Thank you for the wise insight and way of thinking, it really helps me realise the love of God when you said that to understand God's love is to follow the life of Jesus and what he did. I grew up without such love from my earthly father, I only know hatred and abuse which made me spiral into a deep depression throughout my life never really understanding what it really means to feel love since my perspective of love is distorted, I blocked it out due to trauma and i didn't know how to receive it, but I always knew Jesus displayed perfect love and I crave to feel it, thanks to your wisdom I can practice opening myself up and let God's love in so i can heal, truly heal, not just that but I get to actually experience what a father's love is suppose to feel like. I've never(or rarely) seen it in this way, I'm very grateful that my father is always here for me and us as His children. But idk why it's so hard to receive love freely, especially when someone compliments me? I'm like "what? no~ I'm ugly lol" "nah you're prettier than me" "ew" "wdym lol" "I'm a pig lel" like I try to be positive in my remarks, but inside I'm just like "what did I do? are they trying to pitty with me? are they trolling? was it a dare? how do you know I exist?" or something like that, like it's so easy for me to give love, since I want the person whom I am showing love to, to feel love especially if they need comfort(also since I'm such a mom in nature lol), but it's so hard to just accept love like I sometimes think "is there a catch?" "do you need something?" "why you being so nice?" Like I feel like when I accept the love, that I have this mentality that I'm selfish for feeling loved, or that I don't deserve it or that I'm being selfish for thinking what I was thinking that lead me to that thought a few seconds ago- But, hopefully, I pray, in this journey, I'll accept freely(and frankly to anyone who struggles too), that someone can love me unconditionally, that is my Abba Father, through Jesus Christ.

The problem with many Christians today is we are too busy trying to submit to God by submitting to the things love produces and not by submitting to love itself. We live from a constant state of “doing” in the name of love but we don’t realize that the things we do are actually supposed to be done in a response to Love. You cannot artificially create love. You can only receive it and be changed by it. Once you truly receive love the things you do as a result are truly obedient from the heart itself. We give things up and turn away things we see as wrong or unholy in the name of our Love for God but truly if we spent that same energy just believing we were already loved by God we would naturally give those same things up. Trying to give things up and be a certain way on our own power is no different than legalism and is what the pharisees would do. Don’t be a pharisee. Be a child who focuses his attention on believing the gospel and receiving love. That’s where the change is. That’s the easy yoke and light burden Jesus refers to. We must abide in Gods love for us and let God work thru us. If we live a life from our own power disconnected from the reality of Gods love for us we will always fail and our lives will become about “what we can do for God” and not about “what God can do and already did for us”. One lifestyle is at odds with the Gospel. And the other lifestyle sets us free. Matthew 11:28-30 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

I have so much trauma and anxiety in my body I am in physical pain and terrible ocd and anxiety I want God to be my Daddy. Had a bad experience at church recently and felt accused of just wanting feeling

I'm so glad I found your channel. I think my problem is fear of rejection.

I was recently diagnosed with Aspergers and because I have it I realize I have experienced rejection all of my life, it scares me to know that I will continue to experience this rejection because I feel it may have to do with feeling separate from God. I need to fell Gods love more than ever right now.

i have connected to Gods love and i believe her wants his love to dwell and spring forth in my heart and into my mind. however i feel uncomfortable by his love at times. it has a way of exposing you and leaving you bear.i question How i live cause it shades so much light. i have had a lot of hurt in the past and i dont think i ever learnt how to continuously receive love. if i ever did experience love it was once in a while and not with deep affections like God shows. so it makes me a little uneasy if i may say. i find myself rejecting it for these reasons i mentioned because my mind can not comprehend it. if i was ever loved in the past it is cause i did something to be love for but how do you understand God's love. He just loves. maybe i dont have to understand it but just experience and dwell in it. but this is hard to do for me? please help me move past it.
