Would you fancy doing a video based around the various Dungeon Crawler/RPG games like Kingdom Death, Black Stone Fortress and Defiance? Comparing them in terms of barriers to entry, similarities in terms of the games themselves, key differences, and maybe a rating out of 10 overall?

Once I knew what was going on it was pretty straightforward. No more complicated than Blackstone Fortress.

Not sure if its because I've never played regular Infinity before, but this seems quite complicated. Especially the dice rolling part.

So the attacker rolls dice, and the defender rolls dice. The type (color) of dice and the number is noted on the card with little colored cubes. If you have 1 yellow cube and 1 black cube, you roll 1 yellow and 1 black dice. The dice face are either blank (nothing), or have icons on them. There is a strike icon (looks like a star kinda), a block icon (shield), and a special icon (exclamation point). Each strike is canceled by an opposing block. Specials do different things depending on the unit/weapons. So if I'm attacking and roll 3 strikes and a block, and they roll 2 blocks and a strike, I do 2 damage (since 3 strikes - 1 block = 2) and they do no damage back (since they got 1 strike and I got 1 block). Hope this makes sense!

@@jonathondaniels2127 I'm not sure how it plays out in Defiance, but in Infinity, the attacker usually has a pretty large advantage. Just not very many 100% safe options, there's always risk!

Thanks for the video. You activated Valkyrie different way from what I saw on OnTableTop video. There one hero needed to forfeit their action to activate Valkyrie instead. Which one is right?

Excellent video Ash. While I believe this could be a great intro to the Infinity Universe, my only question is this a one and done game? There does not seem to be a lot of commitment from Covus Belli for follow on expansions. For example, this is KS only unlike Aristeia! I feel like this will have limited replay-ability. There are about a dozen scenarios that take the story arc they have presented to a certain point but then what? While they have 11 double sided tiles, that is not really a lot compared to other dungeon crawl type of games. So, while I believe there is value in the KS if you are already into Infinity or want to get into Infinity (I believe you can make a few 300pt/500pt armies with what you have) as a product line it seems one and done so if you like the game I do not see it going beyond what is presented. While some people will okay with that, I believe others who were looking for a sci-fi dungeon crawler with future expansion will be disappointed.

Well; considering it uses Infinity models they can easily produce expansions that include existing assets from their line as well as introducing new ones. With such a rich pre-existing amount of material I doubt they will struggle to continue to expand the game. It all comes down to player interest though, so I suppose we'll see!

Will these minis/characters be usable in Infinity Skirmish? Never played Infinity, but if they can be utilized for two games/modes, win/win kickstarter IMHO. What would be needed to do so?

Yes they are usable, most of the enemies have existing profiles in Infinity already and the ones that do not yet have profiles for Infinity will get them. Profiles for the Heroes to be usable in Infinity have been unlocked and shown on the Kickstarter already, so the minis are100% compatible to Infinity because that is what Corvus Belli wanted.

Corvus Belli make lovely stuff but they left a sour taste in my mouth when the Red Veil box I bought came missing models which lead me to a weird replacement system that I couldn't use

Replacement system of CB worked great for me so far. What's difficult in describing what's missing and adding some of those "codes" (or product IDs) ?o0
