Linger (Snowed In) 

It never occurred to me before, but you might enjoy The Long Dark. It's not a real horror game, but the sense of desolation, the abandoned homes that look like people fled just recently, and the actual real threats that exist in the world you're forced to survive in would fit the theme of this channel 100%. It's also just a phenomenal game and I think one of the few survival games that actually feels like you're forced to survive in a real world setting (mostly).

Hit the nail on the head about turning the lights off in a certain order, so you don't strand yourself in the darkness. Did exactly that as a kid and still do it today lol, I just can't help myself. Like turning the bathroom light off at night and making a run for the bedroom sort of thing.

I had one such event happen to me back in 2003. I was a little kid aged six years at the time, about to turn seven, and we had a snowstorm a lot like the ones we've been having this year. However, our electrical infrastructure was not as well maintained at the time, so we had a nearly citywide power outage, which affected our area for about four days. Also at 2:53, that is such a great thriller trope, to have a snowstorm be bad enough to knock out the local radio stations in the area so the player character has nothing to listen to. All the more reason why NOAA weather radios should have become more popular, but if even they get knocked off the air, then you _know_ it's a bad storm!

This video reminds me of this video i watched about the fear of the cold, it was really interesting because it talked about how the cold is a great equalizer. Whatever the conflict in a story might kill you, but the cold will kill you.

For some reason I got a big kick outta "What about that toaster, does that matter? ...it's currently set to 'bagel'." Makes me think of some kind of skit where a bewildered character is trying to flip switches and read gauges to operate some kind of machine and inexplicably come across a toaster currently set to "bagel".

I think you would enjoy playing a game called “antichamber” it’s a puzzley sort of game but really unique. It always reminds me of naissance but without the feeling of a lack of control

This was fun because I just watched the new movie "Barbarian" last night about a suspect air bnb experience gone very wrong. Not only set in Detroit, kinda my southern backyard but it had that vibe as I watched it of a mundane scenario with wildly ridiculous terrifying implications.

Snow reminds me of Russia and it also reminds me of the cold. I'll be honest with y'all, (this comment is kinda irrelevant) I've been told Gopniks wear the tracksuit for warmth. I wear a tracksuit for warmth. If I wear 3 layers of clothing, with 2 of those layers being tracksuits, it would feel like I'm wearing 1 layer of clothing. Tracksuits are hella useless against the cold.

I think the lighting is bugged. It like the HDR effect when you come in and out from light and dark areas isnt working. Thats why I think its getting dark when you come close to a door way. It thinks you have passed through the door already and are entering another lit area and its making the effect of you eyes adjusting to new light.

This game was pretty much PT and The Ring mixed together. Also the ghost girl is an asset i've seen in another game.

I don't know if the assets are defualt assests but a lot of the assets seem to be from thief simulator.
