Totally awesome build! What a platform for ANY adventure! County fair circuit, public speaking, live band stage, DJ with covered dance floor, corporate events, camping home base for ???, whatever floats your boat! Personal adventures are my favorite thing, life is whatever you choose. The world is small they say, just try and see it and believe me, it’s bigger ha ha! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your videos, keep it up! Liked and subscribed!
You should add rock lights under the trailer, so that you can see where you are walking. It's also a nice ambient light for when you don't need the bright top leds.
I would say you took that toy hauler/ camper about as far as someone could ! It looks fantastic in my opinion ! You got me thinking about a 2 story one for hunting ! Lol
Do it! It's fun building something for yourself when you can! Right now I still want to add an AC unit, a different propane heater and a 180 degree awning on the passenger side to finish it up.
My first feelings on that red light, thought it would be an issue. Then when I seen it at night. A person walking by with bad intentions, might think it an alarm. Cool build.
One Wyomingite to another. Awesome friggin build! You could always add a photo cell to your outdoor switch so it lights up in the dark and is off in the daylight. Just a thought, lol.
I'm still not getting your notifications yet I've been subscribed for quite some time & have the notification Bell highlighted.🤷♂️ The build is awesome!!! Can't wait to see it out in the Wild
I was thinking that too. But I decided to keep it detached so I can use it as a portable work light. It just plugs into the 5.5mm barrel plug slots on my Jackery.
I thought about it but the lights would be in my eyes when I load. The overhead lights definitely put out enough for me to easily see the ramps. Good idea though!
you should set the switches to be lighted up when the lights are off ,so at night you can see the switches and off when the light is on. you only need them on to see them when its dark and the ones in the cabin act like a red light night lite inside the cabin giving you a little light to move about. just a thought for you
It's looking great man. I wonder if maybe using cable raceway wouldn't be better than loom. Not only would the raceway hide the cable better but it would be safer when towing on the trails you know one bad place lim could rip all your hard work out. I have done low voltage cabling for years and they make some pretty good raceway track that you can pick up at any hardware store. Anyway keep it up man I'm always looking forward to the next video.
Only thing i would've done different is run each wire to outside steel tube and run them all inside that tube then used pvc tubing from the tube down to a box with your switch in it then ran the pvc down with a elbow inside. You could paint the pvc tube black to match. Where each light went to the tube you could put individual plugs at each point the light wire hit the steel tube that way you can still take them down like you have them. Just ideas!
That looks great! You did an amazing job on it. What about adding two sun shades and maybe a few red LEDs for dark nights that you don’t need the White LEDs? Thinking about building one myself. Thank you for sharing.
Alright, i gotta build one of these! We do mini bike and buggy racing and this would be perfect for race weekends and im pretty sure my new 4x4 would fit on it too. I just picked up a 1993 chevy s10 blazer 2 door to V8 swap and lift it 6 inches with a front SAS Swap.
What is your current trailer weight w/o the Jeep, and with the Jeep? What are you towing the full rig with? Tongue weight with Jeep loaded? What is the trailer bed length/width? I'd love to build something like this - but I think I'd have to step up to a 3/4 ton at least or Dually. Seems like it's gotta be gettin pretty heavy with the Jeep loaded on there and full of gear. Love the build, keep the videos coming!
You should add another light, like the one on the side of the camper on the back, so you can see the ramps better of you have to load the jeep at night or something
They are screwed to the outer plywood but the screws don't go all the way through. Just kind clamp the inner and outer wall together. If that makes sence.
Awesome build! What do you estimate the weight is going to be with all that and the jeep, is the trailer rated for it? And what are you towing this with?
The trailer fully loaded with the Jeep is 11k (Jeep is 5k alone). It has a loaded tounge weight of 1100lbs, and in town it with a 2013 GMC 3500 Duramax diesel with airbags.
