In a pair of must-win games this weekend, LeBron’s Lakers fell short to the New Orleans Pelicans 114-111 on Friday in Los Angeles. The King had a chance to send it to overtime, but air-balled the potential game-winner. Then yesterday, LeBron sat out the Lakers' loss to the 129-118 loss to the Denver Nuggets. LA has now dropped six straight and currently sit two whole games plus the tiebreaker behind the San Antonio Spurs for 10th in the West with only four games left on the schedule. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe break down what went wrong with the Lakers.

Starting mostly at home as well. People seem to forget that. They couldn't beat the terrible teams at home. What did you think was going to happen when they had to go on the road and start playing the harder teams? Yup 4-16. I'll say had they been healthy they have made play in. They were about a 40-win team if healthy. Not much higher with the horrible way they play defense.

Stop it!!! Skip makes no sense everything he says about LBJ is Skip looking at him as a superhero that's let him down. Unrealistic actions...not looking at reality. LeBron is down in Assists...someone has to make a shot, LeBron cant close...AD was supposed to take the mantle, LeBron airballed the last shot...he had to pump fake 3 times no legs in the shot. Passing to AR15, THT, Johnson, Westbrook, Howard, Gabriel...last time he had double digit assists Augustine on the Lakers went 6/6 from 3...PLAYERS HAVE TO MAKE SHOTS. They aren't consistent. LeBron had 10.3 assists in a season throwing lobs to Mcghee, Howard and AD...please be realistic.

How you finish matters more than how you start. Jordan finished stronger than he started which is normal. It's called maturity. Jordan, Magic, Kareem, Kobe and Duncan all finished stronget than they started. LeBron's basketball legacy is oversaturated by padding stats because he's playing into his 40s. Jordan's resume is stronger and more impressive period. Lebrons got lots of empty calories like Karl Malone, Mark Jackson, etc.

As a Laker fan, after how they all played, they’re better missing this years Play-In, the playoffs, the play-outs, the play-thoughts, All of the plays! 🤦🏻‍♂️ They started this year with all the hype acquiring all these veterans and for them to not deliver? Wow! Talks about the drive they had, they were all talk and no action. Lebron said, “keep that same energy”, well it looks like we did but they couldn’t keep the minimum energy to remain in the Play-In! Despite of Lebron winning the Scoring title, it says very little of him of him trying to win a championship since that’s what is all about, this season is another stain on Lebrons legacy unfortunately. That takes nothing from him being great and with the chance of passing Kareem, but after this, I don’t want to hear him in the GOAT conversation ever again 🤦🏻‍♂️ he will never pass MJ after this. I don’t think he’ll get to win a 5th 🏆
