It worked !!!!! Took 10 minutes to do and I had to wait five minutes and it worked, I work on appliances and have my own business .thanks so much ,because I got paid good on this.Just pull on the red wire it will come out and move it over towards the yellow wire after you pull the Molex plug off of the board and make sure you unplug the refrigerator first. , yea baby!!!!!
I have the same model and the icemaker tube heater stopped working. 20 seconds with a hair dryer would thaw it out for a couple batches of ice. I regret trying your wire change. I moved it 3 from the end to 4 from the end next to the yellow wire just as you show and now the top freezer fan and water dispenser no longer work and the icemaker won't make ice at all without the top fan. I moved the red wire back to where it was but the damage is done and still no top fan to chill the ice and no water from the dispenser.
