When doing x^6-1=0 (X^3+1)=0 (x^3-1)=0 With left side x=3 root -1 that = -1 cause it’s root of an odd number. This still make it +-i? As for the right x=3 root 1 equals +- 1 Just trying different problem higher exponent and see if on right page.

X^4=1 so x=1. Or -1. More a logic problem than a math problem

x^4=1 so x=1,-1,i,-i but I thought that -i was null.

2:06 - 2x squared = 8 is a quadratic? I didn't know that. Where is b?

i'm no expert, and haven't taken any algebra courses in 30+ years, but I would think "b" in this case would be an implied 0.

Why so complicated? If x^4 - 1 ≈ 0, then x^4 = 1, so x = +/- 1. There's no other real solution.
