I'm just going to 100% every region and give myself a participatory platinum trophy. I don't have the time for all of that other stuff. lol

Johnnys Seaside trophy literally triples the time needed to plat. It’s insane.

Remake plat was hard, but fair. Rebirth is, well, fuck that..."Do I really want to do this?" kinda vibe. Edit: I did get the plat for Rebirth.

Might just be me but the way they designed the journey to Platinum for Rebirth really kills the fun on the game. I did Remake platinum and it was much much better than this. I dont mind putting in the hours for Platinum but I wanna enjoy the journey. This is more journey to lose your sanity and journey to hate the game and burnout. This is just my 2 cents though. Outside the platinum journey, game is amazing and love it

Just got the plat today. Hard Mode was a breeze after finishing all the combat challenges. Only thing that was annoying was unskippable cutscenes and having to constantly change Materia. I hope that part 3 includes a feature to save Materia loadouts for each character.

This makes me glad I'm not a platinum hunter. I'm getting older and I honestly even playing easy/normal on some fights is insanely intense. Kudos to the ones who go for it and get it, but I know it won't be me! LOVING the game though. It's so gorgeous.

Just received my Götterdämmerung yesterday. I will say, I watched another youtubers video/used their strat. You turn Aerith into a spell cannon. Have Yuffie spam Brumal Form in an ATB Ward (she needs haste; spell cast or Hermes Shoes). Aerith double casts with Arcane Ward and the third party member casts prayer/barrier/faith/etc... as needed. Genji Gloves, MP absorb and Magic Focus for sustain/damage. I was seeing 35k crits at times.

What helped me with the virutal seph fight was when i started to parry his shadowy chain move. Once I started doing that I was quickly able to beat him especially since his second form goes into an elemental spam which has potential to heal you if he hits you with firaga. Barrett with his MP regeneration perk for his one weapon really helped me too. You basically get free MP when you get hit hard and he was never low on MP during my run except until the very end because of that. On my video things get a bit dicey near the end but all in all it was a really good run Best of luck to you!

I love ff7, but after doing all intel, mastering all mini games, doing all side quests, all vr challenges except brutal and legendary, and more than 100 hours...I realized by chapter 4 of my hard playthough that I was really tired. This game really burned me up.

Hey @GenesisVII, I just saw a sort of "cheese" strat on RU-vid. I just managed to get rulers of the outer worlds. Hopefully you already have it at this point, but just in case, I'll throw some advice, maybe others will read is as well. So the core of the strategy are Yuffie and Aerith. Third slot is not as important, but I used Barret. The idea is have Aerith cast ATB ward just as the fight starts, then just use Yuffie Umbral Form non-stop inside of it. For some reason, this combination just generates a ton of ATB for both Aerith and your third unit. And I mean a lot of it. Then as soon as you start umbral forming, you wanna cast Arcane Ward with Aerith and start spamming Elemental Magic. Kjata -> Aeroga Fenix -> Blizzaga Titan -> Aeroga Bahamut Arisen -> Thundaga Odin -> Firaga Alexander -> Thundaga Gilgamesh -> Firaga Sephiroth -> Firaga until second phase. Then adapt. As for the builds: Yuffie with: crescent sickle - hades armlet - hermes shoes Weapon: HP Up, MP Up, Speed Up, Vitality Up, Precision Defense (you'll need for Sephiroth) Armor: Elemental + Fire, Magnify + Barrier, Healing, Revival, ATB Boost (even if you think you don't remember about it) summon: Bahamut Arisen weapon skills: Opening ATB Bonus, ATB Charge Up, Atk Power, Atk Power (you can also switch the second 2) Aerith: Plumrose - Cetran Armlet - Genji Gloves Weapon: MP Absorb + Fire&Ice, MP Absorb + Lightning&Wind, Luck Up, Luck Up (for the insane crits) Armor: Elemental + Fire, Steadfast Block, First Strike, ATB Assist, HP Up, Magic Up, ATB Boost (same as before) summon: Phoenix weapon skills: Max HP, Enduring Ward, Ward Shift, Enhanced Magic Guard Barret: Barrage Blaster - Cetran Bracer - Enhanced Draconic Ring (you can switch this) Weapon: Steadfast Block, HP Up, Cleansing (for frog scenarios versus Gilgamesh), Revival, Prayer, Chakra Armor: Elemental + Fire, Magnify + Time, Magnify + Barrier, Magic Efficiency + Reraise summon: Alexander for extra bulkiness Weapon Skills: Enhanced Physical Guard, Trade-off, Selfish Buff Up, Selfish Recovery +25% (as I mentioned, use anyone you like in the third slot. Lifesaver Barret was the pick for me since I suck at parrying. You can use Tifa if you feel more confident. She'll bring a lot more damage, or even Cloud with Expeditionary Medal and Limit Siphon to abuse his 3rd limit) The loop goes like: You control Yuffie. As the fight starts, immediately run opposite to where Aerith is and have her cast ATB Ward. This way she usually isnt cancelled out of it. Then come back with Yuffie and start spamming Umbral Form inside the ward. You'll have 2 ATB charges in no time with everyone. Have Barret cast Lifesaver, then Barrier, have Aerith cast Arcane Ward and start the Magic Spam. As soon as you can have Barret cast Haste. Remember to recast these as needed. Don't ever let Yuffie be without Haste. I have her with Hermes Shoes to be able to start spamming Umbral Form from the very start. Barret will usually have a full ATB, Aerith needs to use it as soon as she maxes it out to cast the AGA spell of the moment. The strat only changes for Sephiroth. You want to try to perfect parry his first attack versus Yuffie and cast Protect with her. Then he'll immediately chain Barret, if at this point you manage to create enough ATB, have Aerith cast Arcane Ward and double Firaga. This will stun Sephi and you can start the loop. You will need your ATB Boost for sure at this point. Try to loop Sephiroth till he reaches the second Phase. If he manages to capture all of the characters it's not over yet. You will need to parry at least the following shadowy chain coming at you. in the meanwhile have barret cast Lifesaver. Took me like 10 attempts. The first 4 fights are extremely consistent as soon as you get the hang of it. The Sephi part is a little trickier, especially if you (like me) suck at parrying. Keep at it. You'll eventually get it. As soon as you get to the second phase, he'll switch element to Fire and start spamming Firaga. So just use Blizzaga. You'll destroy him in no time. I found this strat to be much much better than strenght Tifa or Limit Siphon strats. The first one cause I suck. The second took way too much time to pull off, and I was usually dead way before that. Cause I suck... Anyways... onto the legendary bounts now... Wish me luck.

I told myself that I was determined to earn this Platinum Trophy as soon as I got the game into my hands. The Brutal combat simulations were so stressful that I got massive migraines trying to complete them all. The last one took me about 10 hours across 2 days of effort to finally beat... As soon as I saw this video pop up in my recommendations I already knew what you were going to be talking about lol There are a variety of strategies out there to defeat the final Brutal challenge, but the build I developed around the Tifa Divekick method suited my combat the most and was more favorable. Essentially build around your playstyle and preference for healing and/or reviving. The MOST important aspect to winning here is getting good at parrying. Parrying makes all the difference. There are times where both summons will attack you and it feels unfair, but it must be accepted in order to stay sane. Gilgamesh is very tough due to his status effects if you're not careful and Sephiroth's Shadowy Chains is particularly easier to parry if you've got decent distance from him. I recommend watching RU-vid videos from other players in order to understand the timing. Overall, I wish everyone the best of luck with defeating this Brutal challenge.

As much as I would love to go after the platinum for ff7 rebirth I won't because I don't want to stress myself out. I would rather get as many as I can and beat it. To everyone who is going after the Platinum or has gotten the Platinum good luck or good job. I just value my sanity and health more than a virtual item I can't hold.

As someone who has done almost every other FF plat including spinoffs, missing XIV ps5 ver. I still got a few more days before this one is done. been working on manuscrupts and have been trying to get materia up naturally without AP grinding it

I feel you on taking your time certain minigames alone made me throw in the towel on the platinum. Going to enjoy the hard mode run it’s tougher than remake for sure but fair.

The Piano mini game is probably going to be what makes me fail lol

Giglamesh fight was tricky but i found that once you have gotten used to his attacks (which most characters can dodge by dodging to the side), the most important thing to do at the start of the fight is immediately launch a firaga at him. It will pressure him. Throw another at him while he's staggered and after the stagger he will be pressured again. You can also do this against Odin, too. Hitting him with hard magic makes him pressure himself and Cloud can easily focus thrust him into stagger. Virtual Sephiroth... prescision defense materia on everyone for the earliest part of it. Purple Limit break boosting materia for 2 other characters is nice, too.

I plan to slowly get this over the next year. I got most things done, only things left are brutal and hard challeges, chapter 9 - 14 on hard, and 1 quest to redo in hardmode for the manuscript (the party master quest at gold saucer).

Loving the game so far, I just reached mythril mines and 18 hours in 😮, I got to ask bro are you going to be picking up the platinum series again after 7 Rebirth (i cant wait to see the ff12 one 😂) ?

I'm literally just following guides for the rest of the brutal VR missions, I do not have the patience to try every combination of materia for 10 rounds of a battle only to die and be told to do it all again lol

😳😂😂 5 solo vr missions. 3 hard mode vr missions and chapter 13/14 left to go. Going for that 3rd magnify tonight 👍🥳 glad to have the mini game shenanigans behind me and just some hard mode battles left to conquer

Rebirth is better than Remake in every way, EXCEPT the fact that it doesnt fix the issue that the Platinum is still far to difficult to get. Im all for a Platinum taking the Player Hours upon Hours of getting the Best Gear to become OP and then Steamrolling the Hardest Challenges, but the Minigames are ridiculous, Tedious, and should not be required(at least not the Best Scores). Then there is Hard Mode where i Love the idea, but due to them not having Gear to make us OP, its far more annoying then it should be. Why couldnt they make it like Crisis Core and make Hard Mode and give us something like Costly Punch and a Damage Break Item we could Grind for to make Hard Mode and the Simulator a Cake Walk, but it takes Tens of Hours to get? Im just venting, and after beating the Game ill try for the Platinum once Part 3 is announced, likely in early 2026 for a 2027 release if not Late 2026.

My biggest frustration was actually the fashion show, because I did all the work with the Johnny side. West got the biggest shell, but my wife came in the room and started talking to me during the dialogue and I accidentally chose the small shell versus the biggest shell and that’s the one mission I don’t have gold on yet lol so frustrating.

I gave up on the platinum the moment i saw that body builder cause i knew that stupid minigame was back. When that final side mission unlocked, i knew i made the right choice

Gilgamesh was my main hurdle. I came out victorious by sticking to my preferred party (cloud, Barret and Red) using mostly physical attacks and some lucky parrying. Firaga also helped.

I’m also in the process of trying to beat these hard mode vr challenges but I’m actually having fun, I always love a challenge in games so this is right up my alley, just gotta do hard and get like 3/4 more collectibles and I’ll be done.

I adored the story and playthrough. I'm doing Hard Mode now but if a trophy isn't fun I just don't bother with it anymore. I'm only getting older and things that I feel like waste my time aren't worth my time.

I think my biggest advice for Virtual Sephi is to ensure you have precision block on all your characters and it's maxed out. This will let you precision block shadowy chains. Note as well that you can only do this with the materia for Precision blocking at Max...didn't realize this and was trying to precision block it with only a 2 star materia.

Are you using Reraise (to grant auto-life)? That might help a lot for virtual Sephiroth. (Im not there yet though haha so no idea if that'd help or is too mp intensive). Could be paired with a maxed out MP Efficiency materia maybe, or a Magnify to put it on everyone (if that works)?

I always tell a friend of mine, a "rival fellow trophy hunter" if I might say, "Zod, these FF trophies want our souls, man!" 🤣

Currently on the brutal challenge before this one, only attempted once and got swallowed to death, but in the same situation where I’m grinding hard mode. One thing you could do is give Barrett the materia that transfers his limit to everyone else, it’ll let you use clouds and aeriths more often. You can even then take aeriths with limit siphon and just spam clouds limit (if you don’t need a heal or quick invincible)

Here’s a thing that helped me on the final simulator in remake when I finally got platinum I did what you said about tifa and her five kicks having a synergy on your teammate with medior or something else try to stun lock that way I’m not there yet but it might be worth a shot

I beat rulers of the outer World without the yuffie atb trick, using cloud, tifa and barret. I had to practice against odin alone in the VR first, to know better his moveset. With Gilgamesh (the hardest battle!), well unfortunately didn't have a save in the Island to practice. And he has so many techniques that is hard to memorize his moveset. So my strstegy was to write down in a notebook the details of every technique he uses. For example, name: radiant geyser,time window to block: moderate, description: kind of Ray that goes straight along the ground. Dodge to the side. With this information , I used Tactical mode (slow motion) that helped me to find a way to do a dodge or perfect block(having pressed block and pressing circle to get out of Tactical mode) . I attacked safely with fire magic after each enemy attack. I did it, after many attempts. Virtual sephiroth was a breeze after this, because his moveset is very limited, and easy to block using Tactical Mode.

I feel ya, bro! Have platinums on FFVII OG and Remake among other FFs. I am not far from where you are now. Just earned my level 70 trophy this week. Slugging my way through hard mode. I have all my yellow materia maxed, most of my green, working on my last blue, and a long way to go in purple. Johnny has his 5-star hotel. There is an old saying. It's fun until it isn't anymore. I am not looking forward to Cait Sith in Shinra Mansion, Rufus, or Sephiroth all on hard.

YES!! Rulers of the Outer World is so hard….. I’ve looked at a lot of strategies that people have on RU-vid, they *look* easy but they’re all high-execution strats that I really need to practice multiple times until I can get it down, so challenging! Tbh this is the hardest Plat I’ve ever gone for, and I have the SF6 and Last of Us Remastered Plats too, but this is seemingly hopeless, ha ha… Going to stick it out though! I hope you got it by now!

Cloud is a counter machine. Between perfect counters in punisher mode, counterstance, and counterfire you can solo rulers of the putter word with Cloud. Also don’t sleep on precision defense focus on Cloud. It works not only for perfect blocks but also for perfect counters.

Do you have any combat / build tips? I ask you because there's a bunch of suggestions out there but a lot of them aren't the most ideal lol....

You need quaga to get staggers and fill with atb support materia and limit boost, and then siphon and use your limit level 3 combo wombo. Makes it so easy.

Small tip regarding Divekick. You NEVER want to just use Divekick by itself. First, you need to have Divekick hot keyed so you will execute it at the first possible frame by spamming the hotkey. Then, you want to use Whirling Uppercut and while doing that animation spam Divekick. This essentially cuts off half the animation for Divekick since you are already in the air from the Uppercut, plus you get the extra damage and ATB generation from the uppercut.

Can you use Phoenix for the extra revive? I wanted to get Plat but man that's a ton of stuff to do. Good luck!

Bro Remake or Rebirth which games 100% thropies more hard ? I fulled Remake's trophies twice and it was a torture it takes my 168 hours.I am waiting Rebirth for pc and I will full trophie pls tell rebirth more easy.

Honestly for me the sheer amount of mini games pisses me off. I'm good with the combat system and I usually have no issues with the mini games, but it is too many mini games. If you made the FF7 Remake Platin then FF7 Rebirth shouldn't be a big issue. I suggest you use Cloud, Tifa and Yuffie and playing Yuffie alot because she can hit all elemental weaknesses without using any mp. She also dodges really really fast compared to the others.

This has been one very brutal road to the Platinum Trophy. The Bonds of Friendship Combat Sim was absurdly hard until I played it enough times to master all ten rounds. It must have taken me 25-30 attempts to finally beat it just to have to do it again with Sephiroth instead of Zack but that was much easier thankfully!!

I've beaten chapters 1-12 on hard mode and the only collectible for Johnny I need left is the combat simulator challenges. I feel like I got so far but what's left is so damn daunting 😵‍💫

I'm aiming for every Hard Manuscript before attempting those Brutal Challenges but they're scaring me. Only missing : Complete Hard Mode - 7 Star Johnny (Missing the same one you do) - All VR missions.

I only ever platinum my absolute favourite games and i absolutely adore this game but good lord this is long as hell. I'm at 57 out of 61 so haven't got much to do except hard mode, virtually renowned (which I'm currently going through) and johnny's treasures (got 87/88). I'm probably gonna take a break after doing the brutal and legendary vr missions and do hard mode after a nice long break because there's just so much content to do. Plus, there's no rush. I fully platinumed Remake october last year and didn't do all of Yuffie's DLC to 100% until December/January. I'm glad the minigame slog is over for me. I basically had to do them all because I decided to just scrape by with the minigames to move on the story

Trophies are just work, ive never understood them. Totally takes the fun out of a game for me. This is besides achievements with actual designed challenges other than "find all the documents in the whole game"

im missing the same trophies (plus 300% stagger) and, man, i stalled out on Brutal 4, i think. stomped in legendary 1 and ch 12 end boss. im stuck in place now. this is toooough

for sephiroth try using counterstance spam with cloud. along with ATB boosting materia and provoke. Counterstance will negate damage while doing decent damage and provoke will ensure you don't waste it.

Everybody has their own issues. The reason why I didn't bother finishing the platinum for remake was the pull-up mini game. I suspect the sit up one will be the reason I don't platinum this one.

I just finished the story. I'm at level 50. Once I grind to level 70, what should I do first? The VR Simulator or the game in Hard mode?

Im pretty close, apparently i got one more then this guy. Im at 57. Cactuar crush is what I've struggled on most. The combat, for me, isn't really to bad. But Cactuar Crush and 3d Brawler were a real pain, but ive already finished those, so im pretty confident ill platinum this game pretty soon. I know allot of people struggled on the final quest, but i thought it was mostly easy, especially because I'd already mastered all the mini-games by then.

Also practice parrying then the bind attack sephiroth does, legit does nothing but make sure to have the materia that's helps parrying is equip then just practice

I finished the combat sim stuff in remake before actually doing the hard playthrough. Having the Limit accessory made remake easier on hard mode. May need to try the same thing in rebirth.

Those 4 trophies are also the last ones I need for the Platinum. I am almost done with the combat simulator battles. I just need 3 more battles in the legendary section. The last brutal battle "rulers of the outer world" is ridiculous. Am I the only one who thinks they should have made the Platinum trophy easier to get?

Im just gonns platinum this since I am a big FF fan, I haven't had much time lately and I am at the Nibel Region. I thought by looking at th trophy description, the "haedest trophy" would be Johnny's treasures but boy was I wrong.

I thought the Weiss fight in FF7 Remake Intermission was hard. It took me 5 hours and I had to watch multiple RU-vid video's for help. The Rebirth Challenges are INSANE !!! Still love the game though, can't wait for part 3 FF7 REUNION...???

How difficult was it getting everything from all the minigames?

The agony I felt when I learned I had to go through Gears and Gambit on hard mode.

The hardest trophies for me are the super button smashers like the crunches and the mini games at Costa del sol

I haven't gotten the platinum trophy/prob won't get it. But the 2 things that gave me the most trouble was fighting odin, and beating that enemy skill mindblast skill mission where u can't kill the 2 smaller enemies before mindflayer. Playing on dynamic was rough for these. But finally beat em. I lost interest in the protorelic quests about halfway thru the game, but if I had known it unlocks all these new combat things I may have tried harder to stick with it lol

The champion sit up challenge requires you super fast and no single mistake. Tried for an hour no luck. Just leave it… 😅

I wouldn't exactly call getting platinum "tough" but more tedious. There's a LOOOOT to do. The minigames are the worst. However, 3 of the brutal/legendary matches were infurioriating. Luckily there are plenty of strats to help people get through them. Needless to say I finally got my platinum (plus the playlog completely filled out) on my 223:00:00 hour... yes it literally hit 223 hours on the dot when I saved at the end of Chp 14. In Remake I was able to get the playlog completely filled out on my 109 hour. So Rebirth wasn't playing around. When the 3rd game releases, personally I'd like to see less mini games. Even if we cut out 50% of those minigames, it will still feel fulfilling. Ease up a TAD on the legendary bouts. The Bond of Friendship one, to me was by far the worst one. Those are my only 2 suggestions for future game. For those still striving for platinum... be patient and don't be afraid to look up methods.. even the "cheesy" methods still present a challenge. I haven’t tried the brutal or legendary fights yet. And I’ve only done a few chapters on hard so far. But I’ve been using a strat I saw where someone beat that last brutal basically just spamming magic while using yuffie as a battery for atb. It’s really made hard mode seem easy so far. I know what I’ve done so far is easier than the that last brutal but they beat it in like 2:30 so it’s crazy strong. The don’t even let phoenix rez and sephiroth just gets juggled with firagas. It’s insane

Suffering at the combat simulator too right now lmao. Anyone know how to get Barret to true 9999 health? Im seeing it in the video here and I did his entire Folio and have the plus 500 HP accessory too. Also all the plus 200 HP weapon abilites but Im still at 9982. Idk what Im missing LOL. Edit: Nevermind its lifesaver I guess. Still dont know how you get actual max HP normally tho. Was pretty easy in remake

I just got the platinum and im not gonna lie, hardest platinum to date, the last two legendary combat sims are actually a joke, especially the 2nd to last (no spoilers ofc) also the final boss run is actually a very decent skill check. I don't wanna do that again, 145 hours all in!

VR challenges the only thing I have left for Plat and its been destroying me. story hardmode is really nothing compared to these VR battles

I did it before I did hard mode. You're right though Def don't stress over it. It's really hard. Personally I did this before legendary thinking legendary would be easier and it was but not by much. To me I think the hardest challenge is Zack and cloud in a gauntlet of 10 fights. Keep trying! Don't give up!

I haven't done the vr stuff on hard mode yet. Enjoyed the hell out of the game. But my resolve is the same as it was for remake lol To avoid rage, anxiety, and pain I quickly gave up on perfecting the body builder challenge in Wall Market, and didn't hang around long at the Corel gym either lol Fuck that button metronome shit 🤣 Respect to anyone who got through that and platinums

Would love to get the platinum, but its going to be a Brutal Slogfest. Beating all the mini games, getting all johnny's trophies, completing hard mode.... I've completed the story and have 43 out of the 61 Trophies. Just taking it 1 Challenge at a time. The Developers really went for the Extreme Challenge on this one....

By the time I get my platinum for this, part 3 and PS 6 will be released.

Already got everything except 4 chapters of hard mode and 3 simulator fights Wasn't too hard, but i am sad that i am nearly done with the game I hope they put more really difficult stuff in the next trophy list 😅

Yeah, I've kinda given up on most of the endgame stuff tbh. The fact that they require you to master all the annoying minigames , do a gazillion disgusting 10 rounds no continues vr gauntlets AND clear the entire game on Hard Mode just sucks to me. Especially considering they are gating the max level of weapons behind doing all that crap too, and the final party level behind doing all hard mode stupid minigames too... Honestly they should have made it so you finish the seaside trophy when you get 60/88, they should have given you a way to max your weapons and party rank without being forced to do hard mode content and they should have dropped the trophy to only completing the regular VR challenges. Also kinda feel this is pointless too since all that stuff is going to get discarded for part 3 yet again, so I'm just farming uber endgame stuff that serves no purpose than giving me a chance to tackle even harder content, which I can simply ignore... Honestly nothing sucks more than spending like 15-30 minutes in a combat simulation only to get it with a totally cheap round where your entire party gets turned to stone or oneshot from nowhere...

Does anyone know how to get the party level past 9? I beat the game done side quest i cant get past 9 any tips?
