LDL causes atherosclerosis. That’s a fact. We now have drugs that can wipe LDL out of the blood, but is that the end of history? Probably not. There are other causal lipids (lipoproteins) than cause atherosclerosis. The next target for therapy is probably gonna be Lipoprotein (a).
