I'm enjoying reading books on how to write. I've read several really good ones, but of all the ones I've read, I enjoyed this one the most!
Anne Janzer's video: Well, this is embarrassing! I can't find the video with Anne Janzer that I spoke of in my video. I've looked through my history and searched every way to search. I've seen interviews with her, but I can't find a channel she puts out herself. Please forgive my slip-up!

I loved your take on Writing Down the Bones! I have read dozens of books on writing over the years - including the big ones: Stephen King's On Writing, Bradbury's Zen and the Art of Writing, Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird, Julia Cameron's morning pages strategy, etc. None of them hold a candle to the freedom and inspiration that Writing Down the Bones provides. I've read it dozens of times, her audiobook is excellent, and she followed it with other excellent writing books that I also still draw from: Old Friend From Far Away, Wild Mind, and The True Secret to Writing (plus others). None are better than Bones, but her generous spirit and ruthless pragmatism flow through all of them. I would love to see what you think of those! Thanks for posting about this book - time to pull it off my shelf :)

I will be doing more videos on writing books in the future. I've read some of those other books too and while I got something from each of them, I agree they aren't better (or sometimes as good) as Goldberg's. Thanks so much for watching and responding!

I love Writing Down the Bones! I first read that book back in the Nineties, when my best friend loaned me her copy because she was trying to convince me to write fiction. I picked it up again seven or eight years ago, and I love to go back to it when I feel stuck. And I've followed her advice to write every day (or mostly every day) for many years. I'm happy it's working for you! (Chocolate is the meaning of life.) I love the step where you go back and read what you've written--so many surprises! Something you thought was great might just feel lumpish, but an entry on a day you might not have been feeling it might just sing and astound you.

Writing down bones Natalie takes us on journey through art of writing. She begins by emphasizing importance of writing as practice, comparing it to discipline of zen meditation. She encourages us to write freely, without inhibition, to trust our own voice. I read too mr Natalie have on line writing workshop. She said dear writers I’ve taught writing practice over forty years to thousands of students, like feeling presence of bodies , bending over notebooks, sitting on mediation. Natalie Goldberg ( born in 1948) she is American author and speaker.she is best known for series of books , which explore writing as zen practice. I hope you like my synopsis. Best wishes for you your dearest ones .

How are you doing mrs Linda . Thank you for your wonderful cultural channel. I found out last few months beside book tubes channels. There are also educational channels British teachers such as is wear English, or American English guy by mr Brent . There are also channels about creative writing giving new writers instructions and tips for their debut novels . There are creative writing corner channel by mr Luke Morris he have master degree in creative writing and mr Luke Is full time author and editor his channel named wrestling with words . I wonder why people consider anyone who can’t finish his education because of circumstances as me and others less qualities than persons who get their degree from universities. I found RU-vid RU-vid channels as open universities for every one, google is library. Till nowadays parents send their children aboard as USA or Europe to study . We have great educational tools as RU-vid and all we need just notebooks and pen and mind to think properly. I looked up for author you mentioned and book theme briefly here it’s writing down bones means striving for essential, awaking speech of mind . Writing down bones by Natalie berg is guidebook for a spring writer . It’s offers practical advice , personal anecdotes, writing unleash creativity overcome fear of putting pen to paper.
