What an incredible journey we have been on to 'fix' our graphics experience. Thank you as always for all your hard work and for sharing this with us all. All the best and take care, Sir.
I disabled hdr and dobly visio on consoles, and i have my tv set to hlg hdr. I prefer this method because the picture appear more clear and the black level is better. Making consoles use hdr or dolby vision is not great. Making the tv display hdr is way better.
Just use 192 for red blue and green on the service menu for white balance. That is the native white point for LG TVs. It looks fantastic for everything. Just remember to copy down your settings.
Really unfortunate that LG doesn't allow us to change the white balance in HLG... Really cool settings! But I'm a bit hesitant to use the service menu. I'm currently using HLG with TOTK and the yellow tones are completely wrong and orange, so I'm glad you could fix that to a certain degree.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 Thanks! My other comment went missing apparently, but there's another tool called "LG White Balance GUI for manual calibration" on AVSForum with which you can better calibrate LG OLED's white balance controls. Could possibly work even in HLG, which would make this a crazy workaround
You can still use the test patterns on your PC. You don't have to use the 100 and 80IRE patterns on the TV itself. The reason I say that is because, depending on the color management settings on your PC there could be slight differences.
That's right, those differences show, especially when doing 22 points across the gray scale. I tested both where the same for this 2 point high adjustment only. I tried to keep it simple for this one
Im using these settings as standard on the tv itself with no other device connected for sdr and hdr and dolby vision movies is that okay? The white does get super bright tho and sometimes hurts my eyes lol
Thanks for the overview. I am currently trying to get back to HLG, and decided to heavily invest into AMD FMF + HLG. So if you have time, perhaps you can do an update to HLG in the future? I'm sure people trying out AMD Frame Generation which needs all HDR to be disabled would want to try HLG with it. Thanks.
Hello friend, I'm not happy with the colors of my C1, I'm trying color depth 70, I think it looks better, I'm not using BFI, what settings do you recommend for the best colors? I don't care about HDR, auto HDR, I just want a solution, thank you
I followed the same settings, but if I use HLG + Hgig instead of DTM On, the image is white/gray. SDR. I made a couple of pictures, if you want me to send them to you.
@@plasmatvforgaming9648 HDR is turned off in the PS5, and then it's not available in game. So I'm playing in SDR. But it looks exactly like it was in HDR with HLG on. All white/gray.
