Hey guys! This week we get to take the 1959 Plymouth Fury for a drive after we fix a couple of things... Also: Myles gets a second try at driving his fantastic 1963 Pontiac home, and I get a chance to try out Mark's 1970 AMC Javelin! Never a dull moment, and a pretty hectic week!
We are very happy to announce our new "Dean's Greasy Flips" beer cozies! Get yours today, as they are a limited edition! Also: We just got in a new shipment of "Same Old Shit" coffee mugs, so get them while they last, haha!
Oh! I do not have a Telegram account or any bullshit contest going! Do not respond to any of these "contest winner" replies; they are a scam.
Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments!

The '59 Fury looks so comfortable just watching you drive it Scott. My father drove cars from the '30's up and said all the put-downs that you hear - tires screeching on turns, brakes fading, wandering all over the road, etc. is all exaggerated. If the cars are driven safely and properly, they were perfectly fine.

Great episode- loved all of it, especially Tom's reaction to the "Let's start some cars". 59 is truly just as gorgeous as the 60 man, I'm glad it was less work. Good stuff! The friends and the bantering and the celebration of an era that will not be repeated. We took it for granted fighting on the rear bench seats as kids with no seat belts, playing games in the car with all of that space. Standing on the seat at three pretending to be driving and taking the car out of park and rolling down the driveway just to get the broom on the butt. Those were the days. Driving forty miles to get groceries. 👍👍👍👍👍Five thumb salute. Glad the fires stayed at bay.

Always a treat to see an AMC - from this longtime AMC enthusiast. I still remember setting the choke to one notch lean. My '69 AMX has an Edelbrock 1405 with a hand choke. It also has a 140-mph speedometer. The blower motor control was a horizontal lever (on '67 and '68 Ambassadors, it was vertical). To turn it off, move it al the way to the left. AMCs also had fresh air vents on the kick panels. 3.15 and 3.54 axle ratios were popular on AMCs, they also had a 2.87 with automatics.

Scott, wonderful episode despite being produced literally under fire! Very happy to hear Laura's cabin transplant is safe along with her other structures! Scary times weatherwise! Myles' Poncho gave him the shaft but some lube, metaphorical baling wire and duct tape in the form of some new parts, got him home! It was great to hear that deepthroated MOPAR fire up in the mellow yellow Fury after a gas leak intervention and heater core removal. Thanks to Myles' shop-till-you-drop philosophy your loaner Chrysler wound up chock full of classic tires! Nice to see and hear the old Datsun roadster! FYI locks are only there to keep honest people honest! Mark's Javelin is an effing jaw dropper! It's a brand new 53 year old car! Not surprised it didn't need much to pass muster, WOW what a beauty! The second silky smooth Fury ride revealed its true character as did your Thursday ride and drive of your Citroen! Great week in spite of a smoky and sleepless night followed by a couple of smoked not-so universal joints! Cheers!

Last year about this time a lightning strike caught my little neck of the woods in southwest Nebraska ablaze. We had 60-80mph winds for well over a week, all day and all night they never slowed. Entire towns were being evacuated. It didn't take long and our volunteers needed relief. There were volunteer crews coming in from all across the country to offer mutual aid. Fire rigs from as far as Washington state and West Virginia were seen as well as Florida and Arizona. Everywhere you looked there were firefighters laid up trying to catch a nap in a safe spot before they had to go back out. Several homes were lost, thousands of cattle were lost and one local volunteer firefighter lost his life. My hats off to anyone who suits up to go fight a prairie fire, especially in those winds. It truly takes a special breed of individual to willingly go into harm's way. I'm truly happy that everything turned out ok up there for you all!! Keep up the good work!!

The show intro has been absolutely spectacular with the cars driving and the old background scenery! I'm wondering how do you get the miniature people who drives the cars around? After the fire scare I'm almost betting the next buy for Paul and Dan will probably be an old firetruck knowing them! And I wouldn't blame them one bit! Especially way out there and how big the country is and how resources can get spread thin if many people need fire and rescue help. Much ado and doings happening I see ! Thanks again guys!
