I saw one on the street the other day and the guy let me ride it. I'm 6'3"and he was probably 6'1" but I was shocked that it didn't feel small. He was thrilled with it after having it for about 3 weeks so that's the only input I have. Don't be afraid to buy one if you're tall because the seat and handlebars adjust.
I own one of these. I purchased it to get me from point a to point b. I wasn't thinking of style or exercise or even fun. But I'm telling you this thing is tons of fun. I had the original version 1.0. but I damaged it so the throttle wouldn't engage anymore. And that was my fault not Lectric's. I didn't purchase Lectric's bike lock because I already had one of the same type, a foldy lock. It cost me about $95 but man this thing is sturdy. And I didn't care for the key on this model. Getting it out isn't that big of a hassle but inserting it is a major pain so I just leave the key in all the time. But I never leave it somewhere outside without locking it up. Overall I'm very happy with this conveyance. One of the best purchases I ever made.
Bought two Lectric 2.0 step-through bikes in black a week ago (11/2) using the link above. Both were delivered five days after that (11/7). Paid $949 plus tax for each, including delivery during the Black Friday Sale. Have already checked out and ridden the first one. Assembly was essentially done, just unfold it and check that all fittings are tight. Packaging and owner manuals are great. First e-bike experience and these guys knocked it out of the park. Thanks!
Dang five days after that! I bought mine 4 days ago and it hasn’t shipped yet, they said they are shipping it this week but hopefully it doesn’t get delayed cause of holidays
Just sold my KBO Breeze today and am ordering a new Lectric 2.0 stepthrough tomorrow. I got a messed up back and it's too hard to get on the bike. It's a big bike.
I’m from Australia and we don’t get the range of bikes you guys do, but after lots of humming and haaing I bought a very similar bike. I am using it for rehab after an operation, slowly, mind you, but at 68, this is the best thing I have done for years. I haven’t ridden it a lot but when I have I loved it, except for a sore freckle because of the seat. As I recover I will be getting on it more and more. In the meantime I am watching thousands of you tube videos to get my ebike thrills. Don’t muck around, by an ebike, get on it and have a good time.
As an addendum, after buying my bike my friends bought two, another mate bought one for himself and one for his daughter and a woman at work also bought one. I will have to contact the dealer and negotiate a commission deal. Once you gave a ride you realise how good they are and how adaptable they are. I am 6’4” and I fit on mine without any problems.

Some input on the weight of the 2.0 bike regarding pedalling it completely manually, without any pedal assist. The weight was a very big question for me as I pondered purchasing this bike. I'm 56 years old, 5' 4" and 131 lbs. I did not buy the step-thru and this configuration fits me pretty well. I had also wondered if perhaps it would be a little big for me, yet the bike is just fine in that aspect. I had been concerned about a situation of being 10 miles away from home and completely running out of battery. The bike arrived today, so I can't give much input, but I think my initial experience might help some of you on the fence due to the weight question. I took the bike out to test the unassisted ride. I didn't even take the keys with me. I was very pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to pedal. The 7 speed, while not top of the line, is very smooth and efficient. I would say for most of us, it is more than sufficient. On level ground, I didn't feel much difference between the XP 2.0 and my human-powered mountain bike, which is 30 lbs lighter. Back to the battery running out of juice 10 miles from home scenario: On fairly level ground, I could pedal my bike all the way home with no problem. I think ditto for minor inclines, but I believe it would be really challenging on mid grade hills. I shall be testing out pedal assist zero on such hills in the near future. So there you have it, my one-cent worth. I obviously haven't had the bike long enough, but I thought data from an old guy regarding absolutely no pedal assist might be helpful! I'm impressed so far. The oil front suspension is smooth!!
1200 miles in 10 months on my XP. A few notes. Like the one customer complaining about a weak steering stem. I also hit an unmarked speed bump at 20 MPH. My fault, not wrong with the steering. Cracked helmet. 2nd. I realized after I hit the speed bump I was unable to stop because my brake pads were worn out. Easy fix, the next time I came down the "Widow Maker" bridge I could smell my new pads breaking in. Now I'll replace with new pads every 500 miles. And is there any hope that I could upgrade my 2001 with a retro fit of the telescoping forks from 2022? Keep up the good work folks.

Just bought this on the black friday sale. Can't beat the deal, and watching all different reviews it really does seem to be the best bang for the buck.
This bike still stays at the back of my head when I want to purchase a new EBike. The only thing I dislike so much about it is keeping the key in to operate.

I just got a 2.0 XP and love it...except for how high I have to set the seat. I am only 5'7" but feel I would have done better with a step thru due to the height of the bar which houses the battery. The bike is very solid and compact when folded. But dang it, I should have gotten a step thru! Nothing more embarrassing than to tip over trying to throw a leg over. Oy.
I can't spend much more then about 650....I'm looking at the Avantrek 200 or the Aostimotor, both basically the same. One has front shocks. I'm a new e bike user, I'm not off roading, I live at the beach...all flat , any suggestions on those 2 bikes or something similar, I love this one but out of my price range, I am 6 ft. 245lbs, I don't want to make the wrong choice, any suggestions would be great ,thank you
The tires seem pretty small. But I'm 5'2". How good would this be for my size? I just don't want something that looks like a clown bike. Been looking at various ebikes and this is the one I'm seriously considering purchasing soon.
Nice review. I’m looking for an EBike and this one is in my price range which is a minor consideration. I’m like everyone, I want a top model, really fast with the best parts but I can’t spend that much. I already have a lot of regular bikes that I ride and tour on. So some guy drove his 200 miles and traded it in for another brand at Third Rail Bikes in San Francisco. Yesterday they offered to test drive it there so I arrived and the guy was having a hard time starting it. I went back home and am waiting for the demo call to go back. The store said the motors are prone to burn out from the hills here riders shouldn’t try. The problem is they don’t offer refunds to purchase by mail. Their profit margin has to be ridiculously low. It’s only a matter of time. If their bikes were that good they would charge more. They hurt their brand being too cheap. Something’s wrong.
Yeah the bike is fine but the mileage sucks, Lectric claims that you can get around 40 miles out of a fully charged battery which is a complete fabrication.
Well, in assuming regulations in the UK are the issue. I've heard that in Europe ebikes are only allowed to go 15 mph under throttle, which, of course, wouldn't let this bike be legal there.
I seldom see in any of these videos, the "Logic" of the key being under the frame. I suppose it has to do with the metal control tip that allows the battery removal, but if or since the 2.0 is an upgrade, why the undermount ignition? Would someone please give me the details on it
I bought a bike it had a bad motor and battery I took a day of work with customer service to diagnose it and realized they get cheap Chinese batteries and it's a kinda common problem the bike at first didn't even close and they recommend bending the progs w pliers when I sent the bike back cuz I couldn't miss another day of work they charged me a few hundred dollars to ship it back and restock it but it wasn't my fault they didn't send what was advertised and I missed a whole day of work trying to get approval to deal w a bike tech

Why does this look truly black while mine looks dark blue? That’s been my only nitpick about the 2.0 version. The 1.0 was definitely black and didn’t have the busy graphics decals the 2.0 has, and I think it had a more tough “cool” look about it.
I also wish they used sone lightweight plastic (and not so large) fenders. This would be less bulky and reduce overall weight, especially because the support braces wouldn’t be needed either. I’ve actually been trying to find some aftermarket’s that would fit, and have even considered cutting the existing fenders to shorten them enough to not require the support braces.
I have the original XP and it stops no problem. I'm 180 lbs + 30 lbs trailer + 2 kids 80 lbs + school backpacks 10 lbs. 300 lbs total. The only downside is that I change brake pads every 6 months because we live in an hilly area. I've put over 2000 miles on a little bit over 1.5 years.
@@jaredemmette9752 Pads are easy to find, but due to supply chain issues they currently take about 1 month to arrive. I just order 2 pairs and when 1 is used, I order another pair. I recommend the semi-metallic. The metallic last longer but doesn't stop as quick and I don't like the feel. The resin ones have great feel but wear out too quick. Semi-metallic seems to be the sweet spot. I ordered them off amazon.
I almost bought this in the beginning of 2020, but I order it , they nothing not stock , they sent email couple week later saying be a little bite, wanted a couple , found Rad there’s in stock, so canceling first bike and order Rad step Thur folding one,
I've had the XP 2.0 FOR ALMOST a year and have the biggest battery they offer. One gripe with this bike is their claim of reaching 28mph is a joke. With that tire size it's impossible to achieve that speed. And the ignition key placement sucks. It's a comfortable ride and feels stable on most surfaces. Customer service is a joke but shouldn't need it if you don't get a lemon and remember no returns period

The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
It's some 45 miles, which is probably only on the assisted mode though. The pure electric mode will probably be half of that. However that is still enough for most people.
warning do not buy lectric xp bikes day have a flaw n them and it is the folding stem is weak i know this because i have 2 of them and day both did the same thing to me after riding it for 6 months i notice the stem started wobbling then one day while i was riding my bike the stem just snapped n half and i almost crashed it i could of died i called lectric xp about it and instead of helping me with the problem day actually blamed me for it day said that i cant ride up hills with the bike i cant ride over speed bumps with it just flat roads no off roads i said well before i bought it day told me the complete opposite that i can go up hills and go over speed bumps now day changed there minds and words u see how day are its a dam shame now i have 2 lectric xp bikes with both broken stems that i can't even ride at all dnt let this happen to u

United States federal law dictates that ebikes may only go only 20 mph under throttle only. In Europe it's limited to 15 mph. Keep in mind the average person can bike about 12 mph and rarely exceed that should you be happy.
I ordered my two bikes in October for my wife and I and then the big sale happed with the thrown in extras. I asked if they would honor my order for the free upgrades and was told “no” since I was early by about 20 days. I told them even Costco honors prices etc for 30 days after the sale but to no avail. Just know there is no understanding or follow up after the sale. My request was in e-mail but no follow up at all except for denial. I asked to appeal this to the owners no answer back. I’m 66 and my wife is 64 and are looking forward to riding our new bikes. You would think this company would service their customers with a little bit of understanding but apparently a sale is a sale even if it was under a month.
My Lectric only gets to 23 mi.an hour and they claim that you can get 40 mi. on a full battery is total bs. Don't waste the money on the comfort package because it sucks and the original seat is better. I'm getting 5 mi. on a full battery just using full electric which really sucks.
Battery is super small,such a waste,and they did such a good job on upgrading other things, The battery is the most important thing bigger is better always!
Do your self a favor and stay away from this brand. Lectric is pure garbage. They suck so bad they took their phone lines down because so many people are calling customer service. And oh btw they do not refund. Even if they sell you a busted bike. There is a warranty but you have to pay out of pocket for shipping and for service and repairs to any bike mechanic

I purchased 2 and have never been able to ride the 1. It arrived not working and the company has been a nightmare to work with. The bike weighs so much that only the most manly of woman would ever be able to put this in her trunk. The folding feature is so stiff again it takes a lot of muscle. Over all, this bike is a heap of crap and gets 1 star...
lol just had one of these roll into the shop. What a POS. I'll stick to Bosch. I can ride in torrential rains with no worry what so every, and these bikes have terrible torque. If you live in a city with steep hills you won't like this.
Good luck though on claiming it on your taxes!!! Vin doesn't work. Company name will not take. I emailed them about this and they just said call the I.R.S.??? So I gotta sit and wait for an hour on the phone ............
