Peachette is so ironically hilarious to me that I can’t be mad. I don’t have as severe hatred towards Pink Gold Peach as others for the same reason, that such a baffling pick was chosen over much better choices. As much as it would’ve been better if we got Dixie, King Bob-Omb, Nabbit, etc. I just find Peachette funny

Diddy, Funky & Pauline may have been predictable but you can’t deny the hype around those 3, they’ve been wanted by the fans so the hype is real with them, Peachette at the very least is gonna be generating memes and I’m here for it
Tbh I don’t mind Peachette’s inclusion as it was far more than we expected. Given as we were expecting only 2 characters and thought either Diddy or Funky were going to be sacrificed, the fact that we have 4, not even 3, even if one is a clone character, is amazing.
I’m really glad Daisy Circuit is in. It doesn’t even feel like a circuit (Why didn’t they just call it “Daisy’s Town”?), and it’s much different and more unique from any other circuit. Also one of each circuit in MK8DX is just really funny to me.
@hiilikepizza3197 Actually, Sarassaland isn't just desert. It has a kingdom called Muda, which is tropical themed with palm trees and hills that look identical to the ones in Daisy Circuit. So this is very well implied to be the Muda section of Sarassaland.
I was just hoping for ROB personally. Also Daisy circuit is an interesting course choice. Not sure if I like it yet. Seeing Funky was hype though and I’m not even that big of an MK Wii fan
I suppose I can't be too surprised that if they added more characters than we expected that Peachette was one... she had losing lines for some reason in Tour's files (Pauline too!) and it would be a waste of audio not to use them in the BCP.
Honestly complaining about peachette sounds like a spoiled child as we got two more characters than what we expected, I'd rather have peachette than nothing at all

Peachette being added is completely ok for me because she doesn’t take a spot away from any other character. What I think is happening is that Diddy and Pauline take the final two spots, and Peachette and Funky Kong will be alts for Peach and Donkey Kong. But if those two DO get their own character slots that means there’ll be a whole new column with 4 more empty spots, and personally there isn’t 5 more characters I need to be in the game. If there are 4 more spots give me King Bob-Omb, Nabbit, Dixie Kong, and ROB and it’s perfect.
I'm glad someone else also came to this same conclusion, it just makes sense Putting Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach with their base versions makes no sense because they have different stats, all the alts -except for the Miis- have the same stats as eachother Funky and Peachette are gonna be like BotW Link, it's the only solution that makes any sense If they are gonna add more characters in the future, why not pick one of the many better characters than Peachette, she is a dead giveaway that there's going to be alt costumes in this wave
@@KurtzyPan No they wont because BotW Link share the same voice as SWSD Link, so NO it wont make sense either because Funky is voice differently than DK and the same goes with Peachette.
@@courage1363 Putting variants with different stats together still makes less sense, and picking Peachette of all characters implies she is meant to be a Peach alt, if they wanted to have 4 distinct characters why not pick a more unique interesting character then?
Seems like those are the only 4 characters revealed. I hope that more bonus content will be added, like items, costumes... maybe more characters and courses? We'll see!
I think its actually scary how accurate Albert can be sometimes especially on the tracks that are mid lol. Mario Circuit anyone lol. Also i kept forgetting diddy wasn't in the game already. Everytime someone said it i thought hes already there lol
What's the problem with Peachette? We got an extra two characters than we thought we'd get. I also think we'll be getting 4 new Characters: King Bomb-ob, Hammer Bro, Nabbit and Dixie Kong because if they expand the Character Selection Screen to add Pauline and Peachette (NSMBU) then there will be an additional 4 slots. Monty Mole will likely be left out or switched for Hammer Bro.
After Moonview, It was kinda obvious that they would replace the second Gcn track (Mushroom Bridge). And because they put 2 Wii tracks in Wave 5, my thought was they will give the Wii tracks alot of love. Not only with Rainbow Road and now Daisy Circuit, But also DK Mountain probably (And Funky Kong). In my eyes it was a battle between Daisy Circuit and Dry Dry Ruins. So, Daisy Circuit isnt the one I was rooting for, I wanted Dry Dry Ruins, but at least we now know the mystery. And Im feeling the same about Wave 6. Doesnt really feel like a finale to me.. If they swapped Snes BC3 with any other Bowser's Castle or even Airship Fortress, And ditched Piranha Plant Pipeline (I dont like that track at all..) for like 1 more 3ds track, It would be (for me at least) a better finale
I don’t get why everyone is so sure Wii rainbow road is coming it is like chill we will wait til the full trailer to see if it is in the game but I will definitely laugh if it isn’t in the game just because for months people kept saying it was a shoein for the game

I almost want to believe that Peachette was added along with Pauline since they both were newer characters available in Mario Kart Tour when that game was launched. It’s kinda like a swan song for Tour anyways since that game is no longer getting new content starting in October.
I genuinely think Daisy Circuit was too obvious. I gotta give you mega props tho because you were easily the first person to point it out. Also,! You were the one who convinced me. Your reasoning had me feeling 100%. The only thing that gave me a feeling of excitement was that I felt there was a 5% chance they'de do an ice themed course for the winter and include Rosalina's Iceworld which I wouldn't have been mad about because they are both in my top 3 favorites for their games. Daisy Circuit better tho
funky is the number 1 reason i was looking forward to wave 6 but with peachette i feel that people are going to hard on her like seriously they are the closes we will get to a bowsette in a game (it is also probably revenge for bowsette to begin with)
I'll be completely honest, I'm not onboard with the peachette slander everyone's doing. We were told there would only be two characters in this wave, and then they decided to give us two extra just because, and of those 4 three of them were fan favorites to the point people got genuinely upset thinking about one of them getting cut. It feels like people are being ungrateful and demanding and a little spoiled. Tho no offense to anyone tho! just my opinion
I LITERALLY think I would have rather have had just Diddy, Funky Kong and Pauline, rather than Peachette being included, it could have been a way more interesting character!! However, I am very grateful that we got 4 characters instead of just the 2 we were originally supposed to have.
I'm just excited we are getting Funky Kong and Diddy Kong. This completes the Wii character roster. If they do have Wii Rainbow Road, SNES Bowsers castle, DK Mountain, and Daisy Circuit, that is four Wii courses in this wave alone. That would mean we would have 16 in the whole game. I am more then happy with the Wii tracks. But they need more Battle Courses in the last wave. Since it's the last wave It's has to go out with a bang. I would also love to see a double Dash mode, but it's probably just a dream. I can't wait for the last wave!!!!!!

Okay I felt the need to make a different comment after fully getting to sit any watch. Pauline and Funky are probably the two I’m most excited about because I can’t wait to see Pauline’s biker suit (hoping for black with Ruby red lining) and Funky is well my boi. But the fact they picked Peachette over characters like Nabbit, King Bob-Omb and Hammer Bro is baffling honestly. Still excited to wave 6! A little nervous that Daisy Circuit could potentially be the last track and the confetti is a fair well thing considering the teasers this year have both been all for a final track of their cups.
At the end of the direct, they've shown us everything we're getting in the chronoloigcal order, and wave 6 was after Mario RPG. Theoretically the earliest possible release date is November 18th, but it'll probably release even after Thanksgiving. I'd say very end of November or very beginning of December.
Here are my predictions for wave 6: Acorn cup: Tour Madrid Drive Wii Daisy Circuit GCN DK Mountain Piranha plant pipeline Spiky shell cup: Tour Rome Avanti GBA Yoshi desert SNES Bowsers castle 3 Wii Rainbow Road The reason as to why yoshi desert is there is because I don’t think there ever was going to be three nitros I just think that they hadn’t decided on those two tracks yet and I picked yoshi desert simply because I wanted to lmao
I have a feeling Wave 6 will release around October 6th-12th, since Wave 5 released about two weeks about it was announced, and Europe and Japan is getting a physical version of the Bass that's releasing on October 6th, and October 6th would be two weeks after September 14th.
Am I the only one who thinks it's especially not looking good for Wii Rainbow Road as they would end the pass with a sort-of "city track" like Tour city tracks? That would still be a logical placement since they're always either on the first or on the last slot of a cup. Big Blue ending the MK8 DLC isn't a Rainbow Road, same with GCN Yoshi Circuit on the DS and N64 Bowser's Castle on the Wii, so as I would like Wii Rainbow Road I wouldn't give it a 100% guarantee, I feel like everyone is setting up disappointment with this track.
@@FlocAud4914 In DS they put the track in order of games, that’s the only reason Yoshi Circuit is the final track, and in Wii they hadn’t started the trend of remaking Rainbow Roads yet… and Big Blue is one of, if not THE best track in the whole series, so ending off on it is fair enough, especially since we still got SNES Rainbow Road in the DLC…
@@Notyouraveragegal69 SNES Rainbow Road was in the middle of nowhere in MK8, it was the second track of the last cup, so they could've followed the trend they started with MK7 in DLCs (even if Big Blue is a great track) but they haven't. The BCP is also a DLC and it's based on Tour, a game that has city tracks as the main gimmick. And since there's already 10 Wii tracks in the whole game (7 in the BCP), Daisy Circuit is the only track they announced in the trailer and it's the only non-Tour retro "city track" in the BCP, its announcement might still reduce the chances of having Wii Rainbow Road as the final track. They would have to remove a retro track from the game while with Moonview Highway, its former placeholder had no prefix so it could've been a nitro track as it could've been an empty slot.

When the teaser was shown, as an avid Funky Kong hater and Mario Kart Wii disliker, I absolutely hated it. The hours passed, and I've eventually come around to it. Even if I think they could've picked any other track over Daisy Circuit, I think Wave 6 will play and look really good. What I'm more curious about, is the characters, and this is where my tinfoil hat theory comes into play. Peachette is definitely NOT the final character. You'd think they'd save that spot for Funky. And considering the teaser revealed 2 monkeys, Pauline and a Peach clone, there's gotta be more characters yet to be revealed. Because Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach are being merged with Mario and Peach to make room for Pauline and Peachette, Metal/Gold Mario and Pink Gold Peach and POSSIBLY Dry Bowser could be given the same treatment, to make room for 3 more wacky and unique characters, specfically Hammer Bro, Nabbit and King Bob-omb imo.
If some of your retro courses didn’t get in MK8, I no doubt see the upcoming Mario Kart offering us new retro courses ! (Rosalina’s Ice World, Shy Guy Bazzar, DS Airship Fortress to name a few of my favorites!)

I know this might not happen but what if when Wave 6 releases we get the option to race on all 96 corses I mean just imagine how insane and crazy that would be also I’m really excited that Diddy, Funky and Pauline are all being added together in Wave 6 now fans of all 3 characters can equally happy also Im kinda disappointed about Peachette why couldn’t we have gotten like Nabbit or Hammer Bro or Poochy or King bom omb
As cool as seeing Pauline, Diddy and Funky were, it feels like they’re only giving Wii players what they want now. In my opinion they should’ve given that mystery slot to a game that needed it, like 64 or 7.
I would like to have a nice cup of tea with the person at the big Nintendo meeting who brought up Peachette to ask him why he chose peachette over Nabbit, Hammer Bro, Chargin Chuck and Poochy.
@@Venemofthe888 TBH, now that I think about it, I think Daisy Circuit replaced a GCN track bc there’s no other Rainbow Road in Tour that’s not in 8 DLX besides Wii. (Not counting RMX RR). There’s no data that GCN RR is coming to tour because they’re not giving anymore new content after 1 month. So the last tracks could be: Prediction Acorn Cup Tour Rome Wii Daisy Circuit SNES BC3 Piranha Plant Cove Spiny Cup Tour Madrid GCN DKM/DDJ (I’d rather DKM) Piranha Plant Pipeline Wii RR This is my prediction for wave 6.
I theorise that there might be more waves... But not of tracks, but of characters, it's the cheapest and easiest way for them to extend the life of this game even more untill the next the next title
My "crack theory" is that Peachette isnt the final character and theres actually gonna be a load of the costume alts from mario kart tour added as alternate characters similar to how Smash Bros handles it. Either that or they'll add enough to fill an extra row. The odds are extremely low but I have a feeling its not impossible.
You remain a legend for predicting 2 tracks I would have never thought make it to the bcp,especially Daisy Circuit. Absolutely kingly we got another wii track and diddy,funky and pauline. We don' talk about Peachette xd.
The only reason I don’t like Peachette in w6 is because Hammer Bro was a much better option, but for me personally I love her! But Hammer Bro would’ve made wayyy more sense from most people’s eyes. I would’ve preferred him for the fans.
I still think there's room for GBA Bowser Castle 4, it received a huge glow up and Nintendo has proven that they can change their minds. For me GBA BC4 was too well remade for it to not come to the BCP
Oh my gosh! Someone who finally agrees with me! I agree. GBA Bowser Castle 4 makes so much sense. I don't see why people keep saying Wii Rainbow Road should arrive when Mario Kart 8 Deluxe already has half the amount of Rainbow Roads. Also, Wave 5 already has two Wii tracks. It would be obscured for Nintendo to repeat the same thing in Wave 6.
This was a great Direct for me, I'm getting so many games shown during it and TTYD is both my favorite announcement and the one that surprised me the most, but immediately followed in the surprise factor by Wave 6! I'm glad that Daisy Circuit is in, seriously doubt it will replace Rainbow Road as the Wii track so most likely a GameCube one instead while pesonally I like all the characters included - Pauline being the character I wanted to see added the most after Kamek - and yes, even Peachette as a bonus one considering we're getting four instead of just two as expected. I disagree also about the track selection, but definitely better to have lower expectations and be pleasantly surprised than the other way around!
I have a feeling that instead they’ll just revamp the entire roster UI and regroup everyone into a way that makes more sense (like putting all the Kongs beside one another).

Good video Albert. So, I'm going to change a bit of my prediction, in which, much like wave 3, wave 6 has to end with a Rainbow Road, and I think that the most likely one is the GCN one, and Daisy Circuit will be the second track of the Acorn Cup..
Gotta say I disagree with ur view on the characters, I mean I get we all think Diddy should have been in the base game but he wasn’t and since he wasn’t he has been my most wanted character since 2014 lol. I’m much happier with him here than not. Same with Pauline who hadn’t risen back to prominence when 8 deluxe came out. Funky was definitely unexpected, most people had ruled him out considering the number of slots left. I have seen some of the most hype direct reactions of Diddy and Funky being revealed, they are very hype good characters to end on. This brings the total number of characters in 8 deluxe to 50!
How is having the three most wanted characters added to the game, thus being expected, a drawback? I get the kooky predictions of random characters and getting it right might look hilarious but these three are LITERALLY the biggest asked for characters. Peachette is the drawback lol. But hey, Nintendo gotta Nintendo and add that funny joke character! You thought PGP and Baby Rosalina were bad enough? Too bad - Peachette!
Why Peachette you ask? She's easier to make than any other character using Peach as a base for literally everything about her, and she's here merely just so Pauline isn't an odd one out in the roster slots, they wanted someone to join Pauline to remove Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach so they picked the extremely easy-to-make clone character for it, it was either Peachette or only 2 characters if we're being honest. And i doubt anyone but her had a chance to begin with the moment they decided to do all 3 of Pauline, Diddy and Funky, it's just natural they picked the low effort clone instead of characters that would require more effort like Nabbit or Hammer Bro. Basically everyone should stop thinking like "she robbed someone else", becuse she didn't, it's thanks to her that we got 4 charagters to begin with. And before somebody mentions it, yeah, Nintendo has time and resourses to port another character instead of Peachette but they clearly want to be done with this DLC already, and they also NEED to leave some characters out so the next game has some hype behind it, E.Gadd, Cappy and random characters like that are not happening ever, so instead they keep all those cool and interesting characters from Tour for the next game, MK8 is already hard to beat as it is, nobody in their right mind would make it even harder to upgrade.

I thought she was out and is very unlikely, but Nintendo wanted to do a bonus for us, which didn't work out so well, but the main thing is that we have 3 characters that have finally been confirmed and will appear in wave 6
Honestly I’m still excited for Wave 6 since then we’d have all the tracks in the game and all the characters that should’ve been in the game from the start. As for tracks, I think your prediction tells us what we’ll get. I’m just seriously hoping DK Mountain is one of the last retros in the BCP.
I REALLY was looking forward to seeing 2 GCN tracks.. but now tbh I'll be lucky if I see 1, seeing how they treat double dash which is the best mario kart game in my opinion, having my expectations very low for double dash sadly

When it comes out will you be making a review of TTYD, it was by far my favourite thing in the direct, the princess peach game and mario vs donkey kong was cool but that’s all that really interested me, but i had no time to watch the full direct live and still haven’t watched it fully
