Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (previously known as Lew Alcindor) and his Milwaukee Bucks take on Willis Reed and the defending champion New York Knicks.
It is the 1970-1971 NBA season, and both the Bucks and the Knicks are powerhouses in the league. The Bucks are on a 16 game winning streak, only 2 games shy of the NBA record which was set by this same Knicks team just one year ago.

Lou Alcindor was a great player even though he had a very short career. His replacement, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was even better.

Late 1970s Kareem Abdul jabber early& jabber 1980s jabber peak ; jabber developed a developed a decent jump ; but jabber was never like Hakeem olajuwon& mose Malone a low 📫 post scientist & clinic basketball player

Eight HOFers played in this game. Kareem, Dandridge and Robertson for the Bucks. Reed, Frazier, DeBusschere, Bradley for the Knicks. Phil Jackson came off the bench to hit 2 of 2 from the field in 9 minutes for NY. Both head coaches, Red Holzman and Larry Costello, are also in the HOF.

I like Bill Bradley but he doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame like Jalen Rose says and I think so does deion Sanders it's the Hall of very good many times So we call it seven Hall of famers

Basketball at its best, when it was a "thinking" man's game when coaching mattered. Watching this game I realized that the low shooting percentage because back then players actually play rough defense!

I really would like to see the league just have an all star game without the 3 point line. See how the best players in the league adapt. Spacing the floor and trying to take 3 point shots without a line, probably isn’t gonna be the same unless your Curry.
