Finally got my Overland Vehicle Systems 180 Awning in and install! Much bigger then I thought it was, massive amount of extra shade. I love this thing!
Just found all your videos of the crawler hauler! That thing is sweet. I’m just starting a similar build for myself and this was the perfect inspiration! Your videos are by far the best I’ve found to help me start out my build on my own toy hauler. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

Thank you very much for the kind words. I finally got the replacement solar panels in so I should be replacing them soon. Still no word from the insurance company, apparently my adjuster went on vacation and left the reviews in limbo untill she gets back......ugh.
@@CodeBrownProductions You needed a rain gutters next to the awning on both sides when ever you unfolding it out . Maybe a mini umbrella ☔ or Velcro tape attached to the awning of same thing as the awning material to permanently attached to the trailer like a according ventilation blind ?
How is that going to be getting past the back trailer's pole connected to the bottom trailer and including the getting past the trailer's lights next to the cover deck ?
I probably did not say it right. The right side of the back, across the horizontal 90° down, then 45°, then 90° back to the vertical tube this will allow the gap to be less. Don't get me wrong, I love the trailer. One of the best out there.
I bet one of those sliding tracks like barn doors use would be a cool fix that would let you slide the awning along the outer rail as needed for shade or rain etc

@@CodeBrownProductions a boat style mast that rotates up and locks in place with a small crow’s nest 35 feet in the air and a pirate flag above the crows nest? 35 feet up is a great tree stand, deer/elk/moose may not even care that you’re there if you’re that high up….
I'm still waiting to hear back from the insurance company on the camper. They covered the removal of the tree but it's a different adjuster for the the trailer. I'm gonna wait to see what they say before I plan my next move.
At that height could also it ad a carport if needed depending upon what your neighbors are doing when you're out. I say that because whether fishing or camping someone always seems to find me and move in next door like they're afraid of something
Btw hella nice setup and ad far as a desk setup on 1 of your inside vids sleepers on big trucks will sometimes have cabinets/closets some have a junk drawer that have a table that lifts up to give access to junk drawer once ppulled out otherwise everything is self contained so its functional but not excessive and obtrusive haven't seen if you already have it solved but if not just to get some ideas
Dude!!!! That tree is dead!! It all needs to come down! That canopy is the tits though man! Totally loving it and the extra shade it provides when you’re outside and the crawler is on the hauler.
Yeah that's what I said to but the insurance company said they won't pay for the removal because it hasn't caused any additional damage yet. On another note I do love the awning. Super easy to set up and so much more shade.
I’d go to Walmart and pick up some of those magic screen door closures or garage door closures and mount them around the backside and rear end this might help you not decapitating yourself on that rear strap
Life is full of Compromise. Few things are Perfect and usually those are the first things to break. You just need a slightly taller Stepladder. Looks good though and as you say gives you options. Stay well, stay Safe.
All you need now is an aluminum fold up deck from door to deck about 1ft wide. Also how long is your trailer. I have a 22ft trailer and a utv and I’m thinking about doing something similar for hunting. Thanks for your inspiration bro great set up

I’ve always wanted a camper and need to buy a bigger trailer for my side by side this spring. I’d love to have the option to build a smaller version of what you have in the next few years

What is going on at 6:26 in the video the rust or brown crud on the trailer and camper box? Not sure what that was just that it's worth taking a good look at and treating now if there is an issue. Hopefully just mud.
I wonder how it will work in rain. Is it waterproof or just for shade? As for the gaps, what i would do - maybe screw in a long wooden beam along side and mount the shade on it?
Hey I know ! How about using a galvanized black metal sheet cut-out added a Velcro tape attached to the metal sheet or heavy Duty magnetic strips on both sides of the awning space gaps . I thought about using a rain gutters on both sides .
Would like to know how well the hurculiner is holding up. Picked up a Thor toy hauler and going to be cutting rear half off and doing semi like what you have (you gave me ideas) lol and looking into exterior coatings as aluminum siding at the moment are crazy expensive!!

I read that proper tongue weight is about 9-15 percent of the gross weight of the trailer. I'm thinking of making a trailer much like yours but will haul two full and one kids quads with it rather than a jeep. The trailer I am looking at is 14ft long and so figured a 6x6 structure and still room for two quads (8ft sideways) and put the kids quad in back of my truck. I am considering putting the structure on the back though rather than front like you have yours and the trailer I am looking at has the just one axle and it is very far back on the trailer. I don't want too much tongue weight and so am wondering how much does the camper portion of your trailer weight (do you estimate)? I reason that if I put the camper portion over the axle and then the two quads go sideways in front (quads are about 500lb each) and would like an upper steel structure deck like yours as well and so it all should balance nicely. I'm not holding you to anything but being you have some experience with yours wonder what your thoughts are?
I did but the camper section is to short to apply it to. Also this one covers more space. But who know I could switch it out in the future if I find it suits my needs better.
Are your poles not adjustable for height? Just don't extend them so far before attaching tie downs when needed. If they are not, just drill a small adjustment hole for stop.
Hey I’m very curious, not sure if you’ve answered the question prior or not but. Have you gone to scale and have the trailer weighted? If so how much does it weigh?
