On October 14, 1963, Lee Harvey Oswald rented a room at the boarding house of successful businesswomen Gladys Johnson. He lived there for six weeks where her grandchildren developed a fondness for the quiet 24 year old. Glady’s grandchildren spent every evening after school at the boarding house.Lee played with the boys and helped her granddaughter Patricia with her homework. I spent nearly two hours with Patricia, viewing the house and documenting her memories and stories of the young man she has come to revere. She now owns the house and is gradually returning it to its 1963 appearance. Much of the furniture is original. She recently succeeded in getting the house added to the National Registry of Historic Places. Patricia also shares information about her grandmother, who was a fascinating woman. She managed several successful business ventures, and accomplished it with a fourth grade education. Her mother was an accomplished artist and photographer. Enjoy this intimate, and much more positive view of Lee Harvey Oswald, please subscribe, like, share, and check me out on Patreon,

Madame Morbid=> I am really impressed with your channel. You have a special talent for covering these stories. Dyslexia was not even recognized until the 1970's or 80's. Schools were formulated to educate the majority, If kids fell too far behind, they could end up in the "MR Class". MR = Mentally Retarded. "Special education" wasn't a term until the late 60's, early 70's. The "MR Classes" consisted of some extremely learning challenged kids as well as some who had profound learning disabilities. Where I attended school, such students were also labelled "Trainable MR" and there was an effort in high school for these kids to get some job experience such as washing dishes at the high school. There were also a lot of crafts and hobby type things taught to these kids who had such difficulty with reading and writing. The kids were taught simple weaving, leather work, etc. President Kennedy's sister Eunice Shriver made a tremendous effort to champion those with learning disabilities and other similar disabilities. Special Education and special children were new terms that made MR obsolete. And the Special Olympics were started. This is such an important part of life for those who are significantly disabled. One of my godchildren is now 50 years old and is still active with Special Olympics.

Great Video. Roberts was a key witness. She mentioned a 2nd Police car #207 that was out front while Oswald was changing. (They honked twice) 4 other witnesses noticed a 2nd police car in the alley that Tippit's car blocked on 10th, moments later. Everyone who knew Oswald seemed to say he was a fine fellow. Patricia Hall is just one more.

Hmmm...he was thrown out of his previous boarding house because his landlady, Mary Bledsoe, felt "“there was just something about him I didn’t like or want him- just wasn’t the kind of person I wanted. Just didn’t want him around me". This is a fascinating video though. Madame Morbid has truly excellent people skills! It's good to see another side of Oswald. It confirms what Wesley Frazier said about him being good with kids. People are complex.

@@KennethPoole-y7z 1. "I don't think he was creepy at all, or violent." Oh, you are wrong. He was violent against his family (he was thrown out of this half-brother's home in New York for punching his mother and threatening his half-brother's wife with a knife) in the Marines (he was court martialed for violence) and against his wife. This is John Pic's testimony under oath..."It seems that according to my wife’s statement that my mother antagonized Lee, being very hostile toward my wife and he pulled out a pocketknife and said that if she made any attempt to do anything about it that he would use it on her, at the same time Lee struck his mother. This perturbed my wife to no end. So, I came home that night, and the facts were related to me." 2. "Ask the people in Minsk who got know him well. They thought he was intelligent, non-violent, a nice guy in fact." Oswald's violence seems to have been related to his frustrations at not being as significant or as important as he felt he should have been. It's not hard to see how he could be happy on arriving n Minsk, being the center of attention as the only American in town. Think about what you are saying. You are saying that, because one group of people liked someone, that we can totally dismiss that person's long record of violence and threats. People are complex.

I’m really enjoying your videos. I think that what I like the most is that you take the time to look at different sides of some of the people who are commonly seen as people who are just bad or evil. I love that. It’s a rare trait and I hope that you never lose it. I’ve always been interest in Oswald. One of my first memories is of the day JFK was killed and it’s always been part of my consciousness. When you think that Oswald was only 24 years old when he died. He was self taught in Russian and so fluent that Marina thought he was some kind of Eastern European at first. I’m working on learning Russian right now and, believe me, it’s no easy thing. Anyway, your work is very impressive…don’t quit anytime soon.

Really Nice video that adds a layer of detail to the Kennedy assassination History……On a side note is highly suspect that Lee Harvey Oswald could speak fluent Russian…when and where was he trained in Russian language its a very hard language to learn …Marina is on tape saying she thought he was a “Russian” when they met.
@MMorbid
@MMorbid Год назад
Yes, he could. He started learning in the states but mastered the language while living in Russia. His coworkers there helped him enormously. It’s covered in this episode. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f98wDYscoU8.html

@zingwilder9989
@zingwilder9989 Год назад
Oswald appeared to have an obsessive desire to learn the language, possibly fueled by his contempt for US society. There are claims that he began teaching himself while in the Marine Corps by obtaining recordings and newspapers; however, it may have been earlier. It will never be known if he attained native speaker level, but he was highly functional.

No offense but it's important to take people like her with a grain of salt. Oswald lived there just over 5 weeks and worked during the day and was gone on the weekends........That means he was only around 4 days after work per week...............People have creative memories about how well they knew someone and what happened during the time they knew them when it comes to historic events.
@MMorbid
@MMorbid 10 месяцев назад
I absolutely agree with you, I am glad he was kind to her but he has become extremely inflated in her mind. While her point of view is interesting I definitely think her memories have perhaps even become tainted by what she WANTS to believe rather than reality. I have the entire unedited interview on my Patreon and she gets into some really bizarre conspiracy stuff to try to make him innocent. It required some real mental gymnastics. If believing that makes her feel better more power to her I suppose. I chose to hide my opinions from her during the interview and they are pretty well documented in my other videos about Oswald.
