The flash has gone so down hill it’s not even watchable for me now

Everyone on the show is so miserable, remember when Barry and Cisco used to smile and have fun. I feel like all the soul was slowly taken out of the show. It's a shame.

Can we talk about how Cecile literally HAD A BABY and that baby was thrown away without even a mention expect for one line from Cecile in season 7

Biggest problem with the Flash: zero real consequences for anything! And this season has been a giant filler episode! No actual plot. No suspense. No villain. Just filler.

Thanks for this; Killer Frost is almost no longer distinct from Cait, even the voice. But KF hasn't really been redeemed. First, KF never apologized to Iris, Cisco, or Cecile. KF never took responsibility for being an accessory to the murder of HR Wells. KF worked in human trafficking (modern-day slavery), but never got charged for it. She lied by telling Ralph that all she did was "kidnap and stab" her friends. KF was harbored from justice for three years by Team Flash, which includes two officers of the law. And I agree that Joe West shouldn't have spoke in support of the woman who actively tried to help murder his own daughter! Like how?! But then Joe is written like he doesn't care about his own children - Iris, Wally, or, invisible, Jenna. Killer Karen is right because then KF takes the easy way out of a life prison sentence for "good behavior" for one act after only two weeks? If her "good behavior" in the previous years didn't keep her from prison, why would one act release her from prison? Have you noticed that none of the white female villains ever apologize to the POCs, especially Iris? Chillblaine is a murderer, but he's now out of prison. Talk about white justice. The terrible lesson that kids are learning from this show will probably get some POC killed one day. The lesson is that if you are white, you can get out prison with one "good" act and you won't be punished long term for crime, especially crimes against POC. BTW, I don't know if you know that CW told the various shows to do episodes about police corruption or injustice in honor of the George Floyd protests last year. KF's plot with "bad cop" Kramer was the Flash's attempt to depict police corruption and injustice Yep, that's right - a guilty, white woman who had been coddled for years was a stand-in for the at-risk POCs who were/are victims of police corruption and injustice. Like you, I have skipped more episodes in season 7 than I ever before. I had only missed one episode in all the previous seasons. It's just exhausting watching the garbage these writers are allowed to do. And I say "allowed" because the showrunner allows this garbage.

They lost me after never addressing how they imprison the bad guys in their lab without trial. They're somebody children, brother, friend but Team Flash just disappears them never to be seen again. Do they get parole or let out when they feel like it?

My friend and I used to play The Flash bingo with new episodes. It was loads of fun and we had tons of flash-isms such as: - Joe pulls his gun out against much more powerful meta - failure on first encounter with villain - Iris pretends to be useful

Finally someone is saying it. This show lost all of its creative energy. The Flash TV show felt like a movie season 1-2. They destroyed it with all of the variation of the Wells. The overly sappy energy....you get speed, she gets speed, he gets speed.🥱 We're all speedsters💩 The show is really a **** show at this point. Just cancel it already. 😑🤢

I’m watching s07 ep11 as i type this comment....i will say this right here and now that this will be my lasy episode of the flash, sad but it has to happen. I mean this used to be one of my favourite shows. The villains in these newer seasons are BORING to say the least, tbh the first three seasons were the best but from there it went downhill🙆🏽‍♂️. Shit i wish it didn’t have to be this way🤦🏽‍♂️

The way they portray Barry's character is the reason I wanted to stop watching in the first place. Why is he so dependent on the team? The motivational speeches and killing off good characters (HR, Harry, etc.), among other things, makes it somewhat unwatchable. Idk what it is but the vibe of the show (for me) became a little off somewhere between the end of s3 and s4

My favorite super hero is the flash, and I still can’t stop watching the show even though it’s literally the worst show... but it’s getting ridiculous every season is a downward spiral of terrible writing, and the power of friendship. We really just need flash to be the focus and let loose with his powers. I totally agree with you smh... what a waste of of a character to be given to these shitty writers and show producers. I just want to see some awesome comic flash shit.

Dude this show sucks now. Season 4 was the last good season. Season 5 wasn’t good but it’s been way better than 6 and 7. Straight garbage. The crying, prep talks, and iris ruin the show.

Danielle Panabaker does not have the range and they shouldn’t have gone there with Killer Frost knowing she can’t pull it off. She’s been the worst part of the show since season 4 and was downright offensive season 7

It’s so weird that the characters in Arrow are allowed to grow and evolve throughout the entire show (sometimes in bad ways, but whatever). But in the Flash there have been 7 frickin seasons and it still feels like I’m watching Barry learning to run.

loved most of you thoughts. my thoughts: 1. I dont necessary have a problem with team flash helping. My problem is team flash including iris downplays or undermine barrys decisions. Barry is the leader, so his decisions should be followed. But instead we either have iris telling him his plans/decision is wrong or team flash arguing with barry. Thats the difference in arrow. Oliver gets help from the team but he alone makes the plans and decisions on what to do. 2. Yeah agree Where is CSI barry? Barry doing CSI work in his own lab first. Only go to star labs for worse case scenarios.. 3. Terrible villains. Yup. The power of love saves all hahaha. s5 villain nora?hahaha 4. This show is not like black lightning where race/color is important. The flash is all inclusive. Barry has killed meta humans as well in s1- s2. Iris shoot and killed a version of barry. In fairness barry should be in jail as well for messing up the timeline and changing peoples lives lol 5. Lets not forget s5 where iris/barry thought "Reverse flash" can be redeemed. Barry had the same thought for Snart. So killer frost getting redemption is not wrong. The issue was the whole split personality bullshit

Eobard was an amazing villain in s1. The Flash could've been 'So Much More' but they ruined him because well... CW. In fact, The Flash is probably the show with the most wasted potential ever. Such a shame. Also your Idea about a season of Barry vs. Joe would be top tier. This show should've been written by the writers of Netflix's Daredevil

It's a really big problem with the CW's formula they think it works because of all the fans who are like "OMG ANOTHER SNOWBARRY MOMENT WOOOOW" which is pretty dumb barry could handle a season on his own and i definitely think Grant Gustin could do it aswell. The most interesting part of the show with Caitlyn/ frost was when Savitar was in it And she was slowly becoming frost with even growing to hate Barry Do you know how cool it is for an old friend like her to become a permanent villain for Barry that would causes so much tension It’s what made slade vs Oliver in arrow season 2 so cool the fact that their was a brotherhood but now one of them hates the other with immense passion I loved seeing Caitlyn/ Frost hate Barry for like 2 episodes lol

OMG LOL I totally agree with you 100%. I really loved seasons 1-3 because of the story and villains but after that, it was a big yikes (especially 6) but honestly, season 7 might be the worst one yet LMAO. It really is cringe and hard to watch and it makes me sad because I loved the flash so much

Honestly I’m surprised people are just now seeing this. I watched this show when I was younger when it came out and I thought it was terrible right off the bat. I knew it would only get worse

I think these last 2 seasons have one major problem, the lack of a major story arc. In Season one we had to beat reverse flash, then zoom in season two, then savitar in season three, and then Devoe in season 4. (I refuse to acknowledge season 5😂) All of the story, all the episodes, all the plotlines led to a proper end goal. Although Savitar and Devoe were badly executed, I at least appreciated a proper story to follow and having an end goal in mind that gives direction. These days it's "This happened, then that, then this, but oh wait let's resolve this, oh wait let's switch to this guy now I decided, nah let's head back here" and so on. Most plotlines are just kinda random and don't interconnect very well and most of the season just feels like filler.

I swear I didn't think it could get worse than season 4. Then 5 came and I thought the same. 6..7...it never ends. I've have never in my life seen a series get progressively worse the way this has. All they had to do was center the show around Barry and his family. Iris reporting, him fighting crime, them raising the twins around s4 or so. Wally sticking around and his rogues as well. Crisis not being about Oliver (because WTF???they built up Barry's disappearance for 6 years then made it a sidenote are you f***** serious?). God just...IDK what to say.

I think the problem of the show is they took the focus of of Barry when in the first few season the show followed Barry we used to see the crime lab and CCPD more now it’s just team star labs and team news paper or whatever it called its kinda sad I used to love this show at least we still have the first few seasons

Respectfully every show has it ups and downs. All the seasons of the flash were good it was just some moments that made it a bad season . I understand you want Barry to be the main character and not so many Epsiodes without him in it. But you have to take in consideration that it’s what the CW decides and what they can use in a 45 minute time Frame

Edit: I know you're probably gonna get hate for this and it's honestly impossible to avoid after how the writers have divided and reduced the fandom into just West-Allen stans and Snow-Barry stans, these people don't even want Barry to function as the primary, individual, extremely powerful character that he's supposed to be.

I just saw 7x18 and I had to come back to this video because not only are all your points ringing true, THE DIALOGUE HAS GOTTEN SO MUCH WORSE. "Flash! That was nuts! You do like to party!" - this is our great villain? A guy who talks like a nerdy 90's kid trying to pick up the popular group's slang? "Save it, Thawne, you're only back because of us." "In exchange for helping you take down a psychopath." - exposition much? It's so on the nose, to the point where either their foreshadowing was subpar, or they think we, their audience, are supremely stupid. "Working with your worst enemy to defeat me." - do they actually think we're idiots? WE CAN SEE, IT'S HAPPENING RIGHT THERE ON SCREEN WE DON'T NEED THEM TO STATE IT. The lightsabers, oh my god, what is this? A low budget star wars with Speedsters instead of Jedi's? This show is a living nightmare.

The problem with the show is that they keep making Barry get beat up all the time like they should focus on the main story more. Like literally they should make flash look powerful he shouldn’t struggle with normal metas. That’s the biggest main problem and then Joe prepares a prep talk all the time saying you can do this and then iris says some bullshit by saying we’re the flash.

It makes sense for Barry not to be the smartest in the room. My idea of science is that its a collaborative effort. Science is like one giant relay race full of fat kids who give it their all and Usain Bolts, Teslas and Edisons, or Steven Hawkings and *insert any politician or political organization.* Everyone's abilities can vary. For example, in Marvel, Reed is one of the smartest characters in the universe but if I wanted to build a hyper intelligent yet subservient robot I call Tony Stark. However, you are right that Barry has very few instances to show his intelligence. What has Barry built that has a tangible effect on Star Labs? Now, I'll play devils advocate and pretend Barry's intellect only extends to forensics, but how come he knows so little about the Speedforce. Where's his curiosity when it comes to it? Wally knows more about the Speedforce than Barry. Barry spent time inside it, had it first, and had 3 different mentors teaching him about it. Yet when its time to get out of the Speedforce, Cisco pulls it off.

Flashpoint should have been the perfect opportunity to get rid of everyone who was useless (Cisco,wells and Caitlin) and have Barry be a hero on his own. Cuz let’s be honest after season 2 there is no reason why he shouldn’t be able to do things in his own. As for Iris I like the actress and I liked her seasons 1 and 2 but after that whole “we are the flash” bullshit she tried to pull I just gave up on her character along with the rest of the show

Heres how it should've been. Scrap Star Labs entirely, or just make it something that comes up occasionally as something for the reverse flash to hide behind, and have people like vibe and killer frost show up like twice a season. Basically the flash goes solo. Then have the only recurring characters, like the ones that show up every episode, be people like joe and iris, and just have it focus on family and stuff. It would be cheaper for them too because less actors are needed to show up every episode.
