Great work as always! Thanks for the showing the similarities of Blueprints and C++ that's a lot simpler then I imagined (at least so far; ). I assume there are some doc's for all the C++ commands? If I where to give any kind of feed back I would say it might be nice to see your workflow for finding the corresponding C++ command . I kinda wish unreal made the C++ command the same name or at least correspond to the blueprint node. Seriously though thanks for the walk through!!
Hey thanks as always for checking out the video. They have an API documentation but sometimes the functions don't match 1:1. I honestly do a lot of searching on the docs, looking at other courses/videos or googling to find out what I need. So I can show that part because it can get a bit trickier the further down the rabbit whole you go.
First part it’s using Unreal Engine 4, we learned how to install it and create a project, and now Unreal Engine 5, I am confused, why now it is UE5? Is not that on Beta?
I took the feedback from others who said they wanted UE5 instead of UE4. Everything from a coding standpoint translates 1:1 so it shouldn't have a big impact. You can actually build the prerelease version from source which has been updated since the EA. It's basically ready to go from the readme files but may have some minor fixes. Epic is actually already working on 5.1 which I have a copy of as well. I hope this works, let me know if it's too confusing. Every is the exact same because I actually recorded this 3x one of which was in UE4
