Hey Emily! I really needed this today, I have been watching your videos for a few months and you have really been a great help for me to get out of quasi and into full revocery, to take action against my ED voices, and to listen to what my core self wants. I love you and your work! Thank you, you mean more to my recovery/life than you know! xx

Good to see you! Thank you for this very important reminder. 💚 sometimes, doing the opposite looks like sitting in the bus (instead of staying), staying home instead of walking (even though I really enjoy strolling around nature), it is eating chocolate instead of another apple... Sometimes it looks like doing things 'against' my body which wants to move all the time (actually- it is not against my body, but against my lying voices...). I am so greatful that you share your knowledge and experience here! It is very helpfull! Hugs, xx

Hi Emily, thank you so much for this you have no idea how much this has helped me this morning! Did you ever come across a situation during your recovery journey whereby things had got a bit better for you (e.g. physically) and friends or family or relatives assume everything is fine now based on appearances and then that made you feel like you should stop with recovery actions or made you feel like a ‘fraud’ for still focussing so much energy on recovery, or struggling, or still being told by professionals that you need to restore weight despite what family think? I feel so self conscious and like I’m being judged all the time Xx

Hey Lily, thank you so much for sharing here and whilst I have indeed come across this experience multiple times I want you to know how sorry I am that this is what you are currently having to navigate alongside your recovery journey. This kind of situation can feel really tough in recovery but what matters is that you hold on tight to your core self's knowing and that you focus on your path, your plate, your body and YOUR recovery. It is clear from your message here that your core recovering self knows that this is not your finish line and regardless of what others think/say THAT is the thing you need to listen too, and action. Sending lots of love and strength

Thankyou for the video! I was wondering if you have a video or want to make one about the struggle to eat ‘normal’ meals. I have no fearfoods anymore, but I still struggle with amounts and having a big meal. I eat more times a day to get calories, but I really wanna know how to eat a good meal, and what it is. Instead of eating a lot of small things through out the day. Hope you understand what I mean🙈

Hey Jessica, thank you for your support. I do have a video from a little while ago on increasing portions which I think is the closest thing to this topic but I will definitely add this question to my list of video's to make. Thank you again x

Hi, I have really been trying to do this. I'm 2 and a half years into recovery and still gaining weight. Really struggling with this if u or anyone else has any advice. I feel out of control and still so uncomfortable in my own body.

Hi there, thank you so much for sharing and I want you to know that although the recovery journey can feel incredibly isolating and scary at times, you are absolutely not alone in this. Recovery can indeed take time and what is important is to step back and look at the whole picture of your recovery journey and make sure that you are giving your body and brain all that it needs in order to be able to fully heal. Dropping the judgement around 'how long it's been' is important because sometimes that alone can prevent us from getting really honest about where there is still work to do, either in terms of nutritional rehabilitation or neural rewiring. I'm sorry things are feeling scary and uncomfortable at the moment but please do lean into the fact that you can trust your body and that, when given the time, resources and space to do so, your body knows what it needs to do to heal, restore, repair and recover. Sending love and strength xx
