In Part Five of the Life of Lee Harvey Oswald, Marina meets and befriends Ruth Paine. I visit the Paine home and discuss their move to New Orleans and their life in the city where Lee was born. Lee experiments with legitimate political activism on behalf of Fidel Castro and attempts to form a New Orleans branch of Fair Play for Cuba committee, though his activities were not sanctioned by the organization.

This information was gathered within a year of events happening. I know Marina feels differently now. Memory is a weird thing. We can literally convince ourselves something happened that never did. Conspiracy theories made her question her own memories, and I can understand how convincing yourself the conspiracies are real and your husband innocent would be comforting. I trust this fresh account she gave in the 60s more than anything she would say now.

5:37 Does anyone know what happened to Everett Dow Glover? He seems to be the linchpin. He was ice skating with the de Mohrenschildts lost track of them then re-met them playing tennis. He was 45 at the time (born 1917). He claims George de M introduced him to the Oswalds at a party in Feb 1963. But Everett worked at Socony Mobil Research Laboratory where there was a "discussion group" about Russia (?) to which George de M brought LHO in January 1963. Everett and some friends were also learning Russian (?). Everett's other interest was singing in a church choir. Michael Paine like singing madrigals (?) and he met Everett in the choir. So Everett had a party and George de M brought the Oswalds and Michael brought Ruth to meet the native Russian speaker. Everett then married a 23 year old Hungarian exile half his age. There is no record of him dying. There is no record of what he did in WW2 other than being enlisted. Also when Michael left Ruth he went to live with Everett. So anyone know what happened to Everett?

I'm curious how Oswald got to Walker's house with a rifle, even taken apart. By bus it was about an hour. It was about a 2 hour walk. Could you just get on a bus with a rifle in 1963? Could it have been taken apart and wrapped in a blanket?

From what I know, there isn’t one, at least not to Ruth or Michael. Any other family member working for the CIA has anything to do with them. I had a great-aunt who worked for the FBI. I think that is super cool but it doesn’t mean I have anything to do with the FBI. I don’t entertain conspiracy theories. If it’s been debunked I do not use it. From my research Oswald was a troubled man, a narcissist who wanted to be famous. He had motive and was capable of doing what the evidence shows he did. I don’t know why people want him to be innocent so badly. I guess because it’s so hard to wrap their head around such a loser so easily killing the most powerful man in the world. I guess it brings comfort to think shady and powerful forces had to be involved. But there’s no evidence of it. My channel tells what the evidence shows and that is it. I don’t consider myself anti-conspiracy so much as pro-evidence, and if there’s no real evidence to support something it will not appear here. Thanks for watching.

You would be correct if you didn't count Ruth's Father, Sister and Brother-in-Law as well as ignoring the documented front organization's she worked with. You mentioned Michael's Step-Father but you really need to do a deep dive on everyone else in his extremely highly connected, extremely wealthy and extremely influential extended family. Extended all the way back from the signing of the Declaration of Independence to today. It's one thing to have a great-aunt who worked for the FBI, It's quite another to have everyone you have ever met be in some way connected to the FOUNDING of the entire nation and every governmental agency that sprung forth from it. That dude's family tree could be a separate series on its own.

Ruth Paine: takes in a young mother fleeing an abusive husband, tries to help them get back on their feet, and for that she gets to spend the next 60 years watching crackpot armchair detectives happily libel her as a conspirator without evidence so long as it suits their stupid "theories..."

@@MMorbidWhat was Oswald's motive? Ruth's sister worked directly for the CIA. Her dad & brother in law applied directly to the CIA. Her dad worked for a known CIA front company. She visited her sister who was employed by the CIA before picking up Marina in New Orleans. Michael Paine's mom was best friends with Dulles's mistress. Michael's boss at work was brought to the US by Dulles & William Harvey's wife. Ruth said she grew up in a very anti communist family and yet she housed a known Russian defector at her house. A man vouched for the Paine's to the FBI after the assassination. That man started an organization with Allen Dulles. Michael Paine had security clearance and yet still housed a known Russian defector. It can go on & on. Ruth has been caught in multiple lies. Watch her interviews. She always cries when talking about JFK but no tears ever come out. I see you went for the old "People just don't want to believe such a small man killed such a great man" line or the 7 degrees of separation, lol. Maybe thinking Oswald did it makes you feel comfortable.Detective Curry & Hoover said they could never put Oswald in the 6th floor w/ the rifle at the time of the shooting. 40 people said JFK had a large wound in the back of his head. Jackie testified to it but they withheld that part of her testimony until someone sued to get it 30 yrs later. Why do you want him to be guilty so bad?

So much information in these videos I have never heard before! I was a kid when the assassination happened. I am curious if it is true that Russians don't like high ceilings. I even Googled the subject and didn't learn anything. Part of my ancestry is Russian and Russian Jewish. I have never heard anything about ceiling heights being important. Practically, in the severe cold of Russian winters, high ceilings would be less than desirable. Heat rises. If people are feeling cold at floor level, they sure don't want all the heat up near a high ceiling. However that may be, pioneer houses here in the west frequently had high ceilings. If these houses had a second floor, openings were cut into the second story floors so heat from a wood stove on the ground floor kitchen for instance, would rise, go through the floor grates and help heat the upper story. I never found this arrangement very useful because there was simply too much space to heat. Folks who lived in those old houses before modern heating remember being cold all the time. I have just described houses, not cozier, smaller cabins that many people had. The cabins were small with low ceilings at least in part to hold in as much heat as possible in brutal winters.
@larsonawitz
@larsonawitz 10 месяцев назад
That was a strong Soviet era view as only high party officials and well connected foreigners were allowed to live in older apartments near the center of cities which were better constructed and had much more living space compared to the cramped mass produced cheap apartments the average person lived in. The large ornate Tsarist era luxury apartments typically have very high ceilings and large windows in order to capture the most possible available sunlight during winters. If Marina was saying she did not want high ceilings it was probably either because she knew Lee wanted to hear her say something like that, or because she felt that in Louisiana they would cause the home to be too hot. Or maybe both. Most likely though she probably just wanted to go back to Ruth's. There is also the possibility that Marina knew that many of those cheap Soviet apartment buildings had the same architectural design as those that made up the public housing projects in America. The same public housing projects that were developed by Lyman Paine Jr, Father of Michael Paine.

Yes. That possibility existed although it never really crossed my mind. Nonetheless, it appears that Marina did become disenchanted with her later, as she felt that Ruth was attempting to capitalize, personally, from her former relationship with the Oswald family.
