How can you have a valid point about LeBron being the GOAT when this is the first time you've seen Jordan highlights? That's like saying "Coke is way better than Pepsi, oh....by the way I've never had coke"
@@jdub6338 Basically Saying He’s Right. I Can’t Have A Valid Opinion On It When I Know Nothing About The Other. So I Was Answering Him By Saying I Was Ignorant in My View.
@@legaciitv9629 I saw MJ play and he's my favorite player all time. I'm not saying he's the goat because I don't believe such a thing exists. But I can appreciate Lebron's greatness and he's also one of my favorite players all time. I don't think one is better than the other, just different. It depends on which style of basketball you prefer. I appreciate your humbleness in being willing to appreciate other players greatness. That is refreshing.
As a 40 year old man i watched him as a kid. Everyone had bulls hats, starter pullovers, jordans. Forget it, you will never wittness greatness on this level again.
I’m 45 and remember watching all these legends play and going at it. LeBron couldn’t have even played in this era. He would be in a body cast at the end of every game on account of how those guys beat the living hell out of each other back in those days. In my opinion I don’t think LeBron is the GOAT at his position even. I would give GOAT status at Small Forward to one Larry Joe Bird.
@@dustinfranklin2169 ppl that say lebron could be compared to michael Jordan just weren't around to watch him play. Can't compare them 2 on any level. If you lived through the jordan era you know.
@@dustinfranklin2169 Exactly... It was just a more physical game then. And to do what Jordan and other great players did during that era was magical. You had to really be fouled then for it to be called. I understand the logic behind making the game a lot softer and easier to score/get points (inflated point system). But, it's boring now when you've grown up watching the Jordan era.
@@ssherrierable niggas act like Lebron isn’t a 6”9 freight train. He still would have dominated in any era. That’s just like saying Jordan couldn’t play now . Both of them would have adjusted there greatness to excel
If you just look at this, notice that almost EVERY DAMN PLAY he was covered and just running through the entire team. He knew how to get past one guy then the next and then the next so fucking easily. And then if you were the last man to beat, you’re getting dunked on. Makes no sense
Buzzer beaters in throw away regular season games.. how many has Bron hit or missed when it actually meant a ship or keeping his team alive in the playoffs
Watching Michael Jordan was like watching someone that wasn't a human being. You were in absolute awe of this man. No player has ever blown your mind like Michael Jordan
I was a white kid in an all white school and every single kid in that school idolized Jordan. Not a single one of us cared about basketball until Jordan. He was truly just on a level you had to see to believe.
I live in a country where basketball is not a favorite sport, NBA is not televised, but every single kid at my school, knows Jordan and not any other player
Up until the 1980s, foreign countries heard "Chicago", think "Bang! Bang!" By the end of the 90s, they heard Chicago, think "Michael Jordan". That is what Jordan did for basketball and for Chicago.
“I never knew he had this many blocks” Sports analyst said one year that MJ is a scorer and can’t play D. The very next season MJ wins Defensive Player of the Year.
Sounds a lot like Wilt doesn't it, win the Scoring Race AGAIN, hears he is not a passer, so the next year he leads the NBA in Assists. As a Center. Hmmmm.
He was the first player to get 100 blocks & 300 steals in a season & did it twice, unless someone has done it recently only two other players have done it, Pippen & Hakeem Olajuwon
Every game as a kid you’d watch it and there would be something Jordan did that just blew your mind. Every game was a treat to watch. He was something else. He truly was
as a Celtics fan growing up in the 90's ........ I still have nightmares of that crazy hangtime. Dude was just unreal....I became a fan after just the second chip.....There aint no one else LIKE HIM. He's HIM
Yup. Lebron an all time great but his game doesn’t look as smooth. Like the jump shot, the fade aways, the drives and finishes. Lebrons always just been more brute force with his stature, MJ was more finesse and wizardry - more appealing as a spectator.
@Steez to be fair lebron is a much bigger athlete. He was never going to "look" like Jordan. Doesn't mean that LeBron wasn't just as unstoppable. They just have 2 different styles
30 seconds in, "I feel sick to my stomach" had me dying. Nothing against Lebron, he's a generational talent, but there has only been one Michael Jordan. Jordan was so smooth, so efficient, no wasted movement of steps, absolute perfection as a basketball player. He's likely the greatest athlete of any generation of basketball players as well.
@@jeremyswann2228 He's not self proclaimed many believe it. Also of course there's only one Jordan there's only one Lebron too. Both were leagues better than everyone in their era Jordan is the GOAT though.
Ppl who say that are just regurgitating bs they've heard. MJ🐐 avgd 5 asts and 6 rebs per game for his career. As a SG...who's primary job IS to score. To go along w/his 30.1 ppg (STILL highest all time).
Can't imagine who'd say that. He was all-defensive first team nine times and won defensive player of the year in 87. Add to that you had Rodman who was all-defensive first team seven times and won defensive player of the year twice. Pippen was all-defensive first team ten times and defensive player of the year I believe once. Thrust is, Jordan was the leader of a scary scoring and shut down team. People like to say things in support of their own biases I suppose.
Also the man played in a game with the flu if I remember right. Scottie Pippen had to help MJ walk off the floor. Don't remember any other nba players willing to play illl.
Too many of them seem to think handles are a new thing instead of being around since the 80s. Sure they weren't as common then, but some players still had them. It's just grown more and more ever since. No player in the NBA today is doing anything with the ball that I haven't seen since I was a teenager in the mid to late 90s.
The true fact is Jordan played against statues in his days! Alonzo Mourning, Patrick Ewing, bill Lambier Karl Malone Larry Johnson and Charles Barkley and don’t forget about Charles Oakley! We will never see basketball as I did growing up! Today’s game is soft, just like the NFL!
I am from Chicago, and when Michael Jordan retired first time, it broke my heart when he came back I got goosebumps and felt like a five year old on Christmas
In A Era where defense was played with toughness. No load management....no flopping.....no crying ...just a killer will and the ultimate assassin. His name is Michael Jordan. His Airness......the GOAT.
@@dracarti_13 point you dont get is that the defense was hell of a lot more tuff and jordan made them look weak. lebron does not like real defense on him. for and example: go look at the time when lebron was pissed at the fact that kawhi leonard was checking in to the game. also if you watch his games he can play against double teams, he most of the time passes cause the cant break the double team down. plus he's dunking on much smaller players at the rim (if there are any at the rim these days} when jordan and them were dunking on 7 footers who were great defenders.
@@antispaz7 easy to be the leading scorer when Scottie is defending the best player and rodman is rebounding and protecting the paint! Don’t forget hot ace grant tony kukoc and the best shooter in the league Steve Kerr. All mj had to do was go drop 28 points and the bulls would win, pretty much every all star averages 28 today…
I've watched both, and I respect Lebron for his raw abilities. He's done some great things for basketball, and I've watched him hit some clutch shots, in big games. But, tbh, Jordan was that EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to have watched so many of the Bulls games, in the 90's via satellite tv. You had to have watched Jordan play an entire game to feel the magnitude of his presence on the court. It was unmatched. As good as this compilation video was, watching him play an entire game does more justice, to MJ. And, then to understand, he did that every single game. He was like watching a comic book super hero come to life. Just unreal.
Very true that watching a complete game gives a different perspective. The way he ran the team, moved up and down the court.. offense, defense. Even to follow him through a whole season and going through the playoffs to a championship
Great comment highlights are fun but watching Jordan in whole games during the dynasty. He was a cheat code in the first three peat. The battle worn but still on top master in the second three peat xxx
Also MJ played every second of every game with a relentless energy that cannot be matched. I was a huge Pistons fan but had mad respect and admiration for Jordan. Best ever
Yeah this is the thing. One: they don't realise he won DPOTY, on top of all the scoring records and MVPs and wins. Two, I saw a video that showed his clutch stats: his shooting % was *identical* under time pressure to what it was during the game, at around 50%. Lebron's plummets to something like 25% when his team needs a winner. Never has and never will be anyone quite like Jordan.
I lost count of how many 7-footers he dunked on. A 6'6" guard playing in the air above giants. Then add his vision, mid-range shooting, spacial awareness, defense, resiliency, passing, strength, speed, low-post game, instinct and assassin mentality... and you easily get the greatest basketball player of all time, hands down.
i saw last weekend the 10 part doku "the last dance"... there you can see all about jordon, pippen, bulls, jackson and co from the beginning till the end... really nice and not only a few dunks and passes...
Phil Jackson said that MJ's hands were the biggest difference between him and Kobe. Michael could catch the ball with one hand and make a fake without using his other hand, that gives him an advantage over the vast majority of his opponents. Over the years I have seen loads of ultra athletic players come along that were compared to MJ but none could truly walk in his shoes and that includes Kobe. MJ had the closest thing to a perfect all-around game, he had no weakness in his game.
That and his athletic ability… The ability to jump off one foot and the ability to jump off both feet even higher just gave him an advantage over everyone. Lebron go go off of one foot pretty good but off 2 feet not even close to Jordan
To further prove his greatness...he never had to toot his own horn... Never once called himself the goat... didn't need to utter such words, his play spoke for his greatness...#23MJ
Thats exactly right Jordan did all his talking on the Court!!! Didn't have to label himself it was just natural to him , he was a man among boys !!!! Nobody will ever be like Jordan again!!!!
Not only was MJ the most complete player to ever play the game he looked damn cool doing it. The shaved head, the long shorts, and those legendary shoes were part of the whole package. There will never be another Jordan.
I found out Jordan reached out to* Champion , who manufactured the thigh high shorts at the time, to ask if they can make his shorts longer bc when he would be catching his* breath hed lean forward and try to grip the edge of his shorts for support and the short ones made it difficult to do that, so he helped make the longer shorts popular in* the NBA
It’s cute to see you kids today discover what we lived through during the “Jordan Era.” It’s even cuter to hear y’all talk about anyone being better than Jordan.

But if were gonna go with your comment, The bulls went to the eastern conference finals WITHOUT jordan. Thats how good his team was without him. In 2018, Lebron took the worst squad in nba history to the finals. In 2019, when lebron left, the cavs had the worst record. That tells you Lebron is the Floor-General GOAT. Meaning....There 2 completely differenty players. And if you dont understand what i just said, then idk what to tell you....
@collinloretitsch4731 Team player goat is the team that dominates. Thats MJ too and Magic was the player who made everyone better more than anyone. His triple double stats in the playoffs is unmatched. Greatest offensive team ever considering era.
MJ is the perfect example of taking chances in life. You don’t know how great you can be until you put your heart and soul into something. This man did, EVERY TIME he stepped on the court!
Some day someone will be better, that person may even be alive today. They're not in the league yet though I don't think. It's seems like it's only younger people that think LeBron is GOAT, they were not around to see MJ do his thing. When MJ was doing his there was zero doubt who was going to win, with Bron there's very serious doubt even if he puts himself on a stacked team. MJ #1, Kobe#2, then there's debate. IMO
Wouldn’t call it a rip off! The commercials didn’t lie! Everyone wanted to be like Mike. So yea I’m sure Kobe was a little bit of a Jordan fan. He prob even emulated his style as a kid! Well that then prob carried into his adult career. So yea would say it shows more of how big Jordan was than anything. But he’s not the only one who did it! He just came the closest to looking like him. But there were a bunch of players around Kobe’s age that tried to rip off Jordan’s style. That’s how good Jordan was, you couldn’t tell they were trying to be like Mike.
A LOT of younger dudes think that guys my age "exaggerate" MJ's talent, playing, and what it was like watching him.. I think this reaction was perfect.
Growing up I would try to watch every MJ game i could and I don't even like basketball. Watching him was different though. It was like watching a master artist at work. It was like watching Bruce Lee. MJ wasn't human. Shit when the announcers started using the term "flight path" like he was a plane, I knew.....
Jordan left everyone who watched him play in awe. Growing up I couldn’t wait for his games to come on. His skill and Talent to me still to this day is unmatched. A true VIP class act. And you didn’t want to say anything to him on the court cause he would turn on whatever switch he forgot to turn on at the beginning of the game and it was lights out.
"I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." MJ
Great commercial. MJ is unquestionably the greatest of ALL time. All other comparisons are for the #2 spot, PERIOD. Anyone who says different did not see this man play in real time over his career or has forgotten and has been so thirsty for greatness that they have now crowned a FALSE "king". In todays NBA Jordan in his prime would be putting up 40-60 points REGULARLY, facts. I know it's a hard pill for Lebron fans but Jordan has NO quit in him, Lebron's got plenty. The question isn't Jordan or Lebron. The more appropriate question is Jordan or Ali or Pele or Brady or Babe Ruth. Respectfully the answer is still Michael Jordan.
@@HogEnjoyer he toke many years off to go after a passion he promised his father he would do then became and owner with wizards and played to help a young team learn from his experience so yes he toke years off but he had actually reasons to he didn't need 18 seasons for greatness he only needed 11
His talent was immeasurable, but his competitive drive was the best. Just listen to the best players and coaches speak of him. They were in awe and gave him the ultimate respect.
I think the greatest athlete of all time definitely goes to Wilt Chamberlain. 7 feet tall. 50 inch vertical. Yea, you read that right. Champion in every single track and long jump category etc. He was the single most freakish athlete of all time.
What gets me about MJ always is he was built like most NBA players. He wasn’t the tallest, or the strongest, but when he took the floor he was unmatched skills wise by anyone. When I see guys like him and Kobe who looked like just about every other NBA player body and size wise but their elegance to the game and flare they brought. Unmatched. The sheer will and work ethic to be the greatest is what makes them legends forever. I’m 38 so I got see MJ prime, Kobe prime, Lebron prime. IMO it’s MJ all day not even close 🐐. Lebron is 6’8 280lbs. With freakish ability he should be dominating the way he does but guys like MJ and Kobe had that instinct that can’t be taught that’s what separates them. Watching these videos brings back memories I even forgot. I’m blessed to have seen MJ play.
In sports now and again you see athletes appear who are almost freaks of nature and Jordan was one of those exceptional talents. He is up there with Pele in Soccer, Schumacher in F1, Serena in Tennis, Bolt in sprinting. People who took their sports to the next level.
These kids have no idea how good M.J was i still have not seen a more dominate player then jordan he made me like basketball growing up he is truly the g.o.a.t in the history of sport.
He could make good pro teams look like high schoolers when he turned it on. Underrated passer. Complete game offense and defense. Nobody could stop him. Lebron is a freight train coming down the lane but Jordan’s finesse is unparalleled in my opinion.
@NolanEP If MJ was playing in this era 50+ a night he lived in the freaking lane would be driving to the basket so freaking often that even Curry firing 3's every time on the other end would not be enough when Jordan is slamming it home.
The only Thing Lebron has on Jordan was.....Lebron Always had 3 or more All stars he played with....1st time pippin became An All star it was over and he was Drafted

Those of us who got to see MJ play know how dominant he was in a league full of great centers, he played above them all. Lebron is nothing but a big man who muscles his way into the basket.
MJ's mental toughness was unbeatable. How can you beat someone who's already made up his mind that he's going to destroy you and your entire team, and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it? Unlike LeBron, MJ didn't need to talk loud or talk big. His skills on the court did the talking for him.
He did talk loud and big on the court! Are u crazy MJ was a prolific shi t talker! And it was awesome! Just ask the guys he played against! So stop with O Mike was so humble bullshi t! He was not!
If I recall all the Videos abs interviews, he was a big trash talker. But everybody knew: do not talk trash to MJ. This will just help him to bring his game to the best level
I’m getting tired of mfs talking bout his “mental toughness” bro I was on the football team with this same mind set every single game. I bet money Lebron comes into every game feeling like he can drop 30+ and drop off every team cause he’s Lebron. Y’all sound just like Skip Bayless. Yes Jordan was absolutely amazing, Top 2 of All Time. But man, so of the things y’all say about this man is blasphemy.
I’ve never heard Lebron James “talk loud” Ever. This man comes to play every time he’s able 😂 He literally was terrorizing teams in ever way from 2003-2020 😂😂
@@ROLLUP424 you sound stupid, and young. Lebron's mentality on the court is nowhere near MJ. There is a reason MJ never lost in the finals. He DECIDED he will not lose, and never did. Don't co fuse confidence with killer instinct. MJ was a straight killer with no remorse on the court. That's what they mean when they talk about his mentality. Only player to come close to that is Kobe.
Jordan is the perfect example of what is possible when you are absolutely obsessed with what you’re passionate about. He was maniacally determined to be the GOAT.
No it's a beautiful thing. It blows me away that this younger generation doesn't understand what this man was made of and what he did. Bron isn't even close to what MJ was.
No. Michael was the goat in every aspect of the game, very few were able to at least compete in certain skills, but when he got personal he just swept the floor.
If it is then I don't want to be good....he needs to tak that poster down while the man is on screen. Ain't in the same league, the same ballpark, ain't even the same fucking sport. Air Fucking Jordan, these kids need to recognize.
The dude averaged 30+ ppg for his career in an era when scoring 20 ppg made you a star. His percentages from inside the arc were otherworldly for a guard. For a more modern perspective, Michael is like if you take Kobe, and make him 15-20% better stats-wise and with more winning intangibles. LeBron is good, but I think there's a pretty decent gap between him and Michael.
It’s not just Jordans game that makes him the greatest ever. It’s his whole attitude, the way he carried himself, his character in general. I’m glad I was lucky enough to grow up in an era with him as a role model.

Jordan came in as a rookie and said he had to work to be great. Lebron came in as a rookie with "The King" and "Chosen One" tats. Before the NBA Jordan had a coach that taught him that greatness requires work and the effort you put into that work. Before the NBA lebron had sponsors and handlers telling him he was the best ever before he even had stats in the NBA history books. But at least lebron got to play with his step dad early in his career
@@phatymcdaddy TBF the media Mainly did it .. and good for him for getting 2 where he has ... Like I said above .. the Fear the Defense the Clutch .. Making the most out of his moments are all what makes that Shadow so large .. Lebron has not filled that shadow but he is at least in the convo ..
One of the things that always amazes me about Jordan is that he won DEFENSIVE player of the year...in the same year he averaged 35+ PPG and MVP. He wasn't just an offensive juggernaut, his defense was also on another level.
He was only one of few guards to win DPOY....he never stopped playing both ends even with the Wizards, and he was having fluid drained from his knee in the Wizard years
And let's not forget, it got to the point where the league had to snub Jordan on various awards where he had better numbers than whoever won the award, because if the league didn't do that, then nobody else would have gotten fed much of anything. Jordan's D in statistical terms, was actually even better than his offense and the level he played offense at is the all-time best. Only Kobe can come even close to Jordan's all around offensive game (including being clutch and having the mental toughness not to flop and be a crybaby who skips games over minor injuries), and that's because Kobe modeled a lot of his game after Jordan, and Jordan mentored him on the mental aspects of the game.
I don't even care about the going different teams I got a problem with going to a team and have them trade the whole team to get stars to play with is weak if mj played for different teams MJ would still be the goat
Well, first of all I believe MJ is the goat for a lot of reasons, but let’s remember what teammates he had in both three peats… I mean it was a super team and Lakers n detroit were old as the Celtics too… perfect timing for MJ
Watching this gave me chills. How easy is it to forget what that level of greatness really looked like. Seeing these young guys shoot out the gym is awesome, but watching MJ pump fake, drive, double clutch, and then reverse layup between multiple defenders. That shit hit different. MJ 🐐
This man DOMINATED the league. No team or individual star players were able to obtain a championship during MR 23’s prime run! I was fortunate enough to get to watch Jordan play, while in his prime. As an old school Heat fan, it was brutal to watch my Heat get slapped up by the Bulls, because of JORDAN. Pat Riley even retired Jordan’s number out of respect for his dominance. When JORDAN retired, all of the major networks broadcasted his retirement simultaneously live. Jordan was MICHAEL JACKSON status, in his prime!
The problem is that these kids grew up in the internet era...30 second clips truly don't explain the greatness of MJ. I'm 50 plus, literally watch every game he's ever played. WGN Chicago tv station on cable, when there wasn't 500 bullshit channels, had every Bulls game on, and then every Sunday ABC or NBC game featured the Bulls. TNT, etc..if you watched this man play the game, not just highlights, no body touching him. I give Kobe the nod over LeBron as far as skillset goes. Can't take anything away from LBJ but Kobe career cut short by injury last couple years. I always say, best players I've ever seen skill wise is MJ and Kobe! The era of physicality alone i give to MJ and Kobe. Lebron's IQ and Longevity can't be denied but no way he touches these guys..but again, just my opinion. Curry considered the best Shooter ever, will never be considered the best player ever. Feats don't tell the whole story or we'd have Westbrook as the man..4 yrs average trip dubs!!! Still, not the best to ever do it.

@@rcdoubleu i actually used to the words "in my opinion" in my statement, that's a preference of whom I think is the best skilled player I've ever seen. You're right MJ didn't have to run and score 30 every night ..but he did! MJ didn't have to rim protect ( i can only assume you're referring to LBJ rundown blocks)..but he did, check highlights of those also. Your right MJ didn't play 18 straight..just dominated as scoring champ and all defensive basically his whole career which i dont know, a father's murder came into play, only to comeback and say it with me, win how many chips!?! And again, in my opinion, at the NBA level, coaches are just Ego baby sitters and situational X and O guys. And LeBron defended which Centers and when on a nightly basis??? Stop it! My whole statement acknowledged everyones attributes. I even preferenced Lebron's longevity and stats, again qualifying his over achievements, but the overall skillset and mindset to win doesn't compare to MJ. Hell, there's even a playoff game where Mark Jackson literally says Lebron's giving up, he doesn't think they can win this game after basically throwing up a bs 3pointer with time on the game clock to legitimately get into the game..the not so funny thing was, 3 seconds before he said it, i thought it to myself. You've stated a couple true statements, we thought we'd never see another Magic Johnson and we still haven't, Ben Simmons, please! Just being Tall and can dribble doesn't make you Magic! Ask the 76er staff and you're right again by not saying Lebron's better than MJ. You can't be equal and better, it's either or! Oh yeah, i also watched a 39/40 yr old Jordan bust young guys asses in the league as well. Bias, i don't think so, again, at 52 yrs old, having watched both careers, literally every game of each man, yeah..i most definitely think one is the best "I've ever witnessed"!
What's really crazy is that he did this throughout his entire career. Game to game every day all day. It's to much for the senses. And, it was so unreal even back then. The crazy thing is he would be able to do it even in today's world. If it was him back then. Nobody would still not be able to. Nobody. His Entire career bro! He didn't ever slow down! Just Goated it all the way through. And he could have continued but I think he respectfully retired early for family reasons. Such a humble guy yet such a beast. It's other worldy if you ask me, his abilities.
Jordan is peak basketball. He was the ultimate competitor. He hated losing. He never took any possessions off. Every second on the court, his goal was to humiliate his opponent. He could do everything at an elite level. Everything he did was so smooth and fluid: every dribble, every drive, every dunk, every layup, every shot. It’s beautiful to watch. Kobe had that same fluidity. He imitated Jordan’s game and was a competitor just like him. But he wasn’t quite the same. No disrespect to Kobe or to Lebron and their greatness, But Jordan is the best ever.
You called that playing defense? The weren't playing defense, they were playing Butchers! The Bad Boy Pistons was a temple of slaughter! And I loved every minute of it! Those games back than, those were the days
I love when people say lebron's better by bringing up his assists and rebounds and say Jordan couldn't do that. But they never realized he could if he wanted. In 88-89 when the Bulls needed Jordan to play PG for 41 games he averaged 32.2 pts, 9.4 ast, 8.3 Reb. He also had a 11 game stretch in there where he had 10 triple doubles. He could have made his stats be fancier like that if he wanted, but he wanted to win. He knew his bread and butter as a team mate was his scoring and defence.
It gladdens me to see you react to this and give Jordan his credit while still giving lebron his credit because people need to learn to appreciate and accept greatness while we have it
You’re not wrong. I think the answer is obvious and this video shows that, but I can still watch and appreciate Lebron. The debate over the years has led me to that, definitely evolved to come to that conclusion. Just appreciate it, especially if you got to witness it. Be thankful you did. I got to see MJ, Kobe, and Lebron’s entire careers. How lucky am I??
It was pretty close to godlike. Have ya seen those games or even the highlights? I mean yes they lost the series but mj tried to single handedly beat a team of hall of Famer and came pretty close🤯
I feel honored to have watched him play, not only in his prime, but with the wizards. People trash his wizards time, but he played all 82 with the wizards at age 40.
@Andre Davis For anyone in his position no matter what age. If your not averaging at least 20 points a game, your not going to survive in the NBA. 20 points a game is still good and he was still pulling off 40 point games some games too. For his age he was average and he really only wanted to join the wizards to help promote the team. He played the entire season for free.
Now watch LeFlop highlights side by side to Air Jordan. Lebrenda be spending all the time on his back because a 5 foot nothing grazed him, while His Royal Airness is posterizing anyone that gets in his way
It's not just about what Jordan accomplished, it's also how he accomplished it....... by domination! When LeBron gets the ball, he's looking for the best option. When Jordan gets the ball, he is the best option.
@@seboo5947 no it doesn't. The object in basketball is to score more points than your opponent. The best option is the player who scores. LeBron not the best option, he's just great at finding that best option.
@@SDD0607 in how many games. It's SIGNIFICANTLY easier to play longer in today's league than when Jordan played. There's no such thing as the LeBron Rules. Micheal Jordan played in a much more physical era...... and still has the highest scoring average OF ALL TIME. You know all the other stats, but I'll leave you with this one. Even though he played in a significantly more physical era, outside of his one major injury season.......Micheal Jordan only missed 7 games......7 GAMES.
I literally tear up when I see his highlights. He made my childhood so incredible. No matter what, I could always watch my Hero and he never let me down. I’ll never see anything like him again. Bron ain’t even close. It’s an insult to the game and Jordan to compare the two of them. Jordan is in the Babe Ruth, Ali, conversation. Not the Lebron conversation.
And honestly I put Kobe above BronBron. LeBron has SERIOUS flaws in his game, namely he can’t shoot for shit beyond three feet and some years he doesn’t even bother to play defense. Great players never give up. Jordan, Kobe, Bird, Stockton; these guys NEVER gave up.
@@eeik5150 this has been my biggest issue with LeBron. I've seen him quit on games. In terms of skills... that's something you can work on in the gym. But the mindset is what sets Mike apart from him. Kobe is a close second to Mike imo. Not LeBron.
For you young kids out there, Jordan had: Kyrie's handles Steph's layups Vince Carter's dunks Kobe's fadeaways Dame's clutch gene LeBron's athleticism Giannis's defense All in one person. The GOAT.
I’m a 52 years old guy. And, take it from me. Jordan was a beast-No-for real! This guy dunked on everyone no matter how tall you were. He came from the top of the key. That’s what you all need to see. Because, I don’t think that you all know exactly how much hang time MJ has. And, he elevates like a fucking bald Eagle. That’s what I use to call him. But, anyway, he’s one of a kind-in a class all by himself. No one comes even close to him in performance nor athleticism. No one!
So enjoyed the clips and your reaction. Watching your emotional journey was quite entertaining. And I respect you turning off the tape rather than have to lie.
I love when I see Young bucks getting a real introduction to Jordan. It isn't about stats or championships, Jordan was flat out the most electrifying acrobatic player in NBA history. He is the goat because there's nobody that could do what he did. Not only was he a phenomenal scoring machine, he was also a dynamic defender. It's like the ball was literally magnetic and drawn to him. I believe wholeheartedly that he would destroy today's lazy NBA.
Watching this brings back so many memories of my childhood and teenage years. Sitting in the living room on a Sunday watching nba on nbc with my best friends. Then afterwards being so pumped up from watching. Then head out to the park or playground court and play until the lights came on and the court closed. His moves were so fluid and smooth. He had complete control of the ball and his body while in the air or on the court. There have been few that played even close to him. If he would've came straight outta highschool and never retired his numbers would be way up there too. Not a knock on LeBron because he is one of the few greats to play the game like he does. But Jordan's game will never be duplicated. He was a all-time great defender too. Watching highlights of him going up over big men and pulling their shot straight out of the air with two hands is awesome to watch. The 80s and 90s were the best years of the NBA to me.
@@johndeery9738 if he came straight out of high school, didnt retire because his father died, didnt leave the bulls to retire again then join the Wizards, didn't have that foot injury early on in his career, if he had todays strength and conditioning technology, if he didn't have to deal with hand checking or the overall physicality back then, if he didn't eat steak pizza and smoke cigars all the time and drink tequila and champagne, if he had the ability to team up with other greats to form a super team, if he played in this era where 3s are encouraged and had a chance to practice and get better at them in the game... I can go on but he's already the Goat and he had all of this against him. It's literally frightening to even think of the possibilities. I even saw the end of his Chicago days and I forgot just how nasty he was. I feel sorry for anybody who thinks LeBron is thr Goat. They are just pure ignorant!
When damn near every home teams crowd he played in front of on the road was cheering for him, that's some Goat stuff. I was lucky enough to see him play and witness the greatness in person. Dude was a straight killer
Sucks for me cause I was alive at the time, but too young to understand what was going on lol. I can only vividly remember Jordan from 96-98 and his wizard years and still consider him the goat
27 here . got to see him play against the Mavericks when he was with the wizards in his comeback season stadium was still packed .wasn’t in his prime but he still cooked dudes with the jab pump fake fadeaway shots . Didn’t even need a RU-vid to see highlights of his greatness . Grew up watching them on espn idk wtf these other mfs was doing Hate my generation
I've watched both of these player's careers, and for me it's MJ all day long. Don't get me wrong, Lebron is one of the best to have ever played, but MJ was transcendent. When Michael Jordan was on the court, you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was simply better than any other player. It didn't matter who he was facing, or if it was game 26 of the regular season or game 7 in a playoff series, Michael Jordan was the man every night, never took it easy in a single game. For those that weren't around to watch MJ, the only player since that had anything close to MJ's constant intensity on a nightly basis was Kobe Bryant.
I am 43 years of age, and have watched both of them play. Jordan was always set up with a complete team back in the day. Lebron was and is still a monster at an old age. Stop it people!!!
Dude, there's nothing wrong with having a favourite player for the time that you grew up watching the game... but when you've watched MJ play... nobody has ever came close to him other than Kobe and he was a distant 2nd... MJ was simply majestic. You can't compare Lebron to MJ because Lebron can't play like MJ... like not remotely close.
I'll say Prime Wade And Kobe are the only 2 players that reminded me of Jordan with their skillset I'm not saying that they are Micheal Jordan but they're playing style were alot similar of Jordan
@@deetheoriginal3117 I can agree to that. In all of this, I am not saying that Lebron is a trash player, but the way he plays has more to do with stat padding IMO. The guy needs to stay relevant in some way, so instead of chasing peak greatness, which is MJ, he's chasing longevity stats. He chased rings by running to other teams. Making it to 10 finals is impressive if you look at it with no context, but he did play 20 years in an era with barely any defense and in the weaker eastern conference. Being elite when other elites are your opponants is different than being elite against not so elite players. Lebron had 1 moment of greatness when the Cavs beat the Warriors down 3-0 in the series, but that's about it. MJ and the Bulls lost to dynasties... individually, MJ was not the reason why they lost... He then worked harder to become even more dominant and he helped he teammates get that hunger to win at all cost.
@Cheng Hao Huang Kobe might have been more skilled offensively, but he didn't have MJ's athleticism to back it up. And MJ was a more skilled defender imo. Idk, it's really hard to separate the athleticism from the player to me and MJ was inhumanly athletic so it's difficult to nail his skill level. So much of what he went for could only have been done by him.
@@9ad263 Kobe had more variety in the ways he could score, although he missed more often and MJ had unmatched finishing abilities. The only person i've ever watched that might be as impressive in layup ability was D Rose.
