Our review in this issue is LG 27GR93U, which is a 27-inch 4K 144Hz FastIPS gaming monitor. It uses BOE’s original modules and has passed DisplayHDR400 certification. The evaluation content is mainly for appearance design, menu function, display effect (color temperature) uniformity, width, color gamut, degree, PPI, pixel arrangement, viewing angle, HDR, viewing, game experience) broadband, width, disassembly work materials , and screen measured data for a comprehensive test.

@@totaldespair7191 Yes, when I use the mac mini which is dead silent I can hear the fan if I get close but it's not audible at normal view distance. it's a great 4K monitor and really fast I recommend it if you find for less than $500, it makes auto switch and keep the tweaks for each input, glow is not an issue like the LG nano IPS, but the first impression I got was I should have go bigger, and I only use it on SDR cuz HDR is not there, so I decided to send it back and get a LG C3 42"

I got this pricey high end monitor last month and it's amazing! I hardly hear any fan noise at all and didn't even know it had fans just incase lol, also the quality is incredible and definitely one of the best 4K IPS monitors out their at the moment! I purchased it for $800 aud from $900 with an Ebay Promo Code!

purely theoretical question, if I disassemble the monitor and remove the cooler (fan), will the monitor work? I don't use hdr, high brightness, and different overclocks.

@@mirarid I just don't like it when the monitor makes noises. I work in a quiet room, and often at night, so different noises get on my nerves. I have already bought a benq ex2710u monitor, it is based on a NanoIPS matrix and has no cooler. Also it has no squeaks from the internal electrics.

@@mirarid I didn't want to check it :) I had an old Apple Cinema Display 27 with a fan, it was very quiet, and you could say I could hear it sometimes but it didn't bother me. But that's Apple, it's not a fact that other manufacturers will use the same quality parts.

I didn't test it out yet as i only use it for PS5 gaming and i'm assuming it will work perfectly since it g-synch certified and free synch compatible with VRR! It works flawlessly with my PS5 at 60 fps since that's the only games that's available but i'm sure it will work as good as higher fps!

that 80 nits brightness at %0 setting completely kills this monitor for me. 80 nits at darkest setting will TORCH some people's eyes man...
