Brian, My brother is 30. 6' 4", 195lbs 3% body fat, very healthy. Had 5 strokes on Jan 7th. This is so inspirational and so touching for us. Currently in rehab to be released home on 2/16. Please post more. Details...so much is unknown here for us. Any detail of the first few months to help us understand will be so appreciated. Brain stem stroke, right side paralized, speach struggles...so much the same as you are explaining. Thank you so much!! I will show him this! Prayers to you! :)
My Dad had a stroke. This is a new experience for me and a sad one to see how he is. I always tell him be strong. But there time I'm home that I brake down but I try to stay strong for my Dad
Thank you for your stroke videos! I had a hemorrhagic stroke three months ago, three months before my 40th birthday. Like you pretty healthy so we still don’t know why I had it. Thank you again...I thought I watched all the stroke videos but then I found yours 😊I love that you are positive and keep it real!
Thank you so much for posting the things that you have been able to do on your own, I suffered a massive stroke at 45 and am paralyzed completely on my left side, it is tough to stay positive as you know, hearing someone else be able to do normal things on their own is encoraging
Thank You Brian, Good words of encouragement. I had a sister who is 39 and she had a drug overdose. She ended up being like a vegetable. My Mom had to take care of her Needs at Home! I would go to try and hold her up to walk. The doctors just gave us Bad news all the time…But Your right Things Got better… She walks and is 75% the person she was. And there was not support for a young person like you say. Thanks
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and advice Brian. I am 79 yrs old and my general health is very good. My stroke has affected my left side. I agree wholeheartedly with all you say and I know if given a chance I can improve as you have. I wish you all the best Brian. Keep encouraging stroke survivors as you now have encouraged me.
My Grandma was admitted to hospital today after a stroke. Initially all I could only think of was the negative things until I remembered you and how strong you've been and how you've managed to cope. Keep strong!
Great video Brian! There is nothing better than proving your doctors wrong. There may be no medical reason why you got better, it's all in your attitude and your "never say quit" drive. Yes, it will take time, but the more you want it, and work at it, the better you will get. Another thing you touched on is equally important. Adapt! You may not to be able to things the same way you did before, but if you adjust to your new condition, you can still do most, if not all, of your favorite things.
I AM 26, THE FIRST STROKE I WAS 21, WAS IN A COMA FOR 12 DAYS. I AM THANKFUL TO GOD FOR GIVING ME ANOTHER CHANCE FOR LIFE. I NOW HAVE 2 BEAUTIFUL KIDS, AND A GREAT WIFE........ AND LIKE BRIAN SAID BE STRONG AND NEVER GIVE UP.....
Thank you. I had a stroke in August and I found your video to be very uplifting and inspiring. Much appreciated. I wish you continued success in your recovery.
I love this video buddy😊 I'm 57 and this videos right on point I'm in the insurance business and I have my work has not skipped a beat since I got out the rehabilitation place
Brian you are a great inspiration to me for everything you have accomplished post stroke! It makes me work harder in my business knowing someone like you is overcoming something so major and keeps on going and serving clients. Keep up the great work!!
Brian, you have a lot of support from your fans, friends and family. It's amazing to see and have met someone who has stood up to the pessimists. A big congratulations to you for not giving in. However, My sympathy goes out to the person who disliked this video. You may not like Brian for some reason but I can guarantee it wasn't because of anything in this video. It's a shame you've never learnt the meaning of respect.
After my heart stroke I could walk about 100m first day after hospital. Today I walk the dog -3 km on a very good day! Your body can do incredible things, just takes some time. Have faith in that and believe Brian's words here.
gud to hear brian that u have a strong will and faith that u will recover soon. im only 41 yo. last dec of 2011 i suffered a hemo stroke and right part of my body was affected. but for a year now with patience and motivation i feel better that i was, i can walk now and my right hand works well now just a little problem with the fingers. when i watch your video i was touched because of our the same situation. just what u said always be strong and believe for ur complete recovery. Happy new year!
Brian I have been following you for a while here and i think you prove that if you put your self to it you can accomplish anything Thank you for your videos and your inspiration! Keep your head up and I wish you the best on your adventures and look forward to more of your videos!
Thanks a lot for your video man!b I also added stroke 2 months ago and and I'm in a rehab centre struggling with progression. your video is very inspiring to me
hi brian, we met briefly at the musicmesse, back in 2010 i think. my mum suffered a massive stroke in 2008, she did not recover as well as you did but she is doing allright. she cant move her right arm at all and her leg is also almost immovable. i am supporting her with my dad who is 88 now. i wish you all the best for you and your family, have a great xmas and lots of healthy years to come. Marc
Great video bro....your still my number one celebrity pick and my true hero....you really deserve a huge celebration party from all that you have gone through...your in my prayers and keep up the awesome videos...l

You're a likeable dude, very happy i had the chance to meet you in person at the expo. I have learnt lot from your experiences including this one. thanks and keep up the good work. Or and Christmas tree looks very cool.
Brian, I'm almost the same age and doing a lot of the same things you are. I'm also a stroke survivor at 38 years old and my youngest was only 2 weeks old. I was placed in a coma and woke up strapped to a bed. My family was told that there was strong chance that I would turn into a vegetable. But like you, I am surving and staying active. Your so on the money that we can achieve so much. And I think that this or any other condition has only made us stronger in so many ways. God bless.
Excellent video. Just over a year ago I had a mountain bike accident in which I broke ten ribs and punctured a lung. A day or two later, while in the hospital I suffered a stroke that left my right side immobile, loss of vision in my right eye, etc. mobility has returned to my right side but the entire right side of my body has sharp tingling and my vision is still limited on my right side. Your video is very encouraging. I have been back to work since just a few months after my accident and have been slowly improving. Keep it up.
Very inspirational video Brian. It really speaks to me. My sister was in a head on collision on highway 41 by Green Bay about 2 years ago. She had a seizure and lost control of her vehicle as it turns out. Her rehab is still ongoing, but she is making some improvements. Hope is a funny thing, something normal healthy people take for granted. It takes something in your life to affect you enough to open your eyes and be thankful for the lives you lead. Wish you the best. RockIT Man
thanks for sharing your story not many people realize strokes happen to younger peoplei had my stroke at 42and hearing stories of recovery helps because it is a long journeyto recovery and hard to keep hope alivethanks for sharing
Thank's Brian, wanted to hear you say more about this for some time now. Wishing you all the best & a merry Xmas and happy NY 2013. You're always an inspiration. From DJ BOBBY Q in Australia.
I stroked over13 years ago when I had my frist stroke, 4 in total, still cant work ,still cant drive, never did copletely recover, Im better and I can talk, and walk with a cain, I have Cavernoma its a type of birth defect I guess, you are right you do recover but not always completly.I will be 70 years old in a few months, didnt think I would make it this far, wish you well.
Glad to see you improving man. I too has had an arm that was damaged at birth, your absolutely right, its one of those thing you really learn how to disguise. I have to tell myself to swing my arm as i walk or it just hangs there, I cant raise it much higher than you can. We've never really had a true conversation, but ive been watching your videos for sometime. Merry Christmas Man!
Don't forget to visit Hawaii let me know we can have a Hawaiian luau Keep it up Great job God Bless N Much Mahalo for all your videos. Aloha from Kauai Hawaii
You have great inspiration. Would you like to share what therapies you had to help yourself in your journey ? Did you suffer sensor loss? How did you deal with it?
may God always bless you. remember spiritual healing is far more important than physical healing. nobody will physically live on this earth forever. but if you have receive salvation from GOD, then after you leave this earth, you will live with GOD forever. i would rather be cripple and enter into kingdom of GOD than have a 100 percent physically healthy body but i must live in hell forever.
Hi brian do you remember me? his does not matter for now hope you recover at maximum if not the case i hope you live well even with all these difficulties. But I know your head is much stronger than your body still has the will to live and everything else will be loads more easily. I hope you have a beautiful Merry Christmas, preferably in the company of your children and all what you want as well. cya next time my friend.
If you ever come to Greece, you are invited to our home. You inspire us so much. Here there is not much social support and you are a bright light into our darkness. Keep going friend
I remember a TV commercial that had a symphony that manipulated the sound to simulate the effects of a stroke. Turns out that commercial is banned now. Tellievision is one hell of a drug. RU-vid ftw.
I had a stroke a week ago. First rehab physio today. I am exhausted and my dad just doesn't understand my exhaustion and thinks I should be "normal" by now!!!! Any exhaustion tips appreciated!!! Thanks. xxxx
i am 44 years old. i was in a coma for 3 days and i had a massive stroke about 1 year ago. it was GOD not doctors who took me out of a coma. i thank GOD for giving me another chance to receive salvation and repent from my sins. before i had a stroke, i would put worldly things first in my life. GOD by his mercy and grace, made corrections in my life. i would rather be cripple and enter into the kingdom of GOD than to have a 100 percent physically healthy body but i must live in hell forever
SubhanAllah. God Bless you. Thanks for sharing. Best of luck to you! One guy would rather watch real reality TV, like the Kardashams..and Jersey Blows.
Sounds like you're dealing with short term memory issues just as many of us survivors do... Try doing word puzzles, read. Give your brain a DAILY work out, you'll be amazed at the improvements it'll make. Stroke recovery is ALL about the little things you can do that help you get better at things...Best wishes. BTW, I was 30 when I had mine, I'm now 9 years post...NEVER give up :)
Great vid.... SHOUT OUT TO STROKE SURVIVORS!! My kids keep me going.... ive had 3 strokes...im only 26. tried to kill my self this past thanksgiving... finally seeing a counselor... felt no support... but life goes on
