@@김지호-u7y Really? Nice. I used to learn French, Chinese and Japanese. At first I thought it should be easy, but then 😅 French was easier because the alphabets are similar to English.
@@김지호-u7y im thai & i used to learn kor & chinese (now im learning jpn) so as my consider kor is the easiest bcuz of alphabets but pronunciation is hard but not even as hard as chinese, for jpn the pronunciation is the easiest out of these three but if u learn more about jpn u'll know by urself that jpn is the hardest language more than kor & chin if u compared with grammars & kanjis alphabets (chinese characters but there r 2 ways to pronounce "kunyomi" & "onyomi" also the meaning of some characters arent the same at all) for basically conversation in jpn u should remember & know kanjis around 100+ more (but trust me it'd be better if u know 2000+) for chinese listening & writing are hardest but grammar is easiest out of jpn & kor which grammars r really similar with each others. So for me altho im thai but i think thai language is hardest as always bcuz the pronunciation, writing, listening, grammars (honestly nowadays when i had thai tested i cant get the full scores compare with kor chin jpn😢)
As Thai people, the secret that makes you easy to learn Thai Language is you don’t need to remember all alphabets in Thai. Because , there are many alphabets that not use in daily life. It’s just for show in text book only. If you get it, you’ll get the easy way to learn Thai Language. And importantly, you don’t need to remember all grammar in Thai , bc in daily life the word, sentence, or the conversation is very flexible. Only you can make and understand Thai words, I think you can communicate with other Thai people for sure. Finally, I think Thai languages grammar is very easy it’s just “Subject + Verb +Object” If you know how to make the word = you can understand Thai conversation. I hope it’s useful for people who want to learn Thai Language. Don’t give up and remember “Thai is very easy if you understand it’s concept” ❤
*saw this in my recommendation* 2 reasons why I came here: 1.i want to go to Thailand and learn some of their words 2. *try to learn Thai so that I can watch bl series without English Subtitle* I thought it was easy but I'm sweating already lol
"ไมค์ใหม่ไหม้มั้ยไหม" if you write this sentence in English romanization, it is "Mai Mai Mai Mai Mai". And I can tell you every word here is pronounced totally different.
@@waar6561 I know it seems difficult at the start but trust me, those who came from our neighboring countries didn't take too long to learn to speak our language Sure, their accents aren't native, but are they understandable? Absolutely yes!

Yeah tones are tricky for English speakers. Korean doesnr even have them luckily. Only pitch accent intonation. Thai is about the same difficulty but the tones add a bit of trouble for us. I think korean is slightly easier but not by much
Anyone help me 😭 I'm in confusion!! Do Thai alphabet letters have there own name like in Korean ㄱ sounds like g but this letter's name is giyeok so do Thai letters have name or not !? Or just sounds like ก sounds like k but what's name of this letter? Is it's name ko !!?
@@Ai-yeh29 Yeah, it does have names. As she says in the video, the letters name consists of the sound the letters represent, and a word that consists the letter. So ก is Geogai. Hope, it made sense!
@@Ai-yeh29Yes it’s also like in English where you could say A for Apple but in English you can choose the object, you could say A for arrow or A for abacus or whatever, it wouldn’t matter. In Thai the description words stays the same. ก (gor-gai) will always be linked to chicken
It's not difficult, you have to fight because it's easy. It's not difficult at all. Thailand, my neighbors use it when learning English. We don't take long and we can talk and do it!! Keep fighting, I believe you can!!😊

I'm Thai, When we was a baby they have to sing a song about the words like ABC But when we grow up nobody can remember that song, If there is It's gonna be really surprise. 😂 Sorry I'm just 12yrs not goot at English
Speaking from personal experience, learning Hangeul alphabet is super easy and there's no complicated writing rules or tones in the languages. However, the grammar rules... I cannot say the same. Chinese's sentence structure is easy to understand but the tones might confuse people and the writing system not complicated but you just need to memorise a lot. Both Mandarin & Korean didn't scare me as much as Thai language now scares me even though I am interested in learning.
I've just started to be interested in Thai, and yes, it looks difficult. Phonetics is even harder than Korean and Chinese, and also they don't make spaces between words, almost like Japanese. Maybe Thai is easier than those three, when you reach a more advanced level, but the learning curve seems steep.
If you are even a bit off, the Thais will not even understand. it is a lot harder than this is made out to be by a long shot. Even if you can read, you HAVE to know the word in Thai to know the meaning the same as writing, so the learning order of speaking to reading is the issue depending on whether you want to learn the language OR REALLY learn the language. Either way, Thai is one of the hardest in the world-period. I can speak pretty darn good, write and read some too, but years of practice and being dedicated to it.
😂😂 The word with „ma“ (มา) could mean come, horse or dog but it’s another tone 😂 and you write it different. I always try to teach it my friends but they gave it up haha they said that they hear no difference
I've printed the worksheets last September but I just had the chance to start today, and I find it easy to understand with the way she explains it. The only confusing part is distinguishing an alphabet from the other because a lot are almost identical. But who cares? I will get used to it. P.S. I am learning Thai because I am planning to teach in Thailand in two years time :) Wish me luck!
Don’t give up… I’m about to drop video games on my free time just to learn Thai.. I’m pretty sure it will benefit us in the long run. Especially if you’re planning to live there.. Hopefully I can by the time I’m 40. 11years from now. God Willing 🙏🏻 I hate being in the city but unfortunately the job pays the bills. For now lol until I drop everything and dissapear lol because I’m going bonkers watching videos of Thailand and how friendly people are and how laid back tho gs can be 4real.
How many language you know? Me. Without learning -assamese -hindi -bangoli And recently learning English and Thai ☺ I love Thai language by my heart that's why I didn't get bored when I'm learning it .wish my hope become true 😌
The last two tones sound similar... This will be a fun journey. I can see myself talking about the weather but using the wrong tone and end up in jail for a confession of second-degree murder.
Listen a lot like a lot...watch movies with subs and pay attention...after a while you will notice the different tones. That's how I improved my chinese (HSK4)..though my speaking skill isn't that good...but, that is because I haven't practiced a lot.
I don’t know why, but I’m in love with thai. My native lenguaje is spanish, and we have similar sounds that doesn’t exist or are not commonly used in english like “ch” and “rr”. I love how it sounds, the Thai culture and everything! I hope I’ll visit Thailand one day
good luck on learning thai! im sure you will get there and you should defo visit thailand whenever u get the chance to its beautiful and i hope you will very much like it and it sure helps when u know thai as well
I don't like how it sounds (too complex for me), but I like how it looks written. As if it were some Elvish. But I like how Spanish sounds. Very clear and easy to pronounce.
@@KnightOfEternity13 Yeah Spanish is great as well but Thai doesnt actually sound bad when its spoken for me it sounds just like a really nice language and yeah its also really cool written too :) I find spanish is of course more easier as its all english letters still like similar to english if that makes sense :)

Don’t fool yourself - there’s nothing easy about learning Thai , if you are not gifted with linguistic traits . It’s a difficult language to learn an use . That’s the only simple fact you need to know . My child was adopted from Thailand … we go back and visit Thailand every year . I have only mastered the absolute basics In over 15 year’s . Love Thailand - love the people - best food on the planet , learning to speaking Thai is difficult . You can take that to the bank. Sorry but a Thai person telling me Thai is not as difficult as it seems 🤣😂 🤔is a little biased .
Well, I'm 16- felt like learning thai and now I am, I'm 3 days in and have 5 pages filled with notes already, I WILL LEARN THIS LANGUAGE NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES
NillyC it’s pretty useless. Might as well learn an international language like Spanish or at least Chinese. Devoting so much time to learn Thai is like learning to speak Somali or Cambodian or Ojibwe, can’t do shit with it.
With all the lakorns I've been watching, I thought learning Thai would be fun. But then, she says there are 44 consonants, 32 vowels, and 5 tones. I give up already.
Some of them are not actively in use nowadays though. They are omitted (casted out) from contemporary Thai and only be used in very rare special occasions. A lot of remaining consonants pronounce exactly the same 'cause even Thai people don't bother to distinguish those subtle pronunciation. So it has been heavily reduced. And for the tones, we still mess it up all the time. Figuring out the correct words across dialects is part of the fun and frustration when communicating in Thai (new born internet dialects included). It goes the same for short and long vowels, if you produce enough of the correct words, they can guess the rest.
im thai and i tell u this Forget ฃ and ฅ If u are not interested in learning it seriously or u just want to be able to communicate, forget it Dont mess ต and ฅ up though they produce different sounds
Thats nothing my friend.. Japanese has 3 scripts including kanji which is like 3000 characters just to be fluent. Then theres chinese which is also tonal and then has like 5000 characters to be fluent. Even korean is difficult when you start learning hanja to build vocabulary and distinguish homophones. Thai isnt that hard. For me its just pronunciation. Korean pronunciation is easiest. Japanese, chinese, thai, ect much much harder
Yanika Kongkaeo, bec Philippime writing system is like American. We use english alphabet letters, we add another letter right after a letter, but for Thai its hard for me to locate where should I put a vowel making me dizzy. 5555 but I love thailand, thai people, and their language!
Yanika Kongkaeo, im a student too! For speaking in english thats our sec language thats why were fluent to it, dont worry! Philippines is a safe place to go. Just like thailand its pretty hot in here 5555. I can help you in speaking in english. Just message me on instagram - kaede.dj
I am from the Philippines too. I love watching anime that is why I studied Japanese language. Now, I am addicted to Thai Series "The Gifted" . Due to wait of eng subs, I decided to learn Thai language so I can understand the series without the eng subs.
Yanika Kongkaeo we can teach others language? Ill teach you english and filipino, and you’ll do the same for me with thai.im planning a trip in Thailand on january
@@rexlapis3126 maybe you're used to Thai romance drama because you're native there but for the countries like us that doesn't have any LGBTQ+ dramas and movies, it's sort of refreshing and a genre that left us all in awe because we didn't expect that such theme will be aired on TV's and the morale of the Thai BL drama's like acceptance and respect can be found on it.

That's actually okay! It's very normal for foreigners to not able to pronounce it. But the meanings will change for example : pa pa pa pa pa ปา = throw(v) ป่า = forest ป้า = aunt ป๊า = father ป๋า = father But it's still understandable for Thai people even you can't pronounce it right! :)

Chinese Mandarin is harder because of the OVERWHELMING characters you need to memorize and remember each stroke that the Chinese has. Thai is easier, but it's mainly hard because of the writing and tones. Overall, Chinese Mandarin is harder and Thai is easier.
I agree. When I started learning Mandarin I was surprised by how quickly I progressed, and I wasn't at all intimidated by Pinyin (I had to drop my Mandarin studies for a while, unfortunately, but I'm picking them up again!) but had great fun with it. There is something about the Thai alphabet that is definitely intimidating at first glance, but I'm still having fun with it.
Thai is one of the hardest languages to learn. Ive lived in Thailand with numerous Thai lessons for 14 years and I cant still read nor write. The only sentence I can say fluently is "Hong naam yu nai khrap?"
Frankly from my opinion I find learning to read and write Chinese characters really easy, also Thailand was proclaimed to have the hardest writing system, good luck guys,I'm trying too.

Hi I’m Thai and learning Vietnamese. Actually Thai vowels are very similar to Vietnamese but Thai differentiates between short and long vowels in orthography. Vietnamese has only two pairs: “ă/a”and “â/ơ”. Others are written the same, short or long: e, ê i/y, ia, o, ô, ơ, u, ư, ua, ưa. Phonologically, both Thai and Vietnamese are very similar. Thais can pronounce all vowels in Vietnamese without difficulty: a = อา ă = อะ, อั- â = เออะ e = แอะ, แอ ê = เอะ, เอ i/y = อิ, อี ia/iê = เอียะ, เอีย o = เอาะ, ออ ô = โอะ, โอ ơ = เออ u = อุ, อู ư = อึ, อือ ua/uô = อัวะ, อัว ưa = เอือะ, เอือ
