@mybro727
@mybro727 5 лет назад
lance ripplinger lol are you 1 of those Ford fanboys I read about? What exactly is “very dated” about the GMC? The Durango and Yukon’s designs are AT LEAST 3 years old, the Lincoln is literally brand new and it’s easily the most dated looking vehicle out of the 3. Look at the infotainment system in the Nav, it looks ancient! The gauges are digital but somehow Ford managed to make them look old and dated. People prefer the nearly 5 year old Yukon’s design over the brand new Navigator simply because it’s design is aging well. It looks fresh. This is why it can even compete with this newly designed top of the line Navigator that literally just left a designers desk not too long ago. Remember, the Denali is 5 YEARS OLD now and looks just as current as the brand new Lincoln Navigator.

I had a 2015 Ford Expedition and it got worse fuel economy than its rating. I then went to a 2016 Yukon XL Denali and it got better fuel economy than listed. The best fuel economy I got out of the Expedition was 17.8 mpg on the highway. It is rated for 21 mpg on the highway. The best I got out of the Yukon was 22 mpg on the highway. It was rated for 20 mpg on the highway. The Yukon actually averaged 17.5 to 18 mpg for the 2.5 years that I had it.

Yukon for me. FCA quality and reliability is subpar still to this day. Lincoln looks nice (besides the rear) but to expensive for the mistakes they are already having with quality (check forums) and gets worse mpg than advertised and worse than GMC when towing. Yukon is tried and true, engine and trans are rock solid, has more room and looks the best imo.

All the Chrysler quality issues are from when Cerebus Capital owned them, not FCA. I have had a 2011 Wrangler, Still have a 2013 ram, and now also a 2018 Wrangler. Never any problems with any of them, the Jeeps are taken to Moab, Colorado, dragged behind RVs, the 2011 Wrangler has been to the Arctic Circle, etc, and the 2013 Ram has also been pulled behind an RV for 25,000 miles, tows 11,000 lbs of tractor, tows a boat most weekends in the summer, etc. Never had any problems with any of them. I would take the Durango #1, Navigator #2, and GM #3 for quality, as the only issues I have had in 2 decades with a newer vehicle were always GMs. GM has terrible electronics.

You all should test some lifted trucks!!! I'm not talking about SEMA builds but some half ton or even quarter ton trucks with lifts (less than 6 inches), leveling kits, and rims/tires. Its just something that's so common in today's market; man buys truck then man customizes truck. I brought a 2018 F-150 XLT Sport and within of two months of owning it I already put Fox 2.0 front/rear shocks and 33' tires with 22 x 10 Fuel wheels. I'd love to see some videos on you all towing, rock climbing, and etc with all different types of trucks and setups! Plus the GMC is the most reasonable of the trucks. The Lincoln is the overall best looking interior and exterior. Then The Dodge is simply just cool but if you need to really tow or haul around a family of four or more its useless!
@vivalesvegas
@vivalesvegas 5 лет назад
Out of the three there, I would lean heavily towards the GMC. I wonder if smaller wheels and taller tires could be an option 🤔 I see some mentioning the archaic live rear axle, that’s actually a preference of mine, especially on something based on a truck 😊

@MrBudge72
@MrBudge72 4 года назад
I'm looking to buy in this segment, and drove all three of these vehicles yesterday. For reference, I'm trying to replace a 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 with an SUV. And I'm buying my next vehicle used, so I can get all three of these in roughly the same price range. Here's my take. The Yukon is definitely the "truckiest" of the group, and I mean that as a compliment. It has a great ride, lots of power, and all the amenities you could ask for. As for looks, I rank the Yukon in between the Tahoe (blech!) and the Escalade. The Lincoln is certainly the most luxurious in this comparison, and has the most cargo room. The only two reasons I would consider the Lincoln over the new Ford Expedition is that the new Expedition already looks dated (and ugly) and the Navigator has 50-75 more horsepower. Lastly, the Durango is the vehicle I wanted to love the most...but didn't. The Durango is more of a crossover than an SUV. It's very narrow on the inside, and feels like an oversized sedan. It drives great, looks great, and sounds amazing. But even the dealer said the Durango was designed to be a Charger stretched out to a 3rd row. The better Dodge comparison to the Yukon and the Navigator will come next year with the release of the Ram Charger.

repairvehicle I posted a reply but it seems to have disappeared. Not sure why. To briefly repeat - I bought my Yukon at 50k and it consistently used 1 to 1 1/2 qts oil between changes, synthetic only. Had the AFM feature disabled about 180k. Now at 212k and still doesn't use a drop between changes. I've been told AFM oil consumption has to do with heat around the valves. But being neither an engineer nor mechanic, I cannot explain. But it worked for me.

I went to a Dodge dealership and they had one spec'd the same as the one in this video. It's smaller than those big beasts and still has 3 rows of seats. However I would go for the Denali. The 2020 GM SUVs will have IRS, but I find it funny that many people state that the rear seat is a deal breaker for them. They'll never use it for adults. For kids it's just fine. I like the Navigator interiors, especially when they're not too blinged out. But I'd rather have a V-8 loping along than a turbocharged engine, especially when towing. Only because I tend to buy and hold. Like for 300,000 miles. The current GM interior has aged pretty well, but I'm looking forward to what GM does next year.

why have the back of lincoln navigators always looked like minivans. i don't care for the wheels either , look like jet turbines but not in a good way.
