Just to clear things up: The song Senbonzakura is not a traditional Japanese folk song. The song was made in 2011 by the Vocaloid producer Kurousa-P/WhiteFlame. Kurousa-P produced the song and used the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku to sing the song's vocals. The song is based on the Japan Meiji revolution. The original PV came out on the Japanese website Niconico Douga, not RU-vid, and the original song had electric guitars, drums, bass, and such. Sometime later on, Wagakki band made a rendition of it that fused traditional Japanese instrumentals into the song. Afterwards, the 3D PV of Senbonzakura came out on RU-vid. The 3D PV came from one of the Vocaloid games from the game series entitled "Hatsune Miku Project Diva". The original 2D PV was released on RU-vid later, and therefore does not have as many views as the Wagakki Band, Project Diva, or Lindsey Stirling videos. Kurousa-P is a well known producer in the Vocaloid fandom, having made songs like Acute and Cantarella too. Kurousa-P also made a prequel song to Senbonzakura, called "Crescent Moon". It is sung by the male Vocaloid KAITO, who appeared in both the 2D and 3D PVs as a blue-haired officer. A possible theory is that the two songs suggest that in Kurousa-P's rendition of the incident, the characters Hatsune Miku and KAITO were the ones who started the revolution. Therefore, the song is by Kurousa-P, the song is sung by Hatsune Miku, and Wagakki Band made a traditional Japanese cover of it. Problem solved, okay? As for Hatsune Miku's cover of a traditional folk song, that's "Ievan Polka", which... is a traditional Finnish song.
I Really don't wanna ruin it for you But while she is playing Most of these are just clips and edits for video footage Yes she is playing But most of her violin movements just don't fit what is actually playing So they are just clips of her playing or dancing Not both and not actually happening It's nice though
I was the stage manager for this shoot. It was fun to have you in the studio that day. You were so cool, and such an awesome person. The bass beat of this song is forever ingrained into my blood. The editor was creating this as it was being filmed. Rarely had I seen anything edited on site during production. The costumer designer did an amazing job. This was a fun shoot. :)
Are you sure? Because Lindsey ALWAYS edits her own videos. He was probably doing his own thing. Lindsey has been editing videos since she was 10 years old (1996).
Yes? Unfortunately, people at RU-vid have limited how many posts I can have in a thread... and probably why you can't respond to my posts. Many guys don't like me having Lindsey.
Ôi thật tuyệt vời làm sao, cái thứ âm thanh này đang len lỏi vào từng ngóc ngách trong con người của mình, một bản violin quá xuất sắc, 2 từ cho bản nhạc này chỉ có thể là hoàn hảo
There are 4 types of people here. People who likes VOCALOID, people who watched Bleach, people who saw the Wagakki Band version, and just Lindsey Stirling fans.
god I have such vivid memories of this cover from middle school. I didn't even know it was a Vocaloid cover at the time but god did I love it. listening to this cover again now as a college graduate? absolutely insane, Lindsey Stirling shaped my childhood fr
I enjoy music, classic Rock n Roll mostly. But growing up listening to Mom's Big Bands albums, diversity..Celtic Woman, Trans Siberia Orchestra, 2 cellos Rock out.. Music Videos tell stories and Lindsey is a star. Phantom of the Opera for one.
to be honest, ive never seen such a person playing the violin so happily and she makes it look like the violin is second nature for her. I was seriously touched by her playing it,I almost cried

+Bunnies Rule AJ yeah it's asuka. And that's not all you missed. Three psp games, five PS3 games, three 3ds games, two mobile games, countless worldwide concerts. Yeah, "I missed a lot" is an understatement lol
Amazingly beautiful as the original. Lindsey Stirling is the one who inspired me to start playing violin. I've known this since I was a kid and now I'm almost 17.❤
So I was showing this to a friend of mine who was insecure and bullied because she did what she loved. I told her, "See that? That's a girl doing what she loves. You can do that too, just believe you can. Shrug off the comments and insults, and you can do whatever you please." Lindsey, keep up the fantabulous work, I'll forever love you for cheering up my bff~
kitty0kat0 vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/%E5%8D%83%E6%9C%AC%E6%A1%9C_%28Senbonzakura%29 Originally by Vocaloid. If you look up the title on Google, this is the first page that shows up.
My thoughts exactly! Lindsey's case is a perfect example of why you shouldn't let others decide your future and abilities for you - you are the one living/going after your dream, so if life gives you lemons... For crying out loud, make some blasted lemonade. ^_
Awesome sounding as usual, but... I don't know, I wish she would try some different styles or something. A lot of these songs, even if it's a cover, end up sounding extremely similar (though not always, of course- I love the really different ones, like Crysyallize, Shadows, Shatter Me, and Roundtable Rivals). Don't get me wrong, I love her music, but when you realize a lot of the same ticks with the violin are repeated and the percussion is almost always the same, you start to wonder what happened to that new, fresh burst of creativity that was the Dubstep Violin Girl.
Ethan Berry Hey Ethan, I have question and that is 'Are you a Pokémon Fan?' I asked because your profile picture is the Pokémon Emerald's main protagonist Brendan.
Am I the only one who's listening to this song not because they have any clue about the song but because they know the song will be awesome since Lindsey did a cover of it
I do find it funny that the song is about the Westernization of Japan, and then a Western Woman is going a cover of it while dressing in a Westernized version of Japanese garb. I don't know if that was intentional, or if Lindsey knew what the song was about, but it was definitely amusing. I did enjoy this cover of it though!
OysterfromAsia02 No one said it's offending, it's just amusing, moreso if it is a coincidence. Though there aren't any lyrics sung to this specific cover, this song does have lyrics, and they're very much about the westernisation of Japan.
*starts singing Hatsune Miku's version of Senbonzakura in my head* *realizes this has more views than the Miku version* *Lindsey is god...* also here's some suggestions that you could do maybe (aka my top 5 favorite Vocaloid songs) :D 1) Electric Angel (8bit remix version) by Yasuo-P ft. Kagamine Rin and Len 2) A Tale of Six Trillion Years and a Night by kemu ft. IA 3) Echo by Crusher-P ft. Gumi (English) 4) The Lost One's Weeping by Neru ft. Kagamine Rin 5) Meltdown by iroha(sasaki) ft. Kagamine Rin and then #6 is Childish War and #7 is this XP anyway great work i loved this so much!
***** lol I can tell by your prof pic XD the meaning is so dark in 6TY1N but it's a really catching song tho. Same with Echo and The Lost One's Weeping
SO I WAS ON A VOCALOID BINGE AND FOUND THIS- THE WAY I *SHRIEKED* IVE BEEN LISTENING TO LINDSEY SINCE I WAS FIVE *AND SHE MADE A COVER OF A VOCALOID SONG? IM DYING*
This song is actually a bit sad. You can understand it by looking at the lyrics: 日の丸印の二輪車転がし / Riding a two-wheeled vehicle with the rising sun emblem 悪霊退散ICBM / Dispelling evil spirits with ICBMs 環状線を走り抜けて / Passing through the circular line 東奔西走なんのその / It's just going back and forth It speaks of Japan's modern democratization under U.S. command, still unable to escape the shadows of servitude and war (ICBM = intercontinental ballistic missile), but note that it uses "evil spirits begone" (implying the U.S. security umbrella) instead of its own military force. 少年少女、戦国無双 / Boys and girls, unrivaled in the Warring States 浮世の随に / Following the trends of the world 千本桜、夜ニ紛レ / Thousands of cherry blossoms, lost in the night 君ノ声モ届カナイヨ / Your voice can't even reach here 此処は宴、鋼の檻 / This is a feast, a steel cage その断頭台で見下ろして / Look down from that guillotine 三千世界、常世之暗 / Three thousand worlds, darkness of the afterlife 歎ク唄モ聞コエナイヨ / Even the lamenting songs can't be heard 青藍の空、遥か彼方 / Azure sky, far beyond その光線銃で打ち抜いて / Pierce through with that ray gun Here it is said that those who die in battle become fertilizer for thousands of cherry trees but are forgotten (melting into the night), even the voices of the departed cannot be heard. There are various interpretations, but most people would agree that the innocents sacrificed in war are forgotten, only able to "melt into the night" under the cherry trees. "Cage of steel" refers to the wartime nationalistic military system; the meaning of "guillotine" is very clear, that is, the murderous war machine; the "ray gun" (originally 光線銃) suggests the atomic bombs and incendiary bombs dropped by Americans. We must remember that the suffering of the people during WWII was ultimately ended by atomic bombs. This year marks the 71st anniversary of the end of "that war" (a term used in Japan to reluctantly refer to WWII, showing how much they detest war). Especially at this time, we should remember. Particularly the relatives of those who died in the war, who could only say "Mr. XX died for the Emperor’s honor," how twisted human nature can be, truly "Even the song of lament cannot be heard." Only a few extreme right-wing nationalists might see this as a reason to fight and reclaim honor, but most people, especially in the Chinese-speaking regions, would certainly not see it that way. 百戦錬磨の見た目は将校 / The appearance of a seasoned officer いったりきたりの花魁道中 / The hustle and bustle of the courtesan procession アイツもコイツも皆で集まれ / Let him and her gather together 聖者の行進 わんっ つー さん しっ / The march of saints, one, two, three, four This passage, when viewed with the accompanying video, first has a blackout with "black rests", followed by the appearance of soldiers, geishas, students, and other Western-dressed individuals, representing various aspects of Japan (military, cultural, educational, etc.), accompanied by relatively obscure imagery and dark tones (卍 宅魔 卍, 2011), representing the prelude to war, where no one can stop the advance of those who claim to be "saints" (homophonic with righteous or evil, living beings), saying "One Two Three Four" (the first two represent the more Westernized Meiji and Taisho eras, sung in Japanese, three and four representing pre and post-WWII Japan of the Showa era). Here, we can mention the Incident of February 26th, which led Japan into total war: The Incident of February 26th, 1936, occurred on February 26th, 1936, in Japan, involving a rebellion of 1,483 young army officers, a failed coup d'état launched by Imperial Way Faction military personnel. Basically, both factions supported Japanese militarism, but the control faction led by Hideki Tojo used this opportunity to purge the opposing Imperial Way Faction's political power. The Imperial Way Faction consisted mostly of radical mid-level young officers, while the control faction consisted mostly of senior officers. The Imperial Way Faction believed that the Japanese Emperor was surrounded by "bad people" and couldn't know the suffering of the people, so they needed to "cleanse" and abolish the cabinet, making the Emperor a military dictator similar to Hitler. However, the control faction successfully suppressed the Imperial Way Faction, but also used the opportunity to sideline civilian oversight. The control faction successfully suppressed the Imperial Way Faction, but also used the opportunity to sideline civilian elected cabinets, all military ministers were replaced by active-duty military personnel, further transforming Japan into a fascist war machine state, which fully invaded China after the July 7th Marco Polo Bridge Incident in 1937, and then declared war on Britain and America in 1941, heading south to fight in Southeast Asia. 禅定门を潜り抜けて / Sneaking through the Zen gate 安楽浄土厄払い / Purging evil and avoiding disasters in the Pure Land of Bliss きっと終幕は大団円 / Surely, the ending is a grand finale 拍手の合間に / In the midst of applause The result? The path of the saints is blocked, the entire army is wiped out, and the grand finale is because everyone has died. Isn't this the greatest irony? Isn't this the biggest slap in the face to all the militarists who initiated and prevented the February 26th Incident in 1936? All sentient beings have gone to the "Pure Land", leaving only monks to "dispel misfortune and avoid evil", because no one can stop those who claim to be saints and their so-called righteous and evil plans. What good is applause? If there was any bellicose sentiment earlier, it's all sunk now! Because everything is gone, in the video, the phrase "grand finale" is displayed first, then the hope of Japanization is dashed by women dressed in kimono and Western lace carrying Western pastries.
I don't like thy cover......I LOVE IT!!!!!! Lindsey...from Something Wild, and Roundtable Rivals, to this....you are the greatest violin player, I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!!!!!
Me first watching: Senbozakura? Is it that one Vocaloid song? ... nah probably not, probably some other song i haven't heard of. *few seconds in* Well i was not expecting this, though i am accepting it. Very much accepting it. Linsey sure knows how to fiddle with that fiddle!
I litterally screamed when I saw that Lindsey Stirling made this song, which is one of my favorite vocaloid songs you could also do the tailor shop at enbizaka - Megurine Luka dreamin chu chu- Megurine Luka solitary hide and seek envy- Hatsune Miku daughter of evil- Kagamine Rin true love restraint- Kagamine Len feathers across the seasons- Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len just be friends- Megurine Luka these are also among my favorites
Senbonzakura is a blade that scatters into a thousand blades the size of cherry blossoms. It's bankai form, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, has the same effect multiplied many times. It possesses great beauty and great destructive power. All in the hands of the captain of squad 6. This music may fit as his theme music.
Byakuya 😍 agreed my favourite captain also just cause Miku sang it doesn't mean it was her song? It was from a Japanese band quite old fashioned instruments and it's beautiful
+MrDrainBramaged I'm in America too and have the same problem, I use a Japanese VPN. My friend is in Japan and said he couldn't watch not the other way around. :P
