Just got my new Rotr Riot build. Skyliner mk3 with the DJI 03 Air unit. trying to find the right rates. This was a test flight and practice. hope you enjoy. #dji #fpv #fpvfreestyle #drone #rotorriot
When you fly. Do one trick over and over and over and over until you run out of batteries and then charge them again and keep doing it until it’s absolutely perfect. Then do this every day until you’re good
I also just got into freestyle last summer. Haven’t flown since winter started. Went out a couple times the past week. Had such a blast. Can’t wait to fly this spring and summer.
Great stuff. It's all about stick time, so just go out and practice though, looks like you already have a knack ! You can ditch the GP, the O3 has more than decent recording quality. Save weight - more flight time + more agile.
Dude yes! Loving the content and excited to see you progress!! Lemme know if youre in LA ever and want to fly some sick spots! Also just a little recommendation: force yourself to do a racetrack and then all the sudden youll feel like a god on the sticks!
good way to get better with freestyle fly with others and so people can push ya to do stuff you wouldnt do normally thats how i found to get better. Great video
If you haven’t figured out that GP7Black freezing yet. It’s caused by the shitty batteries. The only way I got rid of it is by putting on a fresh battery in the GoPro every time I put on a fresh pack. I finally destroyed my 7 Black crashing into a crane a few months ago and threw it in the trash. I was gonna buy the new 11 but they’re fat little piggies. I bought 3 Runcam Thumbs instead for the price of one 11 and haven’t looked back, losing 100grams of weight off my quads did wonders for my flying and battery life. Not as pretty videos but good enough for what I do as a recreational-only flyer.
Totally know how you feel, as do the most of us I'm sure. I'm far from "good" myself but have come to accept that and I just fly for fun and try not to crash. There are so many good people with great tips and advice in this community. Watch, listen and learn (I should heed my own advice 🤣) Basically I just wanna say go out there and have *FUN* . Best of luck in your quest! Liked, subbed and will enjoy following your progress .
@@jonhaze7537 tiny whoops are alright but crashing is still a factor. Liftoff is cool because you could get nonstop stick time with out the crash and fetch factor. Being honest both the sim and whoops are a great way to go.
Find what styles interest you. Watch videos of what those guys are doing and try to learn those tricks. For instance the Juicy style is a lot of fun because you can make it work around pretty much any environment. Learn the Juicy Flick. Then start doing it between trees. Make it look clean. Remember early on and make an effort to learn to do things both ways. If your tendency is to roll right practice rolling left. Yaw right a lot? Work on yawing left and make it look clean and level. Keep it up and I'm going to keep watching. I liked, subbed, and hit the bell so I want to see some progress.
Why you dont use the camera footage from the dji 03 unit? Its 10bit .Must be better than the gopro7 and you have a lighter build and also you dont get to worry about hitting the gopro.Keep going man!
I use the dvr from my 03 alot for flight video, yea you dont get the sound but its still good. I miss the 7 I had a couple years ago but I do have to say the 03 just may be as good if not better than the 7. Thy dynamic range for gopro is unmatched though. Nice video, keep going and yes, this stuff is expensive. Been at it around 5 years and have thousands in my drone equipment lol
@@andrewmedia3568 He inspired me into getting into FPV flying. I've yet to do freestyle kind of stuff since im starting off from dji but im saving up my money for an Eachine trashcan I think the drone is called and then I gotta connect it with my headset but all my drone stuff is back at my folks house i regret not taking it with me to college
Do drill packs.. go out and do packs practicing then same thing.. even better find a local racing club and go fly wit them… you learn not to fear the gear.. how to commit, how to fly low and fast… going racing is also really social. But it will make you a better pilot way faster than any thing Else you can do
Keep practicing forget the sim won't do anything for you fly the real thing until u get the hang of it you get to feel the weight and crash over and over and over🤙
@Dshot 8 was the best and 9 and 10 weren't bad. I don't even think the normal 11 is bad but the mini sucks. They do all do the freezing shit occasionally with age though
Drone Sim on PC for freestyle learning my friend. It will let you get really good within a few days time only costing a fraction of the money $20-30 unless you have a horrible pc. There are some good ones now days on the Unreal engine or steam. Also it's a shame I don't live near you. No offense but you desperately need someone to give you a run down on how to make, cut, edit, and pace modern content to get the reach and following you deserve mate. Best of luck. You want the hero 11 mini btw.
When something like that happens to your footage, chances are it’s probably not the go pro and it’s your card itself, I’d throw it away and get a new micro sd card I prefer Sandisk for go pros
Faster for me to learn how to fly if I buy a pre-built. Now that I have it I can buy parts and build one. I was still learning how to build, configure and tune. Now I’m confident I could easily build my own.
