Nah, you know the game makes good content if dunkey uploads a straight up gameplay video. You know if it "hits" by playing it yourself and seeing if its fun
It's just a "Le funny voice chat" game. I played it for a couple of days with my friends and we had fun doing it. But after that we got bored as we felt we had nothing left to do in there. The gameplay loop is very small and i don't see a future for it, it's always go inside, get stuff out while evading monsters and purchase stuff. That's it. Even with future updates adding more content to it, it will only last you so long, it's about spending a day or two on the new content until you feel burnt out already. Me and my group had much more fun in Phasmophobia and other party games compared to this.
6:07 I love how Dunkey is just casually fucking around on the terminal while his crewmates are getting maimed/killed right outside. Certified Lethal Company classic.
Yeah I only refer to it as “the goop” with a litany of different honorifics (“Monsieur Goop”, “Goop Goopevich”, Señor Goop, et cetera.) and it’s my favorite monster in the game because it’s never shocking so it’s like he’s just vibing around with you.
Floppy casually glitching out of the game with a ladder and then getting killed by Dunkey with a ladder by total accidental is peak comedy This video is a mastapiece

I love how everyone's trying to get their job done and survive the monsters, and Dunkey's just wondering around, tossing important items into chasms and stuff. He's the real lethal company.

For example, while GTA is clearly an Ocean-type game, it doesn't have any Monster energy drink so it can't be considered a Strand-type. It turns out, Eeyore-
Isn't strand genre defined by the incorporation of serendipitous and random social interactions? I don't know if that refers to a game you hop into with friends. I thought it was more about strangers happening by you, or you happening by the remains of a strangers' helpful materials they left behind for someone else to use
@@Grimnoireit's true. Not sure if he had play testers or paid for additional help with bug fixing n' stuff like that because it's a pretty polished game, but the concept and gameplay was one guy. Most of the models, assets and textures were definitely ripped, not hand designed, but it's still impressive how much thought was put into the game and the developer plans to continue support until the end of next year.
@@wxl2562 I saw glimpses of him testing it with friends for about a year before its release. You can't really design a multiplayer game without multiple players, y'know? Also some patreon early testing and such.
@@wxl2562 Man if they were ripped i really doubt it would be still up for sale, though the developer says he makes everything from the models to sound and etc
I do want to take a moment to appreciate that this amazing piece of Co-op Horror is made by ONE SINGLE PERSON. All for an incredibly fair price of 10$ and it's leagues more fun and varied then a lot of the big titles from big companies out there!
Tbh, to a game with that small scale, it is asking a lot from you. You can also get gmod at that price, and have 500x the playtime in that game rather than lethal company. (Except if the game updates frequently, which I don't expect from one ex-Roblox developer..) The game is good. Its just too demanding.
There's been so many great indie games this year, but this is definitely the most fun I've had with my friends. Along with the mods implemented, this game is in a league of it's own.
Is that so? I've only just now heard of it. It looked like it has potential, but is unpolished, no surprise since most games seem to be in early access forever. A sort of Deep Rock Galactic with less focus on shooting and more on SCP sorts of weirdness.
@@kamikeserpentail3778 The game could do with a little optimizing, but all in all it's quite polished as it is. The proximity voice chat works very well. The hosting works well too and you actually meet people close to you. People are mostly friendly and that has to do with the way the game is designed. There's a lot of potential for strategy, especially if you're in for the long run. However, you can also just play in a very casual way with friends for a couple of hours. Honestly, this game is dope and I can't wait to see where the developer is heading with it.
On my first session of Lethal Company, I was in a team with two other newbies and one veteran, who was desperately trying to keep us alive long enough to get back to the ship. It was like a mama duck leading a line of suicidal ducklings through a minefield (and, yes, I did step on one and kill most of us, but in my defense I was told to "run" and on my life I thought I could jump over it). On one mission, he was trying to teach us how to deal with stormy weather, which was fairly basic to anybody who's played Breath of the Wild: stop hauling metal and start hauling ass. We were moving through the canyons on Assurance, our hearts full of desire for loot and our hands and heads blissfully empty, and it was NOT OUR FAULT, OKAY? We weren't warned about standing too close to each other, so the fact that one lightning bolt sent all three of us literally flying was an ACCIDENT. A hilarious accident, but still an ACCIDENT.
you should be thankful the veteran player didnt start calling you slurs over it and then tried to kick you for griefing like most people do in co op games
I love these videos of Dunkey just playing games with his friends and you can tell theyre just having the best time on it. No talking about recordings or youtube or whatever, just having fun
when i saw the shrimp emoji i immediately heard the neck snap sound from a bracken teleporting across the map and merking your entire team in 3 second@@shannonrobbins59
I can't actually think of a better endorsement for a Shenanigan Simulator than Dunk presenting a highlight reel of his own antics that is 17 minutes long. Man's one of the world's top experts on Japes and Tricksome Antics and Annoying Your Friends.
I love Dunkey so much. Every time I’m having a no good day Dunkey always finds a way to make it better. Whether it’s an earnest review of a game making my own review skills stronger, or just a silly video like this with him and his friends just goofing around. The ability to make people smile is not a privilege but a gift and Dunkey has used that gift well. If you read this Jason I hope you know how much people look up to you and respect you. You truly are one of the best of us, and you’ve enriched mine and so many others people’s lives with your presence here on RU-vid. Keep doing what you do!
this, raise a peter and phasmophobia really showcase the pure comedic force that are dunkey and his collection of rascals. dunk fluppy and ben are a legendary trio
10:34 dunkey does the little quarter laugh thing when something is funny but you're trying to hold it because you know a better laugh is coming. Why are walkie talkies so funny? idk lmao. Good game.
