a great way to enjoy them.
My grandmother’s angelfood cake recipe called for 1 cup of sugar. However, her 1 cup measurer was a lil bit bigger than 1 cup. Everything she made was amazing!!! Especially her Sunday family cinnamon chicken dinners!
Oh, simple and yummy. Just waiting for my frozen raspberries from my black raspberry patch. I'm going to sprinkle Cinnamon Sugar on top before putting it in the oven. Lesson from my grandma. 😋
This recipe is my favorite! I love the flavor . I have done frozen cherries.. also it doubles and of course I use a bigger pan😂it works with any fruit😂🙏🏼🥰thank you it’s delicious and super easy !
Kaleb, My wild hand picked raspberries taste too tart so how do i sweeten them (I tried cooking with 1/3 cp sugar & they mushed)? Also I'd like to mix a cup of blueberries with the raspberries can I do that? TY for your help & sharing your yummy recipe.
I used frozen raspberries without defrosting. It looked like it bubbled almost to the top of the dish and then fell. Also it was way too sweet. I’d like to try again. What did I do wrong?
Yes…it drives me crazy on cooking shows when they leave so much in bowls! Such a huge waste. I have a cobbler recipe that’s similar. It uses self-rising flour though. I also will sometimes add a small bit of cinnamon to the batter or I will sprinkle the top with cinnamon sugar before baking.
We had a 90 head dairy farm, so there was plenty of cream to hand crank lots of fresh ice cream. I’m tearing up thinking about those wonderful family get togethers.
