@@paulacollier7176 in truth, if we live long enough & are fearless, I believe we all have or had a secret life. I’m now an old woman nearing the end, but still remember my secret life bc life is not all black & what, but mostly gray regardless how good or bad our intentions. Want to think my heart & intentions have usually been good, with the exception of one jaded year while feeling used up & defeated. During that year, I was definitely less than good or honorable, wishing to be the user instead of the used, although it was a bad year for men in my life unfortunately, and not good for my loved ones either sweetheart. Now, I have finally come to the place where I love everyone unconditionally. Don’t misunderstand bc I’m not a doormat, as I’m well aware that some people must be loved carefully, perhaps hungry but must be fed with a long handled spoon to prevent them from biting me LoL. Some can’t be hugged either, although they may need it badly, but it would be like hugging a porcupine so we must remember self preservation. After dealing with such people, it’s always nice to remember my secret life & relax alone listening to this song. At the ripe old age of 60, now having Parkinson’s Disease & being underweight, remaining among the living is my full time job bc it’s becoming more difficult in this late stage. Paula, different ages & stages of life all bring new adventures & new lessons, no matter how much we think we have already learned. A little less than two years ago, I stood at the door between life & death. Without going into details, God permitted me to stay, but I didn’t stay for my love of life or for my pleasure. I’m a mother & grandmother, but also an orphan so understand the pain of losing a mother & did not want that for my only child regardless of my pain, which I honestly had already had enough of & only weighed 73 pounds as I was starving to death. So I asked for a miracle & God gave it, for awhile. Unfortunately, I didn’t ask Him to remove the pain, so He didn’t. Not sure how much time I have left, but do know I’m here as a messenger with obligations to others. Idk why I’m talking to you, so that is between you & God. So all I know to do is tell you some more I guess. Having Parkinson’s my weight loss was diagnosed to that, although I said something else is wrong bc no food or drink is staying down so it’s killing me! So he sent hospice out, to help me die while I was at 73lbs. Found lumps in my neck, asked for ultrasound on my neck, tech found my gallbladder full of stones so my doc referred me to local gen. Surgeon who said I needed emergency surgery, but still had to wait for Covid-19 test by law, if I could survive a few more days without nourishment, so I said God will get me through is why it was found bc I asked Him to let me stay. He smiled, said he’s a man of God & would be praying with so was also sure then. Weighed 71 after outpatient surgery. Gained back up to 87 before I caught Covid-19, then back down to 78, then back up a little before flu, etc. Inner tremors burn more calories than I’m able to consume, so I try to help anyone anyway possible before I go home, as hospice comes to help with my showers & I grocery shop via InstaCart. My appetite is gone, but I eat. Vision interferes with grocery shopping, hospice is as short handed as everywhere else now. I worked so have Medicare instead of Medicaid, therefore no Aids to help me. If you are a working woman, take heed & store back money, or make other arrangements for retirement or healthcare in case of an emergency as I have had. A car wreck in 2000 set off arthritis in me that allowed me to return to work, but by 2005, no more lifting over 5 pounds. I planned to work until age 80 as a workaholic haha! Idk anything about you, your work life, health, insurance, relationship with God or if you are even a believer. I am not in any religion, but I am a follower of the teachings of Jesus Christ. He is my Savior so my relationship with Him is very important to me, so I highly recommend it, and I study the KJV Bible. But I don’t push my beliefs on anyone & have friends from different faiths, such as Muslim, Buddhist, Catholic, etc. My last boyfriend was Agnostic & I didn’t have a problem with us having different beliefs, but he did, so his inability to change me into what he wanted didn’t work out, not only in religion of course. THAT is not my secret life, isn’t his either & shouldn’t be, but we shouldn’t be looking for someone to change in a relationship. Hopefully he will figure that out, but I understand why he’s divorced 4 times. I was married once in my teens, my ex & I are friends now, but I never remarried bc I was married to my job. I have not left a short comment to you! LOVE Leonard Cohen’s music & bought his last album, but unfortunately it was through iTunes. It somehow disappeared when he passed away, but it’s available on his RU-vid channel, so no big deal. We can still enjoy his music. 🎶 Thank you for your time. Ohhhhh! Thank you for sharing your life, painful though it be. I am much older than you and I don't have Parkinson's, but as a woman I can relate to much of the wisdom you have found and now shared. I hope that you are still with us, but if you aren't I understand. Take care, wherever you are. ❤
