This is the Silent Realm trial on the Eldin Volcano. The reward for beating it is the Fireshield Earrings, which protect you from extreme temperatures like the Goron Tunic from OOT.
Did you know that if you fail the Silent Realm enough times, Fi will say "The chances that you are not the chosen hero are increasing." In other words, she just tells you straight up that you suck. Way to encourage your master, Fi...
TheMonkeyLoyd lol how do you even fail the only time I ever filled trying to do the harp was that that pumpkin place ( I forgot what it was called but after the first time I kept failing and failing)
@@laundrewashington3734 I was during the desert harp thing, but I suspect it was because my wiimote was very low on battery. After I charged it, I got it on the first try.
The trials were sooooooooooooo scary. For some reason I would not mind charging through 1000 goblins, but whenever these trials came, I was like ''fuck''.
I'm on the same boat with you. I even got through this Realm yesterday. And after I collected the last tear I accidentally jumped in the waking water and I had to charge my way to the exit. I was so scared of these trials so much that the guardians became my worst nightmare.
Kahlo kahlow as stressful as they were, this is how games should do drama and tension, with genuine challenge that isn't just AI being programmed to do more damage. How it works, genuinely works with the story and has a purpose.
Ah, the PTSD realm. The digital edition of stress, yet I still like them. Dunno why but I adore and hate these things at the same time and can't have this game without them, and want them gone at the same time.
Gathered data from the RU-vid comments, and I can conclude the following: You must show courage. Panicking causes you to lose. You must show wisdom. If you don't come up with a strategy, you will lose. You must show power. Lots of parkour jumps. Slightest mistake causes you to lose. See how it works? Not only that but I find that if you put all three together and you can evade the Guardians when they wake up.
Oh my god you were lucky at 6:44 XD. That whole time I was just like, "SCREW IT MAN IT'S NOT WORTH IT. *RUUUUN!* SHJKDBFJHSVDFV." And then you got it and I was left with PTSD
WAIT-link has to go through a mission that gives me a heart attack every time, prove he is consciously and physically hero, and he gets a pair of earrings as a reward? I love this game, but it can really confuse me. Oh well.
Idk I kinda like how they acknowledge that he has earrings and in my opinion, they are not that bad looking. I love that they actually put them on Link, most games do not put in the effort.
This one had me shaking like a leaf, even after I had already completed it I was still all worked up. It's interesting how they reuse the same map quite a lot, but still manage to make it feel like quite a new experience. I also loved the part where you had to hunt to get your items back in Eldin volcano.
Me and my brother played this alot a couple of years ago. We both stopped for awhile when we got to this point.. Then I got super aggravated for some weird reason, so, with my fury, I unleashed it out on this very realm, and did it. I was way too mad to be scared, then my brother was just like, "HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!" My brother was still scared to do it, so he cheated and did a save off of MY game and on to his 😐. I was so proud of me
cixlo Oi. I stopped before I got too pissed off. Instead, I sat there, watching this video and repeated the same thing to finish it. Then....a month later, my TV died. ;-; Needs a new power supply. Sigh.
When I was younger I was up past my bedtime playing one of these trials. I was being chased by the huge nigga with the sword and I screamed really loud and I almost got my ass beat lmao
This was the easiest trial for me, I dunno but Lanayru was the hardest, the dang cart that trolled you with waking water and the huge valley full of a thousand guardians with lanterns were a pain. This one was hard like all the other ones, but not THAT much :V
I just finished it the other day after 3 tries. The slide is the worst for me as I can’t really maneuver Link but luckily managed to. Mine is just pure luck.
I've been in the situation where I couldn't find anymore tears and the guardians chased me around ALL over the entire place for like 10 minutes straight in this realm.
I got stuck on that LAST tear. This video saved me from destroying my room in rage, cuz I sure as hell wasn't going through this stress again. Thank you.
the fact that the first tear you went for was out of the way freaked me out so bad. when i saw this the first time a few years ago, i just thought what are you doing?! i got really scared
Did this on the first try. Thanks so much! Also, didn't wake the guardians (start doesn't count), but on the first slide, i ran out of stamina getting the 3rd tear... If it were real life, link was 1/4 inch away from the poe's beam. I almost cried :( then I was ecstatic! ALL WAS THANKS TO YOU!!!
oh my god XD thank you so much for this! now i finally managed to do the trial. the sentinels didn't even see me once and except from the end which was very close it was good XD only a few tears different than you collected them
cheers mate great help, I really couldnt be bothered trying this one, the last 2 were hard enough, if you miss the one on the slope just head straight back into the wind tunnel section and go again straight away, it helps if you go on that cliff and line it up before trying to get it!
The series as a whole, but the bosses are especially easy. There are difficult parts, but overall, its easy to any gamer that plays past a very casual level (like beyond playing Tetris or Angry Birds). When I hear the word "difficult", I think of I Wanna Be the Guy, or Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
At first, I was wondering why you didn't charge up a Skyward Strike before starting the trial, but then I remembered that only I do that, lol. Great video, since you didn't talk, and what I really wanted to hear was Link and Fi performing Din's Power without someone talking during it. 10/10 performance
The silent realms were honestly the only part in any game that would scare me to the point of giving me an adrenaline rush. But then again, nothing gave me a better feeling of relief when done. :)
TThanks to your video I was scared out of my mind doing this trial... and somehow I ended up doing it in one try. THANK YOU! I am not looking forward to the skyloft trial... I might get scared enough to try to have Link commit suicide. Damn ghosts with huge ass swords!
Man, this Silent Realm was the SOLE reason I didn't complete Skyward Sword. It gave me the creeps every time I tried (and failed) it. Not to mention the fact that I was the least familiar with Eldin Volcano's map...
Some guy: Sees the sword on the ground. Guy: nice *grabs sword* Link:*gets trapped in Silent realm forever and has to run from guardians forever since there are not more tears*
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!! I managed in 1 try with a low level of stress and panic!!! ( Though I'm shaking a bit ) I messed up a little bit, but I knew where the tears where and how to get them, so I didn't freak out and I didn't get caught once!!! ( Though I had some close calls lol ) So again, THAAANNKKK YYOOOOUU!!! ^^
i have this game and i can never get over how cool that looks when the spirit vessel comes out of your chest, how cool it looks when the guardians awaken, and how fuckingscary it is when your being chased by guardians (I once had like 5 sky guardians chasing me at one time)
I couldn’t beat this for the longest time when I was 10 but after a few months I came back and beat it and it felt so good to finally be finished. O wait..
I like Skyward Sword, but it's just a bit messed up. The villain you see the most is gay, the "Navi" of the game (Fi) keeps the conversation short and useful (unlike the actual Navi from Ocarina of Time), and they put these God forsaken trials as the bitch of the game!
Gustavo Paz I don't have anything against homosexuals or have homophobia. I just think that Nintendo really thought a little bit TOO much outside of the box.
"the villain you see the most is gay" lmfao I find the dude funny I laughed everytime I saw him. Although I don't like the "gay people is a creeper" vibe.
Why is everyone like "these trials are so scary" The music is calm, you got like 1min and 30sec to find a tear (that's plenty of time) you can see every tear for 30sec when you take that white ball.. I think they are really fun :) I never failed tho
+SpaceUnicorn "ONE YEAR LATE RESPONSE" .-. I get too into the games I play. But instead of heart attacks, I get massive adrenaline rushes from fighting bosses and doing those trials. I like the adrenaline rush I get, but bloody hell the shaking is hilarious and annoying at the same time.
It's mostly the music that scares people. Since the default track is peaceful harp, and the guardians' track is thumping and minor chords, it can be a little unnerving. Adding to that, the light changes from being a smooth light blue, to a sharp flaming orange. Since Link's spirit is still glowing with the white/light blue, he looks very out of place in the colour switch of the scenery. Link being out of place, makes the player feel out of place. Not to mention that the music and colour had become associated with the guardians awakening, being a negative aspect of pursuing the trial. The player would then associate the music and light changes to failure. But, as everybody knows, just because the guardians had been awakened, doesn't mean Link is going to fail. There's still a chance to win if the player tries hard enough. That's why the trials give people anxiety. They know that if they hear the sudden music/light change, they will fail unless they can find a way to succeed quickly.
I'm not a fan of these trials. But I had to do them anyways to get passed these trials, Every time I run out of time it gets me so stressed. Where it makes me very shaky and my heart starts to race, especially this one. I also forgot mention the trial in Skyloft.
The best way to do these is collect a light fruit then mark 5 tears with beacons. That way when it runs out you at least know where some are. Also save a tear near the entrance/exit.
The thing that worked for me anytime I had to walk on a rope was to hold the Nunchuk vertically and rock it from side to side, like an upside-down pendulum. As long as you keep a steady rhythm, you should have no problem getting to the other side.
this is the worst one for me becuase i kept geting chased and i got hit many times and i got sick of the dun dun dun dun that it makes when the the thing gets empty
@RamenTwinster -- llama face -- These trials seriously fuck me over. My heart starts pounding, my hands shake, I forget to breathe. And we have to do one more after this! I have a feeling I'm going to burst into tears trying to do one of these damned trials.
