Here are their names, starting with the oldest: Sam (lead guitarist, violin and backing vocals), Abigal (drummer), Melody (vocalist, bass player and flute), Ethan (Bass, rhythm guitar and now learning drums) and Justin (keyboard).
Abigil was playing the acordeon before she learned how to play drums, she plays acordeon on their videos as the Cristea prior to changing the band's name to Liliac.
This is by far my favorite song/vid from Liliac to date. The three oldest did a live stream shortly before this video was released. I believe it’s titled “Sail Away Secrets”. In it they discuss everything it took, start to finish, to do this video. Including get’n a grand piano onto the beach. It’s about an hour long but was fun to watch and hear their story. Super reaction. This is one of my fave guitar solos by Sam. He has become my favorite guitar player and that will stay for years to come I believe. He even replaced my friend Matthias Jabs of Scorpions and that is a hard thing to do. lol Can't wait for more more Fangdom!! RORH

I appreciate that you recognize the hard work it takes to put a piano on the beach along with the rest of the gear. fans asked for a rock ballad from Papa Liliac and he came thru, he wrote the parts for strings and the girls wrote the lyrics and they added the background singers also. I think they did so good with it. RO&RH
I came across a video i had not seen of them last night, by a couple who have been to 31 (if im not mistaken) LILIAC shows to date, And it was their very first paying gig they didi in a club/ bar & grill in Colorado, after the pier days i believe!! Sound quality isint the best, but it was sure fun to see!!!! And to see just how far they've come!!! What a journey for this entire family! Im thankful to be here to see it!!! I believe great things are instore for this family and band! It's cool that they do it at their own pace! Rock on LILIAC !!!!
I have two favorites from this band for two different reasons. "Nothing" because it is something of an office stamp that sets the dialogue on who this band is. I won't give anything away save for the end, watch for the slowing of the frame rate and the jumpy quality of the film.. it puts me in mind of the movie Nasferatu.. They call it vamp metal and the period film has that jumpy frame rate quality. It gives the impression old school in new clothes which is Liliac to a T. The other is this one. It has the same epic feel as the genre jumping Bohemian Rhapsody or Scenes from an Italian Restaraunt. It's a balad that just keeps building and it's got one thing among all the other songs .. duration. Their stuff is so good that you listen and it feels like a 5 minute tune was 30 seconds.. and you just want more. This was a longing in their cover of Seven Nation Army. When that song ends you're just dying for another 20 minutes of that as it is just so bloody good. This doesn't leave you hanging. This band is made for epics. Sail away i branded from day one as an instant classic I'd put up against prior examples any day of the week. And the sick thing that I know.. is that it's going to get surpassed by them over and over again. "Madness" I think is just the tip of the iceburg in terms of what's instore as a single and an album. All that said, when you get through all the stuff they've produced, you realize my 'favorites' had to be picked selectively as in reality, their stuff is so good it's impossible for me to have a favorite. Every song even in the covers is a different itch being scratched and they do it so damned well. To that end, they're kinda like Queen. Try to pigeon hole them. You'll go mad.
This, is my favourite Liliac original ballad, for me it's pure poetry, and I admit to finding something in my eye everytime I hear it . There's a video explaining how they went about making this video explaining how they moved the piano, it's worth watching . The music video was as usual made with the help of family and freinds for very little money and in my mind is as good as any mainstream music industry production costing hundreds of thousands of dollars . Another mega production video again for an original song is for their masterpiece DEAR FATHER , check it out but make sure you watch it till the end . I think their best cover video is their epic SEVEN NATION ARMY tribute, which is unbelievably amazing, and was made for a reported $500, in their basement studio, innovative talent doesn't necessarily cost big bucks . They carry their own equipment…no roadies! They have a video of how they prepared to tape We Are the Children on a rooftop. They were able to use the elevator except for the last floor, where you seem them hauling the equipment up the stairs, including Abby’s bass drums. I’m Really enjoying your reviews! I remembered that Melody posted a picture of the certificate she received when she donated her hair, it was actually to Children With Hair Loss, not to Locks of Love, but the same type of charity. I went back and looked it up on their Facebook page. She posted it because she got so much flack for cutting her hair. ❤️🦇

Pretty Song. But one of my least favorite from Liliac. It's a Ballard, Melody can sing the phonebook and it would work for her. They are at their best doing Metal.
