I think Short and Tomlin were so good in this series. They are obviously famous comedic actors but they shine here in a serious role. Kudos to them. [Edited for spelling.]
What pressure, you have two of the funniest people in the history of hollywod, and Glen Close who is not a stick in the mud...............I would imagine that the first takes or the last takes were a test of strength not to say funny things.
