In Honkai Star rail 2.1, Acheron is the latest character to be released and she is absolutely powerful, or is she. You see without a doubt Acheron is currently one of the best DPS characters in honkai star rail, the problem is that she needs quite a few things to be able to unleash her full potential. So in this video I want to talk about Acheron, her pros and cons and whether or not you should consider summoning for her
Truth be told this video is coming out a bit later than I would have liked but on the other hand it gives me a reason to talk about her. So it back, dont take anything too seriously and lets see whether Acheron is a worthy addition to your account
This video is mostly a discussion on the character design of honkai star rail and its meant to just openly talk about Acheron so take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a jumping off point for discussing honkai star rail

The mook murdering Talent is a godsend for new players already. It makes the maps easier for them to traverse even without powerful or synergized teams built for those maps. I remember being so afraid of Space China when I first got there and ACCIDENTALLY upped my Equilibrium to make my then-70s have a hard time, especially that big robot. So annoying, that. With Acheron, it allows newbies imo to have an easier time with the content without having to spend so much time grinding for the mats to bring their lineups to par, especially those who just want to experience the main story.

I pulled her E2S1 for the same reason I pulled C2 Raiden Shogun on her first banner. My experience with Honkai Impact is the only reason I play Mihoyo games at all.

@@alexanderluna4598 Raiden is in no way evil and Acheron is EXTREMELY dangerous. They are similar in the sense that Raiden was the first Archon that felt powerful enough to end your journey and Acheron feels strong enough to sink everything into naught.

i've done 1 million in MoC a few times now, and 16 million in SU i think she's great for new and f2p players due to her ult ignoring weaknesses, you can use her against every MoC and PF, not worrying about the weakness types (and also not pulling a dps for every weakness type down the road.

Thought this is going to be about lore discussion at first lol. But anyways, every players imo should always pull for the character that they actually like to use rather than anything. Idk about you but Acheron’s identity being Emanator of Nihility is enough for me to fully go for her (and it’s all worth it at the end for me!)

Theory. You gotta do some inferring to understand it though Acheron is actually an emanator that should exist, IX would be “literal nothing” if IX is the personification of nihilism.”” So ‘gazing is actually possible That mean IX is one of the other interpretations of nihilism hence why its called nihility instead and not straight up nihilism. We cant take the direct source as a fact since every thing we know isn’t complete(like how we dont know all the emanators that exist. We know what the ipc theorizes.) Or Acheron was like an emanator of a different path and met IX which is why she could survive getting close enough to IX to then be converted to nihility, this could also why she was calls herself a void ranger(which follows the path of the hunt) she used be an emanator of the hunt that stumbled upon IX but this one needs more confirmation so that the timeline adds up with being target by boothill

@@Placerhold Nothing about her lore actually suggested that she got gazed by Lan or actually following them back when she is in Izumo tho. Hoyoverse also had give us enough descriptions/videos/voice lines which are linked only IX to Acheron’s background, it’s really doesn’t matter if Nihility is just one of interpretations of nihilism imo since it is still part of the whole philosophy anyway.

You can use acheron optimally even as a new player. Pela is on the banner, You can choose gui as the 4 star selector And you can use even fermata as lc. Its not as good as sig lc but it is definitely usable even with 0 cycles.

Kiana will never get an Expy because she isn't a synthetic vessel created by Otto for Sirin. No Otto = No Kiana. We will most likely be getting Kevin since his VA narrated Acheron's Myriad Trailer.

@@nothmm8582 but Acherons trailer hints to Kiana though even in her teaser when talking abt origin and end plus Acheron is clearly looking for someone and Genshin has Paimon as a exp of Kiana and the unknown god a exp of herrscher of void so what your saying doesn’t make sense since Kiana is hoyos fav character and wouldn’t miss the opportunity to make her playable in other games as well

I was able to get so much further in the game because Acheron doesn't fight for my vital harmony characters. I run MC, Welt, Pela, and Acheron. I wasn't using any of these characters and it gave so much flexibility to my other teams. Also her overworld technique makes killing trash mobs so convenient, and you can very efficiently farm EXP in the overworld with her as well if you are that type of player.

got e2 s1 as a f2p and she is completely making all my other dps looks weak. To be fair tho she is the most expensive unit I have ever pulled. Used up all my undying star that I have saved up since I started playing during seele rerun. 220 or 230 pulls in total I believe.

I have a question that i couldn't find answer to anywhere. What is the power of acheron exactly. We know she is an eminator of nihility, and has "naught" but what powers does these grant to a person?

I just can't understand her powers unlike other characters. Ex: Blade has immortality, kafka has her spirit whisper, sparkle has illusions... But if someone asks me, "What is acheron's power?" I can't seem to find a definitive answer

E4S2. Luckiest I've ever been with pulls in any gacha game ever. I'm tempted to go for E6 but I want to save the pulls I have left for the future. Maybe Diamond or Jade, I dunno yet.

Personally, I'd say just pull for who you want. There is satisfaction for all types of players successfully building a character and team comp, regardless of difficulty. I've been lucky enough to have won every character and lightcone banner I've pulled on, that being: HuoHuo lightcone (I was dumb as I was meant to pull for character but scrolled too far down), Jingliu, Kafka, Acheron, Acheron lightcone. I play PS5 so I'm also fairly new. Along with all of these I got Bailu, Clara lightcone, Yanqing. And have every 4 star so far. It's also worth noting I am fully F2P as well. And so far my Acheron is doing 100k damage with just focussing on main stats on relics, Lvl 80 lightcone and character, most things levelled up max and then ultimate/talents/skill etc is level 6+ It is possible and the satisfaction I have received from being able to do all this in one day with only needing to go into about 400 reserves is like.. very highly satisfying. Long story short, pull for who you want because then you will have the drive and motivation to make them work and to build them.

Imma be honest: I’m very mixed on Acheron. I got her since I need a good lightning dps, and so far, she’s pretty good, and feels similar to Jingliu in dmg. But besides the instant kill on technique, u probably shouldn’t go for her, since 1. Her dmg is similar/equal to that of a sparkle DHIL team can output, or a Jingliu team, so don’t be stressed if you don’t have here (ironically this is when she’s paired with sparkle.) and 2. It’s very nihility-heavy, so if you don’t have a lot of nihility (or just good nihility debuffers.) you just going to spend a lot for the investment. If the points above doesn’t apply to you, then it’s fine to pull, since she’s like I said before, really good, especially with sparkle, and pela, so if u just need pure dmg, that’s a fine reason to pull. I lost all my jades going for broke XD, I have good pity at least, but besides that, I really wanted e4 pela ;-; In the end, it’s up to whoever is reading this to decide the fate of you account. Personally, I haven’t maxed her out yet, so I’m probably going to spend a bit to upgrade her relics :/, and if u also did the same, your going to have to farm for a bit (lucky enough tho, cosmology gives so many upgrade mats, which is good.)

cant rly compare acheron to any other dps. acheron enables you to make unique comps, whereas dhil for example is basically restricted to hyper carry comp.. with acheron you can go double or triple nihility probably also hyper carry depending on what you prefer. it motivates and encourages you to build other units. which is good for the game on the long run. for example is enemy weak to ice? go pela/acheron/geppy weak to imaginary? run welt wind? sampo/black swan or you can run silverwolf. i personally really like the versatility and would recommend anyone to pull for her if you can.

Acheron has some wild high-danage team comps though. Like her with Kafka + Black Swan and a support give you so much damage both for Acheron and the usual BS/Kafka stuff. Then there's Pela + Welt for debuffs and speed, and a bunch of other Nihility characters

@@saigonoryuu3101 I mean yeah, but the point was not to stress about dmg: Her dmg is similar to DHIL and Jingliu’s dmg over the same turn-span, with her eidolons making her more broken over time. Sure she is another way for people to play, but the point was to give people who didn’t want to pull a comp-out in case they don’t have enough jades :/ Also the nihility thing is also good, but the problem is that if u do that, u lose dmg on Acheron, who is is main dmg dealer in most teams, and has to be so that she can get stacks, sure you can play for when you need it, but you can also say that about any other comp. (Acheron is more of a detachable blade you can use compared to Jingliu and DHIL who are strong-edges, where she can be attached to a strong hilt and be good, while Jingliu and DHIL just need more firepower behind their swings to be viable.) I get where your coming from, but we also need to not pressure the ppl who don’t have jades to spend everything and not have enough for later..

Such a bad take. 'Acheron needs her Light Cone, resources, relics, etc.' so she is not fit for beginners. This is totally wrong. I transferred all relics from Dr.Ratio to her. She uses ultimate and deals 120k damage without a single level in Trace. 250-300k when I have her traces to level 8. And I have not farmed her relics yet. Other RU-vidrs also showed that Good Night Sleep Well S5 outperforms her signature LC, and S5 Fermanta is incredibly good as well. This is just gaslighting.

It's the most restrict character in the game, and the restrictions solution are pull for characters and weapons. That's not good for f2p players.

@@cleod7439 she's restricted to characters of a specific path, of which they have literally given out sampo last patch if you don't have his cons maxed, and you should have at least one more at some point. you could even use the selector from the current event to get another. and weapon wise... people have shown you can one cycle with acheron with the free to play 4 star lightcone, and 2, 4 star nihility characters that don't even buff or debuff. its good for f2p because she basically takes care of all the buffs she needs or her end, and opens up every other character and buffer you could need for the other half of MoC or pure fiction. she's the MOST f2p friendly dps in the game, even more then dr ratio who was free, cause the investment required to make acheron good is just her, you don't also need to build the 3 other characters/buffers to also have crazy stats, she can buff her self as long as two other characters share her path.

Actually my opinion is more that its not that great for super new players rather than F2P, if youre F2P but have all the stuff ready for her and maybe saved up some tickets then shed still perform phenomenally.

My thought process on pulling was that Since I didn’t have GNSW and was interested in getting her after the story, I would see if I won the 50/50 or not. If I did, I’d pull on the weapon banner since GNSW was on there in case I lost the 75/25. If I lost, I’d skip for Jingliu. Fortunately, I won both, but I’m pretty scared since I’m bound to lose the 50/50 soon and I want characters like Robin, and especially Sam.
