Part 2 of the demonstration on using the Line6 POD X3-Live with an amplifier. Download X3-Live patches from my website. glenndelaune.com/patch%20downl...
I had just about given up on my X3 Live pedal board before finally seeing this video. Now I actually have a much better understanding on navigating through those god awful menus! You are without a doubt an excellent guitar player, really enjoyed your original demo at the end too. Thanks very much for posting this!
Hello Glenn DeLaune, very nice settings that are from now on set up in my POD x3 Live. As a french bass and guitar player, I apreciate very much your help to get some nice attractive sounds. Other settings are welcome in case.... Sakutations
Glenn, I too must say thanks. Line 6 puts these pedals and amps out there without very good tutorials. I was about to lose my hair just trying to setup a patch(preset). You helped me so much! Thanks!
wow Glen, I really dig the patches on this demo, its just really groovy smooth. The backing tracks are righteous! The more I listen to your work with the X3, the more I'm likely to buy one!
Wow, I wanted to get an XT Live before, but now that I hear your videos I'm really impressed with the X3. Thanks for this, keep up the good work, you're an amazing guitarrist and great song writer.
Please keep' em coming. These are the best tutorials. I used the Vai and Hendrix in Church last week. I'm trying these four with tomorrow's sets. In Him, MOHolly
I have new modelers (helix, etc.) but pulled out my old x3 for fun yesterday. Was surprised by how great it sounded. Thought I’d watch some old vids about it. That solo tone was great stuff.
@extremevideopro hey Glen, would this be better than a GT-10 for composing ur own tone and really fiddling with the distortion setting? ....and does this have FX like chorus, flanger, harmonizer and all that, like the BOSS GT-10?
I just recived the POD X3 live to day from the USA Im soo exited I cant think strait your vidio is a great help in setting the unit up, and getting a good sound I do hope it sounds like yours. thanks. ozzcarandme
Man I wish I could let you have it but that is going to be on an upcoming album that I am working on so I can't release the backing track. Thanks for watching.
This is Excellent Glenn. Appreciate you taking the time putting this together you are God send. Thanks for your help because I had no idea. But after following your instruction I was able to duplicate what you done. Recommendations. ‐--‐-------'-----''-------------'-------- 😁 But it would be very helpful if you could slow Down as you move between banks and indicated which banks you are changing to. Otherwise excellent.
thank you!!! I have adjusted your sound and I play the pleasure! Thanks you for that that in detail explain also all show! It very much helps me as I only I do not understand this processor it my the first) I am glad that there are still people ready to help another gratuitously!:) continue in the same spirit!!!! I apologise for the bad English! My native language Russian
Glenn, thanks for the in depth videos on this.... would you believe it, I just got the POD x3 Live for free!!!!! Friend bought it, had it for a week, couldnt tweek it to his liking and put it in his close. It stayed there for like 5 years or something. LOL. He gave it to me. I love it. Bonus. Thanks again Glenn.
Hi, I used your tones from these videos with a few alterations for a few gigs of my own and they sound amazing. I looked on your website as it said your other tones were on there and I downloaded the link. They seem to clip a lot however when I loaded them into my x3. I just wondered if you knew of a reason why this might be. Thanks
Great demostration.¡¡¡¡¡;.... thanks a lot nice work... Glenn!!..what do you recommend for a fender strat mexican guitar with alnico single coin pickups??...you know this sound is very different to humbucker that you use to in this video
Great Videos. I've used these tones for a gig and they sound amazing. I'm trying to make a Lead tone which has slightly less distortion, something like a cranked blues solo. Could you give me any tips? Cheers.
Glenn, your videos are very inspiring. You are a good teacher and a great guitar player. In this video you are playing through a cabinet. What changes, if any would you recommend for going directly in to a DAW interface.
Thank you for your videos! I really appreciate you work! I have question on this video. you didn't say how you edited the clean and crunch tones. i would be very thankful if you'll help me with it.)))
Wow, that demo was amazing love the axe too man, was unsure as to weather to buy a pod x3 live or a boss gt10 but i think i will get the pod cos this video has seemed to win me over :)
Man i love you !!! You're the best, no doubt, i bought my X3 Live 2 weeks ago and didn't know what the F*CK to do or i should say how to do, but now thanks to you i got some decent tones in my X3 live, thanks man! Really appreciate your awsome patches you're sharing !!! =)
could i run the x3 through my 4X12 cabinate with no head just the x3? also how do i set up my amp so i can run the x3 just using the stomp effects and not the amp/cab models...so i basically get my amps tone but with modulation and maybe i can kick in a distortion stomp into the clean setting.
Great video! What I would love to know is how to "successfully" attach and operate my Digitech Jamman Loop station to the Pod X3 Live, plugging into the send and return on the pod...so far, I get hissing and difficult to make it work right..close but still not happy with it...
Really good job! Maybe you can give me a hint. I'm trying desperately to get the get Ritchie Blackmores Marshall Major post '74 tone with the X3 - Any suggestions??
Hi Glenn. Congratulations for your videos, The best on you tube. A question: "what amp do you suggest to blend with line6 modern high gain? I like modern Van Halen, Satriani tones. I´m recording the 3rd album of my band SANTAREM." Thank You very much! Alex (from Brazil)
heh i've gotta tell you your vids are the best thing i can find in youtube.. am looking forward for more.. i think line6 guyz shud thank you personally for doing all these.. can u show us how do u use gearbox too..??
Wonderful vids! Same question for me, X3 Live seems cool but the display looks very small, thus being hard to read when the unit's on the floor and you're standing. What are your thoughts on that?
hey glenn playing thru a tube amp which pedal sounds better boss gt 10 or pod x3 live? im trying to decide which one i wanna get. great playing by the way!! you rock bro
hi. liked you video very much. but i've got a question for you. саn i use my distortion pedal with this processor? i mean, can i turn off the dist in this processor and use my pedal instead? thanx
hey, great videos btw, but i have a very important question: what are your settings on the amp itself? i have the same exact amp (crate rfx-30) and when i route my line6 into it, it sounds like crap. what are your volume and eq settings to get a good tone?
In general, how to you modify a patch designed to go direct to work with an amp, and vice versa? Is it a matter of switching cab/modeling...different compression...maybe slightly differen eq'ing?
Thanks for the hint. I read that the Morpheus Droptune has not the best soundquality in lower tuning (more than 2 steps), but the musical stuff I´m doing combines my normal dropped c tuning and for heavy rythm parts dropped b, so my idea is to use the morpheus to tune down my dropped c guitar. I hope this works better. Have you ever tried this?
Im thinking about adding this to my rig, I use a fender hotrod deluxe and a usa fender 52 RI tele, looking for Brad Paisley tone, was wanting to know if this pedal will give me a that boutique amp sound. I was considering saving up and buying a Mesa Boogie, but this is a cheaper route, please let me know soon... any help would be appreciated thanks!
hey glenn whe nu use the pod with an amp, you put the amp on clean channel, but do u then turn down all the knobs down to 0 on the amp like bass middle and treible and all that? exept volume ofc.
Found your videos today. Metallica demo was the first. Your playing is amazing. Curious about the settings on your crate amp. I use a Line 6 Spider III 15, setting controls to mid-level with exception of gain, which is turned down low, and channel volume just under mid-level. No effects on. I was surprised that you use the on-board interface for patches instead of Gearbox. I got my Pod X3 live last week and have only used Gearbox so far. Any advantage to the on-board interface? Thanks.
