@nicholasmanns ok got it. Thanks for the invite. I would love to visit your garden. I visit Florida in every summer. Can you please email me your contact information at this email: nnafzal@yahoo.com
Nice work Naveed! You're are the mango king for sure. Have you heard of the 13-1 rootstock? It supposedly handles calcareous soils and high salinity better than other rootstocks for mangos. Looks promising for phx area. I'm growing a 13-1 just to harvest the seeds from.
Very impressive mango collection you have in your yard! For your mango trees in pot, does the pot has an open bottom so you let the root grow into the native soil? Thanks.
Currently there are no pots with open bottoms. However, I am thinking of opening the bottom of 25 gallon Valencia pride tree that I have. Right now it is severely root bounded and opening bottom will help it grow somewhat better.
Hi Naveed, have you ever charted which varieties ripen at which time in AZ? I'm trying to add a few more mango trees, and want to get varieties that ripen at different times. Thanks for these videos.
Hello l, I have not specifically charted but I have a pretty good idea. Please message me on Facebook and I can give you approximate ripening time periods.
Since all my mango trees are either in a raised bed or pots, I water daily from March to November. Water every 2 days from November to February. I fertilize about every two months.
Hi Naveed, I saw your interview with Vu and was guessing there was no possible way you could possibly cold protect all those mango trees in the winter time or do you?
