2008 Lexus ISF - 94k miles
TLDR: Just exhaust and mild tune with good street tires.
Mods: stock headers with cats intact, Borla catback exhaust with muffler delete(similar to Bazooka), RR Racing tune with 7,200 rpm increase, Joez Intake elbow with AFE dry air filter, 93 fuel. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and Gramlight 57CR wheels 19", tires set at 32 PSI for the race, KCLV AT 23.8.
Using the the density altitude calculator, time should be 12.264 @ 115.95? Not sure if that's needed but some have asked.
Launched with traction control fully off, sport mode on, manual shifting at 7k(by the time it shifts, rpm's around 7100). Reaction time needs work, but it was 2 runs in 3 hours so didn't want to risk a red light. Overall launch and shifting points were great.
My previous best with BF Goodrich sport comp 2 summer tires and no tune was 12.7@112. 60' greatly improved with the MPSS.

Nice run, my ISF is FBO on street tires and my best was 12.39@115.xx mph, planning to get drag radials very soon and maybe 18” light weight wheels, and see if I can shave couple of tenths

Nice vid 👌with cats removed i think you'd drop another .1 , Do you think the 7200 rpm limiter helps vs stock one?

Felix Hernandez I definitely think so, people with gutted cats seem to get like 70% of the results of headers. As far as the rev limit, with the tune you can pick stock at 6800, 7200, or even 7400. I think the 7200 is a nice yet safe bump. Gives you just a little more room to shift at 7k or so without having to shift too early. Especially with the torque bump from 2k-6k the powerband is thicker and you can stay in it.

Checking the DA calculator online it says 1105 feet and 96.81% relative density. track elevation 41 ft above sea level, air temp 75.

How do you launch it
@valdaviper1

Bee Xiong light burnout in the wet box, sport mode on, full traction control off, manual mode using paddles, just floor it and hang on. No banging off the limiter. No brake boosting.

Why not just say intake, tune and 93 fuel?? Nothing else is helping your time here really.

The catback deleted two secondary cats and generally is good for 10-15whp. Intake is really just an air filter and a shinier elbow. Lighter wheels with wider tires.

@@valdaviper1 Intake alone does nothing, but intake with tune is usually worth a few. Then again I’m used to FI cars, I know N/A may be less potentially.

@@Paranormal_Code Yes, the intake elbow I have is just a slightly smoother design and debated online for 4-5whp at the most, more likely nothing. There is one better intake with an open air filter available with a wider MAF pipe and needs a tune but its recommended only with headers and on my newer 12 ISF with headers I had it but had more issues with it than it was worth. Random bogging and heat soak issues. The biggest gain on these cars is headers for about 30-35whp, then catback for 10-15, maybe even 20, and a tune that smooths it all out and adds at most another 10whp. Generally on a dynojet they're stock 360whp cars, around 420 with headers catback tune, and if you add the fancier intake and have perfect conditions up to 435whp. For this specific video I listed all mods only because it was a surprisingly low ISF time for what's basically just catback and a tune. Some FBO F's with worse tires get this time, and some didn't believe it so I put every mod, even the 93 fuel lol. My newer ISF ran 11.9 on street and 11.7 on slicks with the previous owner, but I have yet to take it to the strip and have swapped a few items as well. Hoping to beat it though.

@@Paranormal_Code Actually, the ecu on these cars have complex kclv's and are able to adjust and retune themselves to minor mods like that. The only time you need to use a tune is if you're upsetting massive parameters like throttle body diameter or adding boost.
