Add depth, pattern, and color to bland pantry shelves and make them a focal point in your tiny space. Small spaces not only lack square inches but are often short on architectural interest and detail. With liquid starch and your favorite fabric, pantry shelves can be "wallpapered" without commitment; easily removed without harming walls and shelves.
Come with me into my beach petite cottage where I put small-space decorating tips to the test for a gorgeous, renter-friendly and budget-wise Pantry Refresh with Liquid Starch that you can easily do in your own home.
Follow me! Let's decorate together and maximize every square inch of your space.

Finally, I have reached my goal to view and like all of your videos. U cannot wait to see more videos. This is a great idea. I love the play on black on white pattern and vice versa. I love the green dishes, and cups. I also love the lemon door knob.

You’re so sweet. Yes those lemons are actually vintage salt and pepper shakers from my mother’s collection. I like them better as cabinet door “tassels.” Give the starch fabric project a try. Start with something small, and you’ll gain confidence really quickly.

Love that you started off this video with the SD beach!!! The contrasting fabric looks fantastic. This is a great idea. What's the difference between liquid and spray starch?

Thank you Joseph for that great question. When push comes to shove I am certain liquid starch could get the job done. But some spray starch products include possibly caustic chemicals like butane, propane, isobutene, silicone, sodium lauroyl. You also need large amounts to soak up into the fabric and that’s why liquid starch makes sense budget wise.

I love this idea. Looks so easy too. Is it very hard to remove if I make a mistake?

Thank you. Fabric peels off easily without pulling up paint. If there is any resistance, just use a sponge and water to soak for a minute and then pull fabric off.
