You can not absolutely beat having kids in the outdoors love it. You not worried about the rain coming in this weekend and spoiling seed week out from shoot.
Having a burn permit has nothing to do with your liability. It just means that you won't be charged for illegal burning. If the fire gets away you're still on the hook for all damages.
Thanks for the feedback. Point of the comment is that it lessens your liability, not removes it. The first thing the opposing counsel would say is that I broke the law not having a permit which is black and white. By removing that from the equation, they have to then prove negligence. That is what I was told by the local volunteer Fire Chief. Hopefully it never comes to that!
About to upload a video on the process. Yes you can bushhog it and then burn it or just burn if it is dry enough. We try to burn second weekend in August. Stay on the lookout for an upload today or tomorrow
Good stuff bud. We’ve had that swirling wind before and it sucks. We started bringing leaf blowers and making our own wind. We will be burning Saturday. Can’t wait. Little over a week away!!
Good job as always!! I worked on my field today. I sprayed some sections a week ago and it was all nice and brown. The spraying was for the crabgrass. I mowed all of that today and what still had green in it I sprayed today. My mix is hot and it has it bone dry and brown in 7 days. I may be able to burn what's left, but the lawn mower trick works great moving that thatch around. We're supposed to get rain Monday through Thursday next week. I'm wondering how that is going to effect the field being all millet.
I used one three years ago and it worked great. Problem was, it used a lot of fuel to keep the fire going when it was more green. No more than I burn, I just found the torch easier. I need to get an adapter so I can use a smaller tank. Thanks!
