Legacy Armada Megatron: Gimmicks of Olde 

As someone who has the original figure I can say that the h-tank mode is basically 100% accurate to the original figure. And the original's sholder treads can actually rotate unlike the new version, but I'm not mad about it because of how exquisite it looks (I mean the shoulder that the treads are attached to for future reference)

Childhood hath returned; gimmicks are a very fun feature in new figures, and I’m glad the designers are including them

Armada Megatron was my first introduction to the Megatron character. Never owned the original Armada Megatron toy, nor the Combiner Wars version, so I'm so glad Hasbro brought this version back for Legacy Evolution. From robot to tank mode, he looks so accurate to the Armada show. I do wish his horn pincers didn't come off and for the shoulder tank treads to be locked in. The tank barrel to come off the turret to be a arm blaster is a cool feature. -Him, Starscream, now we need Demolisher and Cyclonus. -Looking forward to his repaint as Galvatron. -I got this Armada Universe Megatron at Walmart the other day. I also saw a package refresh Blitzwing under the Legacy Evolution title.

I grew up on an amalgamation of megatrons from bayverse to prime, but this version has always stuck and i dont know why but im glad theres a new toy of this desgin. Though it may never happen i want this to be adapted into live action(making up for thrust)

There is a Warpath H-Tank and I was one of the people who thought a new series meant a new cast so I didn't know Armada, Energon, and Cybertron were all in the same continuity. Also I found it hilarious when you tried to test the leg stability and the shoulder dropped to his hips.

I've been browsing this figure on the BBTS a while ago, he just looks so damn COOL. Sidenote can I just say how much I love the artwork for the Leader Class Packaging, it reminds me so much of the old Lego Bionicle/Hero Factory packaging when I was a kid.

Two Recommendations for this Toy, cause He's worth it: 1. Swapping the turret for Gamer Edition Meg's Cannon. I can't take credit for this but if you have the GE Megatron, this is a must imo. The canon is just too small for wfc megatron and there are plenty of upgrades kits that do it better. It's the same shape as the armada barrel but bigger and not made with the soft easily warping material. The peg on GE Meg's cannon means he can hold it in a way that gives "Such Heroic Nonsense" rather than "Punch-Dildo", and with the tank articulation, you can put it in his hand without parts forming. Also if you do want the punch-dildo, it's even more powerful now. 2. Giving the Turret a full 360. If you unscrew the ab-piece and the green piece attaching the tank turret to the purple swivel you can cut the stopper and give the turret a full 360. From what I can see the limited rotation is only so the barrel can sit at that 45 angle on his back but i much prefer the trade off for an unimpeeded turret especially since I just keep the barrel in his hand (see upgrade 1). The megadong is possible, and mortals quiver in it's majesty. I already loved this guy before but now after I've done both of these to mine, (and have an upgrade kit for the shoulders on the way) I haven't put this guy down since. He's defenitely earnt the upgrade.

I just got him yesterday after being incredibly lucky figure hunting and he’s absolutely my favorite thing I got from yesterday and is now standing as my definitive Megatron figure next to the TLK voyager

If I get this mold, I'd likely glue the horns and tank barrel in place. Should I get this or the inevitable Galvatron repaint? 🤔

I’m glad you liked this one as much as I did, he’s so damn good. Absolute peak transformer design. Unicron Trilogy Megatron was my Megatron growing up. I’m so glad Armada was done well. I’m excited to see what they do with Energon and Cybertron Megatron down the line.

I am so glad the turret gun can point forward while the tank turret stays on his back. It was the coolest yet lamest way for megatron to fire at someone in the cartoon

Even though I never grew up on armada or anything like armada, this figure is indeed a micro masterpiece, and actually feels like a toy that I would really like in the 2000s, yes the arms don’t tab in, but everything else is really great and it’s really worth on what your getting with this figure, the transformation is really great, probably one of the best leader class figures that has a transformation that is fun and really enjoyable, so overall I’m really am happy with this figure.

The crest on his chest not having the Decepticon logo is so weird because I'm like 99% positive he had that in the show. He didn't have it in every shot because it was a small part on him so distancing and angles meant it couldn't always be there but it was supposed to be.

The Combiner Wars version and the Armada Megatron Eris Kultur next to this would certainly make quite the stag beetle-headed family.

I grew up with Armada and Megatron was one of my favourites, so this is one of my favourite figures of the year so far (just behind 86 Snarl).

I was the other way round, I got the back end of Armada and then I was on the look out for energon and used to get up at 5:30am to watch each new ep.

I got Armada Prime from BBTS weeks ago. Now I have to see everyone getting Megatron at Walmart while my preorder sits... I can't wait to get this.

Legacy out here fucking killing it with the Unicron Trilogy figures. Also, if I recall correctly, back during when they revealed Armada Megatron, they said that they had another gimmick (a combining one) incorporated into Megatron....hinting that Tidal Wave might be coming.

This is possibly the best mainline megatron we have had in a long time

I vaguely remember seeing an armada episode like quite a few years after it came out, way before I even knew what transformers was. My first thought was “why does the tank look like a frog”. I’ve never been able to unsee it. Maybe it’s just the colors.

I just got the Galvatron repaint, and it definitely beats the hell out of the siege mold and I guess they decided to glue the ears in on this version.

I think the thing I would have liked to see the most with this figure is acually a Leader 1. Normaly I'm not the biggest fan of minicons but I feel like for Megatron it was so important since it doubled as a target master and completed his "chest cannon".

I love Armada Megatron so damn much. His alt mode is basically a Scorpion from Halo, making it *THE* tank Megatron. This is one of the best figures to come out of Legacy, and I'd kill for this to be remolded/repainted into a fully game-accurate Scorpion for a Halo crossover, even though that is never going to happen.

I meant as in I was born in 2006 and the films were my first introduction to the franchise and I saw G1 last, this is why I was fine with the different designs. I also love the designs from the films.

Been a while since hearing a glowing recommendation. Seems like across the board this figure amazes. This design definitely shows you don't have to always follow G1 to look good.

Scheduled programming is the reason why I never finished most of the shows I watched as a kid. I would miss many episodes simply because I couldn't be in front of my tv as the show aired at that time. Things are better now that we can watch most shows on demand, now it's just a manner of not being too busy to sit down and watch 2 or 3 episodes. I started Energon about a month ago and just only watched episode 3 yesterday. This Megatron is pretty cool. Not sure if I want him since he's not my favorite Megatron by any means but yeah pretty great.

I just started watching armada And armada megatron is very, very enjoyable. Not as much as beast wars or prime, but still very enjoyable, even though he says something, very questionable. And as for this figure, I NEED it, I want a full cast of armada, at least the 1st 7, all we need is a red alert, cyclonus and demolisher Edit: I don’t think legacy will cover the movie designs, plus we already have a studio series ROTF Megatron, which RULES

Armada Thrust: "He´s still a stag bettle!" But yeah, damn cool figure. I didn´t get Hot Shot or Armada Screamer because I want their repaints instead, but I may get this one.

4:00 I dabbed a spot of super glue in each piece to get them to stay. Then I realized they were on backwards and had to pull them out again! Happily, I did only use a slight dab of glue. Just enough to adhere, but not enough to cement. I wiggled them out, swapped them back. The glue remnants increased friction to the point I forgot looseness was an issue until I rewatched this vid.

Funny you should mention Galvatron, because Energon Megatron/Galvatron was clearly just G1 galvatron through an energon filter with Armada's tank mode strapped to his arm. I like the looks of this guy, buy I'll wait for the inevitable Galvatron repaint, as that was the first version of the character I got collecting back when I only really grew the collection when someone donated theirs to Savers or sold it dirt cheap on Mercari.

Had to put him in storage for a month, And after I pulled him out, he'd lost both of his ears and I've only been able to recover one of them.

Just picked this guy up at my local walmart....insane as it is that they have him....but I digess! He is a really cool megs and I think he will look FANTASTIC next to armada optimus prime!

Glad to see another Armada W in Legacy/Evolution/third chapter. In other news, I got my mitts on Kingdom Core Optimus and Megatron from my local Big Lots (because Core Class really doesn’t do well in my area). Optimus is a mid downsized version of ER Prime; Megatron friggin rules. Hopefully Kingdom Megs inspires future G1 Megatron toys…
