The Big O -- Oscar Robertson -- is a newly minted Milwaukee Buck, and he, along with Lew Alcindor and the rest of the Bucks are currently on a 16-game winning streak early on during the 1970-71 NBA Season. Their streak is on the line as they take on the defending champion New York Knicks, led by Willis Reed and Walt "Clyde" Frazier.
The Bucks 16 game winning streak is only 2 games shy of the NBA record which was set by this same Knicks team just one year ago.
This video will showcase two hall of fame point guards -- Frazier and Robertson -- battling for victory. The highlights will be thorough, including not only makes, but misses, defensive plays, and more.
Enjoy!

Thanks for this match-up video. Clyde was my basketball hero as a kid. He personified COOL on and off the court. Still does! 👍

If you watched the game you see that Frazier and Robertson are not matched up. Robertson is matched up with Barnett and Riordan. Clyde guards Mcglocklin when he is in the game and the Buck who guards him the most is Greg Smith. Frazier was my favorite player growing up, but he simply gave Mcglocklin too much room to shoot in this game. He was a deadly jump shooter. Not by creating his own shot, but leave him open and watch out. That is not a player you give any room to shoot. I remember watching this game live. It was the day after Thanksgiving and I always remembered that Reed had a great game. Also, that the Knicks broke their winning streak. I think the Knicks beat the Bucks maybe 4 out of 5 meeting that year. The one team that handled them.

The Knicks were a powerhouse that’s for sure. And McGlocklin definitely could make it rain from outside. He was an excellent championship role player.

Walt "Clyde" Frazier. My favorite player, along with David Thompson.

When they took a vote of the best backcourt of the 70s,Jerry West and Walt Frazier were chosen. Even though Jerry only plated from 70 to 74.

Clyde was my favorite but I have to say Willis Reed controlled young Lou Alcinder!

I’m glad today’s players don’t have to play under those strict ass rules.

I like this much better than today's NBA it's crazy for me to think this was dark-age and now is a Rennaisance

I'd pick Oscar over Clyde, but this is just one game, and they don't seem to be guarding each other.
