There is NO REASON for LDV D90 SUV infotainment system to be THIS BAD, but unfortunately - IT IS! 🤷‍♂️
In this video I'll show you what it looks like and share my early impressions as a private owner of this new and otherwise pretty nice Chinese SUV.
HOW could SAIC Motor release a car in 2022 with this kind of rudimentary, unhelpful, bad looking, unstable software is absolutely beyond me, as it surely shouldn't depend on the model range of LDV D90, since software is software - JUST UPDATE IT FOR EVERY NEW D90 VEHICLE, SAIC! 🙄🤦‍♂️

I've had my D90 for a couple of weeks and never had any problem with bluetooth connection from my phone (S20). I've only connected it once in the settings - its on auto-connect, and it connects every time in the car. The hands-free phone works fine with syncing my contacts, I can play podcasts or my spotify playlist. It might be an issue with your phone or in the options you're choosing - I'm not sure - but it does work fine. Also - I noticed many people complaining about the volume on start up. This is also adjustable in the system settings. My car always starts with the same sound I left it at last drive. I definitely agree that this system is nowhere near is cool/slick as many others - but we're saving $20-30k compared to similar vehicles - I can live with that.

Hey mate thanks for the tip on audio volume, I guess I need to look deeper into the settings, but the phone connectivity is just unreliable for some reason - yeah, maybe it's my phone or Android version, I'm not sure....

I have got my new LDV D90 Exec 4x4. Good size car. Petrol consumption is high. No maps on infotainment. I am thinking of getting a carplay AI box. Plus the initial pickup is very laggy. Dimitry what are your thoughts on Throttle Contorl? The Car manual that come with car is 2022 version and it says car can take E10 petrol as min ron required is 93 and E10 is 94 Ron. Apart from this we are very happy with the new car. Long distance rides is a very comfortable one. Car is good on 50 to 100 speeds. Lets us know your thoughts on the above. Thanks for your videos helped us a lot in decision making. Very fair analysis.Also we did not find most of the issues mentioned in your videos probably they are improving things.

Thank you for the question mate, please keep in mind that I'm not a car mechanic and never pose as an expert. I don't have a view on throttle control personally, but hear that a lot of drivers install it and it "helps" - not sure how much and if it's worth the trouble. You DEFINITELY need an AI Box or a Head Unit (Screen) for LDV D90. Check out some promo offers in my descriptions, you might find something good there.

You have Bluetooth auto connect switched off in the menu system. Try turning it on and everytime it should find your phone 👍

How is the ZS faring? My Astor,ZS in India has poor milage as of new but the car is new and hope it would improve.

Our ZST seems fine, my wife is annoyed by Bluetooth disconnecting all the time, otherwise still very happy with it.

I have just purchased an LDV D90, and I am having problems working out the main screen. If I use an USB the screen shows my maps. But if I just have Bluetooth on I get a crap screen and I cannot use my apps. What am I doing wrong? I expect that as soon as I turn it on the maps screen is on and apps are available. Thanks

Reach out to your dealer for clarifications, as firstly - I'm not seeing what you're seeing, so it's hard to comment, and secondly - things might have changed with software updates etc since I bought mine, and it's ultimately dealers job to make sure you're satisfied (or at least know what's going on). At the end of the day, if the infotainment is as crap as it was in my model, just buy yourself one of those smart screen Head Units I'm partnering with and be happy.

On your infotainment Bluetooth settings just switch on Auto Connect. Sorry for the double comment but the phone isn't causing the problem 👍

I'll post a follow-up soon - with a few other things to report - as I said above, auto connect just doesn't work, or I'm missing something else here.

Need to turn auto connect on in Bluetooth settings - slide over the setting switch - all cars have auto stop reset every time restart as a fuel saver but yes a pain - you need an apple phone btw as car play a good system - also I noticed the car doesn’t have climate control?

I had seen this video before I purchased the vehicle but the video still did not prepare me for just how terrible it is. Certainly the worst system ever created. The screen does not even stay on when playing music over bluetooth. It still goes into screensaver mode after a while meaning you need to keep touching the screen if you want to see what song is playing when it moves to the next song. Not sure how much value there is in seeing what is playing though since it is so terrible it does not even show the artist name, just song name and album. How on earth can album name be more important information than artist name? Maybe for Apple users it works fine since there is apple car play. However, for an Android user it is a disaster of epic proportionally terrible.

Just check out one of my discount codes for a wireless adapter - mind you, those need Android Auto and Apple Carplay to be already in the system before they can make them wireless, so if that's an issue, maybe "overhang" a Carpuride screen instead would solve the problem, but that closes up the reverse camera (so maybe consider putting one on top of the front dash panel). Not sure what to suggest there exactly, you'll need to see what works better for you mate. But yeah, the out of the box system in LDV is horrible.

my friend there is an update for that infotainment system but its the dealers fault ...they are lasy ... go to chinese version of this car and you will find the infotainment system is a kind of a beast

because you didnt understand me i will explain it to you .... i meant there is an update but the dealers dont want to import it to us unless there is a court to make their ass move and bring it for us
