The sea captain reminds me of Quint off of Jaws. Heck, scratch that the set seems like it was based all around new england/long island architecture. I love it!

I gotta get this! Totally using it for JAWS! It's basically Quint's shack--has the nets, poles, spearguns, (dynamite!)--everything you need for "SHARKIN'!"Even the minifig with the overalls, his face print looks a lot like Robert Shaw. All we need now is an Orca and a HUGE new shark! Come on Lego, give us The Orca!

The only small regret I have concering this set is that the lighthouse from the whole series of seaside buildings won´t have a big chance anymore of being approved. Would have liked that one even more. But great design afterall.

Oh my god. I fell in love with this set and I must get it 😂. It is scaled perfectly and is something I can put on a shelf and admire for a very long time. I don’t like play sets very much, so this set is perfect for me. I like technic, creator, and large building like the temple of arijitzu, temple of the ultimate ultimate weapon, and the green grocer

This is definitely in my top 10 favorite LEGO sets of all time. I love the details, the minifigures, and the accessories. Maybe mostly because it remind's me of my trips to Cape Cod Massachusetts. I see lot's of buildings like this there.

I saw this in the Lego store today and was ecstatic, I don't purchase Lego like i used to however when i saw this i almost bought it on the spot. such a fantastic build with the amount of detail and it just looks fantastic.

Got this at random the week it came out, didn't think it'd increase in price so much after retirement. It's still sitting in my Lego room unbuilt. May be good trade fodder eventually. Part of me does want to build it.

This set is beautiful -- I want one! I love the fisherman's sweater. The roof looks a little more than just run-down -- it looks like maybe a small hurricane went by. 😃

Great review! I really love the run-down, creepy look of this building, with all the loose and wonky bits - reminds me of the Lego Haunted House in that respect. I would imagine this set to be an old 'abandoned' fishing store, haunted by its inhabitants who mysteriously disappeared. Add a couple of ghosts, maybe swap some of the minifigure's heads for zombie heads, plus all those sharp hooks dangling - sounds pretty sinister, eh? I have a little Jack Torrance moc minifigure, and he needs a new quiet place to do his 'writing' - just whatever you do, don't interrupt him or offer him a sandwich!

Very very nice Jang. One very well designed ideas set. Only thing I don't like is the walkway been the two buildings. I think it would still look nice if the tower was in line with the front of the shop

@Alex Mulvihill The price doubling after retirement isn't to unusual. It is one of the downsides of getting back into Lego after a few years away. You miss good sets at a fair price. But if you REALLY want them they are still out there, but you better REALLY want them.
