thank you scott, i got home from golf the other day and my right side vent was gone, the three screws are still there, it came unbonded from the mounting tabs. hopefully it won't take to long to get another carbon fiber vent

I'm in Sacramento too! I want to do this job, but I always mess up on jobs like this. I ordered a cheap Z06 grill and I'm gonna try that and chase a rattle in the interior right behind the driver's head. Then maybe save up for the ZR1 vents. Thanks for posting! Edit. Okay I did the grill and ordered some vents. I hope I dont crack the fender.

I would use painters tape to protect the paint as you are prying the vent out.. Great video 😎

i saw the ZR1 bumper install and was truly impressed with the part and your patience. Then i happened to see this one and had been thinking about doing since i saw it down on another Stingray. This is so great to see the short cuts that are not risky and require some gymnastics. I was curious about the air flow you did not show the tubing or where the air goes into the fender. I would like to see and know the air is indeed going to improve the air flow thru the coolers. Thank You very much. I want to get more grunt on my 2014 Z51 A6. Going back and forth on options even trading up to a Z06. But I really like my current ride. Have you researched or thought about motor mods??? I has seen heads and cam, Superchargers, even a new truck crank and block for 402 cu in LT1 all versus trading up to a Z06. My 2014 has 9,000 miles. sad i know but i am leery to rip the motor out and do a full Monty engine build.

I wish I had the balls to do it. I waited 30 years to get my dream car , after a month of ownership I see some mods I’d like to do , but don’t have the nerve to do them .And how in the he’ll do you do that without dropping a bolt . I don’t think I’ve ever done a project on my Silverado without dropping a bolt. Lol great vid.

Im up in the air about these. I like them, but I really don't mind the stock ones. And you're missing one of the mods that you have installed on the car, not listed in the description. Because that Z06 front grille definitely isn't stock. I just got mine in, today. And some lady backed into my car, in the drive thru, so, my bumper is getting repainted, next week, Im going to see if the body shop will install this grille for me, since they're going to have the from bumper off, and apart for paint, anyway. Also, good to see that someone has a channel, that lives in the Sacramento area. I need to get linked up with you guys!! I have an Arctic White 2015 Z51 7M.

Hi Gregg, Yes you are right. I dont have that part listed. I put that part on the car before I started the channel and I bought it on Ebay so I dont have anywhere to direct you to it. The Body shop has to take the bumper off your car and remove your grill to be able to paint the bumper correctly so if you buy one before it goes to the shop they should not charge you anything to put it on. they fit on exactly the same with no modification at all. Lay some heavy cotton string to under/between the rubber window trim/gasket and pull gently to help place fender under gasket. No pushing.

There is glue that has it stuck. You will need to take a long razor knife carefully cut the glue without scratching the paint.

Did you ever consider modifying these vents so that it becomes operational vs only aesthetic? Thinking about doing the same but undecided.

Actually they are operational the duct work is there even in a Z51 because of the coolers in the back bumper.
