Adding a PON, in a 117 unit college housing complex. These customers are going from 250Mb\15Mb DOCSIS 40ms latency to 1Gb\300Mb GPON 8ms latency.
Doing some splicing in some light rain just coming back from vacation.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

you ever use the small multi port kits that fit 4 flat drops, nice and clean hidden in the gelpack.

I suspect that one got hit by a lawn mower or something it sure was making an annoying noise every like 3 minutes like a duck.

Thanks for watching just been a lot of boring days lately + the heat has been unreal so I'm typically just bitching the entire time.

I love how PON is so flexible in that you can put the optical splitter wherever in the cable plant it makes sense. Furthermore I love how you take advantage of that, unlike the telcos who insist on making everything the same everywhere, resulting in installs that sometimes don't make sense or which put big distribution boxes where they otherwise wouldn't be needed.

Very flexible at what point the split makes the most economical sense. This build allows premade cables to all customers but putting the split on the building. Very easy to install and maintain both.
