Let Me Show You How To Swap Out A Stock C7 Corvette Stingray Grill For A Z06 Front Bumper Grill.

Today, we jump back to work on the C7 Corvette Stingray. We will swap out a stock, ugly front bumper grill for a Z06 Carbon Flash Grill. The Z06 grille was designed to provide maximum airflow to the radiator and brake cooling duct. This resulted in a front-end airflow increase of 17% (based on CFD analysis) when compared to the base Stingray grille. Additionally, the inlet ramps to the brake cooling ducts were optimized to balance the airflow demands of brake cooling and engine cooling.

Grill is sold painted in a Black Metallic. Available with a camera provision, simply unbolt the OEM camera from your Stingray and reinstall on the Z06 grill.
Camera is plug and play for Camera optioned C7's.

Garage queen...or daily driver. Do you know your ride inside and out? Could you tear it down to the last nut and bolt? I believe you should. :)

Apex Detail I have my garage queen over the years. You name it I’ve replaced or repaired it. Cussing so much it would make a sailor blush and enough busted hands and knuckles for a lifetime, and would do it all over again because my dad and I love my car.

My Camaro SS is a covered queen 😁I can possibly tear it down and this day and age RU-vid is a lifesaver for that. You just need patience and some common sense.✊

Is this your c7? I have a c6 grand sport.... I will have to email you what we're doing to it! I think you should get a z06 style wickerbill. Would really set the car off! I actually really want a c7 style wickerbill (they call them c6.5 spoilers I believe). And then maybe just a bit of boost

This is next of my list of mods. Not only looks better but flows more air into the radiator and feeds the brake ducts. Pretty low cost mod too since these sell for $100.

Great instructions. One comment is to make sure you put the clips that come with the new grill in to the old bumper or there will no place to catch the screws when you reinstall the bumper. If you miss that step, you will be taking the bumper off again which is not the most enjoyable thing to do.

How do you know exactly all the steps and exactly which bolts/screws to remove all the time? Its like you assembled your cars yourself and have it all recorded in your brain, its amazing.The C7 is looking real sharp!

I so badly want to do this mod to my C7 I just can’t bring myself to pull the bumper off my car. I even looked in to having a pro do it ,but 300.00 bucks just For the labor takes it out of my budget.. but it looks great on yours. Have you considered installing or blacking our the side marker lights?

I have a white C7 like yours and when I was looking to replace the front grill like you did I noticed that the paint on the bumper seemed a little duller that the paint on the rest of the car. I've had the car looked over for damage and it was cleared before I bought it as having not been in an accident, but the texture difference has me wondering. Just curious to know if you see that on the C7s also. Thanks for all the great content!
