Why is Loving Yourself so Challenging? 

Wow these teachings are really blessing me because God showed me a dream where I was picking up my sword & shield preparing for battle. I looked fierce because I had an important journey, but before I got on my way 3 women appeared smiling at me. They seemed very wise...like they knew me, but I didn't know them and they very politely said to me "this isn't the journey...the journey is self-love". I was so confused when I woke up...I had this dream last year. I thought to myself I don't have time to be tryna love myself I've got ppl to help. I can't focus on me. However with God bringing me to these teachings I totally get it now. The prophetic dream is now clear because I constantly struggle with depression and seeing all of my flaws, but I try to move on and focus on helping someone else...now I will pray and take time to allow God in so He can heal my heart. I got a very high compliment from a friend last week..I was so caught off guard by the level of compliment I didn't call her for 3 days. I know there's work for God to do in me...wow. I can't even take a compliment. I must learn to love myself.

This is so paramount, until I just don't know what to say. Why isn't there 1M followers and subscribers, I have no idea. Mark, thank you!

I Love this video. So much, what the church needs to hear; and I need to hear. Father led me to your videos on receiving His Love for it has been the cry of my heart for years. Thank you so much for all you are doing with this message! Just wanted to add to the list of things that we do to ourselves: self-blame and self-punishment. 2 of my biggest hindrances. Many blessings to you and your family! I wanted to add to this what I heard in my spirit while listening and pondering. I heard myself as a child when being asked what I wanted to be when I grew up and I answered: "I want to be a Love-Child." (Giving away my age, Lol. But for real Father showed me that He was Listening and He Loved that and that He put that desire in my heart. And I felt Him so gently Nudge me and say that is the answer to what you keep asking Me:"What is my purpose and destiny." Wow blown away.

My Lord!!!! This message was for me! I am going through exactly what you described here. Burnout is real! And when I brought the issue up at church, I felt more condemned than helped. It was all me! I needed to love me! Not look for their approval or affirmation... love myself as God loves me. Wow! This will make me look at my whole life differently, especially in regards to how I do ministry work. I was sooo burnt out! THANK YOU 🙏🏾

This is definitely easier said than done. I have serious scrupulocity ocd that keeps making me feel like I'm empty inside and the only way to feel whole and loved and accepted by God again is to follow what my ocd tells me to do. It's not a joke, but I believe this too can be healed. Just wondering why God himself isn't helping. So tired... Whoever sees this gimme a short prayer, thank you.

Thank you soo so much for sharing! A while back I was active in church volunteering where I could but still feeling off & like an extra in my own life movie. And the church I attended at the time told me that the cure for this was to pour more of myself out in service to others...needless to say, I’ve since moved my membership & lately God has been speaking to me through people like yourself & Matthew Stephenson to get rid of religion & allow Him to do a work on me in the area of self-love & self-esteem. I’ve been in church my entire life and was only ever told to just keep serving God no matter how I’m feeling on the inside. Im so grateful God kept me to this point and brought this info to me. Again, I can’t thank you enough for your ministry. I just bought Rejection Mindset, and after reading it I look forward to getting God Loves Me & I Love Myself. Awesome teaching! The Bible says that the truth will set us free. When we live by the lie that self love is selfish then we cannot even come close to freedom. Amen and Amen. Let the people of God get real! It’s uncomfortable to live like a machine always working and doing. Those are the things we value above human life so let’s at least tell the truth about it. We are uncomfortable with that lifestyle precisely because God loves us so much. He has to get our attention somehow to let us know we have it backwards. This is amazing and let’s keep this going together so that people may know the true love of the Lord!

I have finally made the connection to God’s love thanks to all your videos and your book God loves me and I love myself. 40 years on this journey!!! I discovered the enemy teaches we must be accepted by man first (which never happens because man is fickle) then when man accepts you then you can love yourself because you have mans approval (false validation) and then maybe because man accepts you and you barley accept yourself only then maybe God will accept you. What a crock! The enemy keeping us from a relationship with God, ourselves and others. Feeding us a counterfeit for as long as we accept his message. God is Love! Mark DeJesus, thank you for letting God love through you so much, and sharing the message of healing He has placed in your heart! I really enjoy your videos, and they speak to my heart so often! I am a Catholic, and definitely can see how many Christians can struggle with living a performance based Christianity. They give, but they do not how to receive! I believe you are a correct in pointing out how many people are burning out, because they struggle with loving themselves as God loves them. However, I would like to point out to you the scripture passage Matthew 27:26 of Jesus dying on the Cross, in response to your comment about Mother Teresa Syndrome. Jesus experienced the same feeling of abandonment as Mother Teresa did. This long state of feeling abandoned by God is called the Dark Night of the Soul. I would encourage you to read more about her life as well as the Dark Night of the Soul from St. John of the Cross. Many Christians who are on fire with the love of God experience this as they grow in union with Him. Here are some of the final stanzas of Mother Teresa's spiritual canticle, her response to her Lord and her dark night. These lines form a final prayer of self-oblation, an act of faith in which she makes herself a total gift - to share in Jesus' Passion and in his burning thirst for souls: "For my meditation I am using the Passion of Jesus. I am afraid I make no meditation, but only look at Jesus suffer and keep repeating, Let me share with you this pain! If my pain and suffering, my darkness and separation, give you a drop of consolation, my own Jesus, do with me as you wish. I am your own. Imprint on my soul and life the suffering of your heart. If my separation from you brings others to you . . . I am willing with all my heart to suffer all that I suffer. Your happiness is all that I want . . . I have begun to love my darkness, for I believe now that it is a part, a very small part, of Jesus' darkness and pain on the earth. Thank you Mark, a much needed word. I appreciate your enthusiasm in teaching how desperately we need to love our selves, and I agree. But my big dumb founded looming question which has me stupified into a frustrating burden is, HOW?? How? How do we accomplish this? Help. Please. Thank you.

God took my gifts from me, so I was a bit confused about the gifts not being taken, even if your heart is not right. I had allot of gifts that only operated by the Holy spirit and then I fell from Grace and lost my gifts. It was a drastic change for me.

What does love actually mean? What does it look like? This is a difficult concept for me to understand as I grew up in a very abusive household.

How do you have self love?

How do you recieve His love?

Totally isolated in relationships & from church. Thoughts are stuck in intimidation. How to get support & counseling without $ resources?

How do you stay in that love? There’s times when I received but to remain in that.

How can I love myself ,,if from childhood I m born disable

The last days - end times - end of the age was 70ad. That’s what all the New Testament writers believed and wrote - The insanity of end times propagaters is so ruinous and out of context.
