Dude thank you very much I watched your videos two years ago and I was off to the races you made it very easy to understand how to program DMX. I will send you some of my videos from beginning to where I am now you will not believe it thank you again for this video your videos they were a huge help.

Great video series I programmed 5 fixtures now onto chases etc One thing that caught me out was dmx addressing although each fixture only (led par cans) used 3 channels add 16 each time you add additional fixture when using a 12 channel board Lamp 1-DMX Address 1 Lamp2- DMX Address 17 Double the DMX Number And so on hope this make sense it worked for me.

HELP PLEASE.....just got a QTX DM-X10 which looks exactly the same as the one in this video and also 2 sets of KAM Power Bars but having massive difficulty in setting anything up.....any help would be appreciated. The Kam lights on this set do not have dip switches.

THANK YOU!!! I have 4 chauvet colosrtrip minis amd a X Laser caliente 300 and a chauvet obey 40 and just wondering if there is a way to just isolate the laser? I have been trying with no success

These videos have really helped me when all other forms of trying to understand DMX have failed. However, as I keep replaying this module, I cannot wrap my head around for programming button 1 as 13 (exceeding 12 fixtures), button 2 as 17, etc. How does the board know you are not wanting to reprogram 1 to a different light. Is there a page down button for the scanners side I'm missing?

this was a fantastic series of videos. I learned more watching these then reading every manual I had. I do have 1 issue. I have 5 fixtures connected... and the dmx terminator at the 5th fixture.. My problem is that all fixtures except the 5th are responding.. the last one with the terminator is not responding.. all 5 fixtures are the same model and type of par can.... do you have any advice about what the issue is and what i can do to fix it?

Very informative. I have two Mini Kintas on Channel 1 and I want to add 2 different lights. Do I put the new lights on Channel 2 or 17?

when do you have to use addresses for fixtures like 005 and 010 when the second fixture's address is supposed to be 017?

how do i program mini led spot light it has scanners and scenes on the board. i have two min spot lights do i put them both on scanner 1 or do i put them on separate scanners . i don't know how to make chases with it can you help me with it i just brought them. how do i make it work other than it just thrashing about aimlessly

HI THERE, is it possible to FADE UP SCENES? Say if I have set up a lot of different LED lights on quite a few channels and at the start of the gig I want to introduce somebody by just fading up all my lights on SCENE1 then after that fade out SCENE1. Thanx

At 5:36 why were your lights flickering instead of just staying solid?

hello dude , i have a problem , how i put 1 stairville par 56 on channel 1 and another par 56 on channel 2 ? i have on the back a Dip switch whit 8 switchers ... i put the switcher 1 - 5 - 6 on ON and it's work on channel 4 .. i don't understand . Please help me . Thank's dude !!!

HELP!!! LOL! Seriously, All I really need this my system to do is color washes. I have 2 - 4Bar fixtures and the Obey 10. The manuals suck! can you tell me in plain English what should my 4bars be addressed to? Why do the channel faders not work as you explained? fader 1 is all chases, 2 brightness, 3 flashing, 4-8 colors but only on one light of the four on the fixture.I need all 8 light to be the same color at the same time. any help? Hi, one thing i dont understand, you say this is a 512 channel board, for 12 fixtures, 16 channels per fixture. 12x16 adds up to 192 channels. What am i missing? Thanks mate and great tutorials.

in need of help!!! complete duffer when it comes to this. i have tried but failed on numerous occasions to programme the ligths using a chauvet obey 40 controller. all my lights have dip switches. the first light has 7 channels, the second14, then 6,then 14 then 7. they all have a number 10 dip switch which i know has to be 'on'. "help me Disco Dreams your my only hope"

on the moving heads have you done a program on them not seen anything

yes it is possible to isolate the laser on its own you would have to make a chase up with just the laser in and then switch to that chase when you just want the laser on and switch back to your chases with everything else included when you want the other lighting on hit me up on face book or skype if you need any more in depth help Andi Crampton or skype drcrippen324
